She added some extra pieces and made some thoughtful additions, that made the decor extra special the day of the event. She came on time for setup, and was there for prompt breakdown after the event. Everyone commented how beautiful the balloon arch and decor was! Her communication was prompt, transparent, professional throughout the process. A review post rescheduled event:…read more Overall, our guests were comfortable, the sound system was good, the room was clean and airy with high ceilings and needed minimal decorations. There was room for our food and sweets tables as well as for a small dance floor which was appropriate for our intimate event with close family and friends. As an event space, the sky tower room delivered all of the things we were looking for. ---------------------- The space was clean, easy to access from the Highway, there was street side parking for our guests as long as they arrived early. The general manager Shanita(?) was there cleaning from a prior event and greeted us at the door at 2pm. It was good that we started the event later (4pm) than our reservation started (2pm) because our DJ had to work with event staff and call the owner because our DJ was having trouble connecting to the system. We followed up with staff onsite to make sure we revived the ice, serving trays, and table linens that were included in our package. We decided not to follow up about using the projector/tv screens after being brushed off when we asked for the other included amenities, but there were two large flatscreen TVs behind the sound booth. There was another event happening at the same time in the smaller room next door and we could only hear them (and assume that they could also hear us) if the front doors were open. At one point a guest from the other party clogged one of the toilets so it was shut down. The site manager was there to direct people to the right room and to shut down the room that was out of service. We started cleanup at 8 pm and we did our best to clear the space of debris that was generated by our event. The contract was very specific about prohibited activities (IE: no tape. No confetti etc) so we wanted to be sure to keep up our end of the deal especially because some of our decorative balloons popped and made a mess. The manager came in at 9pm and let us know that she would handle the rest if we got our items out of the space. We (clearly) did not have the best time negotiating the terms of the rescheduled event especially when we wanted to switch event spaces. Beautiful site. Lovely amenities.

She couldn't even reciprocate a "Hello" upon ny arrival to the location. Her responses on inquiries were cold, with an angry demeanor. Partopia could not provide a small delivery to my home 1.5 miles away and charged an exuberant fee ($300) as security for chairs and a tent rental. Upon returning the items I was told the security would not be returned for 3-5 business days. Very disappointed and needles to say, I would not recommend nor will I be using this business in the near future. Gratitude is everything and Partopia fails to be gracious or grateful to their customers.

We had a very bad experience with Abbott and Sons Rental. I was hosting a party for my daughter…read morewhich began at noon. Delivery of the furniture and linens were scheduled for 9 - 10 am (which would have left at least 2 hours for set up). However, when they did not show up by 10:00, we began to call Abbott and nobody was answering our calls. The rental truck and delivery guys showed up after 11:30 am! It was a disaster trying to get the 7 tables and 33 chairs unpacked and set up - while guests started to arrive! Guests helped unpack and set up chairs, set tablecloths and decor, get the food displayed on buffet tables, etc. It was embarassing to say the least. The delivery staff wanted to dump and leave the furniture and we insisted that they at least help us unpack the folded chairs! Furthermore, we scheduled for pickup later that day. When they showed up to pick up the furniture they were RUDE to the security doorman, refused to show identification, and moved past our security to go pick up the rentals from the party room! Our doorman called us in the apartment right away and was very upset. Upon raising all of these issues to Colleen at Abbott the day after the party, she confirmed that the delivery time of 9 - 10 basically became unrealistic to them, although they NEVER tried to contact us to let us know they'd be VERY LATE, let alone respond to our calls that morning! She then denied the whole other incident of pickup and not following our building's security and entry policy. She said she believed her delivery staff's side of the story rather than ours. Clearly Abbott and Sons has no concern or respect for the customer. They've offered no money back (which now comes as NO surprise from this company.) Well, at a cost of $400 for the rentals I guess they figured a TERRIBLE review of their company was worth it to them. DON'T USE THEM!!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT!

We scheduled our rental furniture to be delivered between 9-10am the day of my baby shower, which started at 12pm. At 10:15am I gave them a call to see where they were because no one had shown up or contacted me yet, but they didn't pick up the phone or return my message. I had to call a second time and the officer manager, Coleen, wasn't aware of the late delivery. She said she would find out and give me a call back, but she never did. The delivery staff didn't arrive until 11:30am!!!!! and the furniture wasn't in the room until 11:45am--15 mins before the party started. By that time we already had guests arriving, and had to put them to work to set the tables and prep the room for our party. To say they totally ruined the morning and caused everyone a TON OF STRESS on what should've been a joyful and stress-free day for the party hosts AND guests would be an understatement. SUCH A DISASTER. Then, when they came to pick up the furniture at the end of the day, they didn't contact me to coordinate or be escorted (again) and were EXTREMELY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL to my building's receptionist/security guard. When he asked them for identification they refused to provide it, gave him terrible attitude, and pushed past him. Not only is this completely inappropriate and unprofessional, but it is a security concern. I tried to give Abbott and Sons the benefit of the doubt by calling Coleen the following day to ask for an explanation and apology. Not only did it take multiple phone calls and messages over the next few days for her to pick up the phone, she was defensive and denied that her staff would treat anyone that way. She also told me there was a scheduling conflict and they had multiple deliveries scheduled for the same time that morning, which is why the delivery was late. Why didn't she tell me that when I booked it and we confirmed the delivery time??? Save yourself and your guests the hassle and stress and DO NOT BOOK ABBOTT AND SONS. I have never had such a poor experience with a vendor before in my life.
