Got membership, and unexpectedly got a job out of town this month, and needs to go out West within 3 weeks to start new career. So he had to cancel his gym membership. THEY ARE CHARGING him for 60 days, as they said it was written in their contract, that you need to give this much notice when canceling or you need to pay!! What B.S. that is, they could't waive that fee due to the unforeseen circumstances of his new employment out of town and said he was out of luck and that is the policy. B.S. B.S. B.S, as anyone who is in business knows, things can be modified/waived and changed, (this isn't like a government or law) for God's sakes, and policies can be broken. This is just ridiculous in what their explanation of this was, and said he was to read the contract that he signed. WHO READS any of these contracts anyways for a gym membership??? NEVER will recommend WORLD GYM to anyone ever, as with this kind of operation, and unrealistic expectation of needing to provide 60 days notice of cancelling, it is just a MONEY GRAB from there end. PERIOD!!

For a gym that gives you the basics and is in a good location in Brantford it as all the equipment you need. Yes they could bring in a few other machines but they have enough weights to supplement that. Lots of cardio machines. When something is broken they get to it within the week unless the parts are unavailable but they get on it asap. Definitely changed my mind on Crunch fitness!!! 5/5

I have been a member since 2021. Since being at this gym I…read morehave had 2 personal trainers because my first one was fired. The equipment is not very well maintained. The trainer I had left to train at another gym so I went in to cancel my membership and was met with being told I had to pay for another month ( which I can understand) plus they charged me the 56.00 account maintenance fees.Today they took out another 200 in personal trainer fees for training and I haven't been even in the gym in 2 weeks. They say I have to discuss that fee with the personal trainers. Good luck trying to speak with the personal trainers or a manager, the trainers are only there when they have clients and the manager is only in during the day when most people are at work. My contract was already completed and I was on a month to month plan. If you join this gym be aware they will continue to take money until they feel like stopping. Tomorrow I will be visiting my bank to make a stop payment on anything further they attempt to take.

They literally know nothing except "it's corporate policy." There is no membership loyalty there and they do nothing to maintain or try to help their existing members. They don't even try. Take that in. Don't even try! Even though I have been going there a couple years, my price increase this year is $263 plus tax! I was paying annually so I didn't have to worry about payment more that once/year. They have my money upfront to earn them interest for the year but It worked for me. Yet I get penalized for it. It was already expensive but they just priced themselves out of the market. I understand that everything in this world is more expensive, but wow! A gym membership is a luxury and they just don't understand that people won't be able to afford that kind of increase. They got many new members (greater than 100) after a gym in the area closed and they had a special to recruit them. If they can do that for them, why not for existing members? They managed to get that through "corporate." No customer retention period. Even the monthly payments are going up (according to their member experience supervisor) yet they claim that if you pay monthly or bi-weekly, your payments will stay the same. Say one thing, do another. Exactly what happened to me. Also, they aren't keeping up with little things there. The womens gym has had to tred mills broken for 3-4 months now claiming waiting for parts. One of the tred mills has buttons so hard to get to work everyone avoids it. They took 3 TV's out of the womens gym. Why? The pool is down for maintenace frequently. Black spots on the ceiling in the womens shower area...black mold? Just all the little things that are accumulating. Some of their class instrctors are amazing...I mean AMAZING! They go around the room and make sure you have good form so you don't injure yourself, are cheerful and interactive with the class, change up the class a bit each day so it doesn't get boring, move at a pace that isn't so fast members aren't at risk of injury from the shear speed they want us to move, show options and have fun with the people in the class. Others instructors get up infront of the room and just get a good workout themselves.They don't show what we should be doing, don't show different options (ie: easy, mid and harder) or correct if there are poor body mechanics or interact with the class. One of them claims there isn't enough room to move around the room but she claims corporate policy says they have to allow that many people in the class. Again, corporate policy and metrics following without forethought into actual member safety. So sad because it was a great place. Now they are just corporate machines that act without keeping in mind the customer experience counts for far more than they realize.

Clearly discrimination is ok at that gym. I asked Carrie to provide me with a mask. She said we don't have masks for our clients and refused to help me. Working out has kept me going and is great for my heart. Her tone of voice was belittling! I can't believe she works in customer service. When I came back in with a mask... she disappeared so she wouldn't have to deal with me. Carrie with short blonde hair needs to be retrained! And needs manners when dealing with people! She could have handled this situation much better! Perhaps a factory job would be a better fit... no customer service. Go into the gym with a mask... get onto a machine and take the mask off. Finish on the machine and put the mask on. After a cardio workout... your body needs oxygen. I canceled my membership after 7 years. This place is a disgrace. Plus staff who work at a gym shouldn't be overweight... that shows a bad message!

Here you will find a community a family that will motivate you and encourage you on your journey. It's a place where you can go and be greeted by friendly conversation and words of encouragement in your daily lives as well as your fitness goals. This gym is where I was most successful in completed my fitness tasks. I have yet to find a facility with the same atmosphere. There are trainers here that will truly change your lives mentally and physically. I would highly recommend Nick for drastic results however be ready to work for them. Marissa who has completed huge results herself and is now a trainer is an inspiring influence and motivator. Another thing is this place is open 365 days of the year !! Never closes.. And to top it off they just added 24 hours for those members who are shift workers and just can't get in there in normal time frames !!! I highly recommend visiting their website which you can find on google under "the fit effect" read current members stories and see pictures of their changes. They advertise all these accomplishments on their walls inside to always convey that it is possible to achieve !! In the summer they have an outdoor area for those that also want to catch some rays.. Amazing gym and 5 stars without a doubt !
