This gym is great!! From the setup process to the kids club to the cleanliness to the availability of items to use, everything is top notch. Gus got me signed up with a lower rate then is offered online! Marcus did my intake and Brooke showed me around and let me know how kids club works. I've been having and raising babies for the last 3 years and have put my fitness on the back burner (and snacks on the front if you know what I mean ) it's time to get back to pre baby strength and size and I could not do this if I didn't have childcare. My kids love it here. My toddler asks to "go exercise". This also helps keep me accountable!! Kimberly, Rob, Daisy and Jesus have also been the kids club caretakers and each one is soo good with my baby. I am happy that I can be so close to the kids yet still get some ME time. Roy called to set up my body scan and training offer too and that's awesome that they keep "in the know" about their new members and their needs. The gym is smaller and not enough squat racks to start. NOT even opening your place of business at proper hours of operation is sad. It is well past the time of opening on this Sunday morning. I drive up to see numerous people sitting on the curb outside of the gym, along with others waiting in the car. Apparently a gym employee didn't wake up/aware they had work. Not the end of the world but I don't pay 25 dollars a month for the gym not to be open at the hours that they specified themselves. Pretty unprofessional and will gladly drive farther/pay more for a touch more of professionalism and space. read more

Ok so Covid isn't going away, we've accepted this, and are grateful this gym is open along with its Kids Club. We've been coming to this gym for years (because of its Kids club). Unfortunately I'm saddened to hear that Ed is no longer the manager. We have grown to respect and admire him and watched him grow into a wonderful leader, I am very disappointed he is gone. Ed if you're reading this we are hoping and praying you return!!! With that said, we still have some original kids club helpers Hilary and Brooke who we love! Hilary and Brooke watched our first baby and now they are watching our second baby and we so grateful our family has found a home here with people we trust to watch our kids. I was coming here for some time in the mornings however I stopped. Due to my scheduling restrictions I could only come at opening. However, I stopped because the girl at the front desk, Adriana or Ariana was very rude and unwelcoming. She would never greet anyone and seemed to be bothered if she was asked for assistance. I found out through another member, that the opener is now a different gentleman. He is very welcoming, and seems to do a better job at cleaning the women's restroom as well. Overall, I really am glad the staff has been so welcoming and nice. Especially the manager Gus , always greets you with a smile and their amazing trainer Kimberly. Fitness 19 in Brea has been my main gym for the past 2 years and I love it! This location, also, meets all my needs when it comes to my workouts -- plenty of cardio machines, friendly staff, great location (right off the freeway), plenty of weight machines, free weights & squat racks. The bathrooms, equipment, hydro-massages were all extremely clean. Definitely recommend for anyone who is looking to get their sweat on for a good price! read more

Don't go here unless you want to get COVID. Employees don't wear mask, customers don't wear mask, no social distancing enforced, no wipes to wipe down stations, extremely cramped spaces where I'm on top of other people trying to work out. Even before COVID this place was a dump. I've been to better fitness 19 gyms like in Redlands. This one is below average. Don't have signs that say wear your mask, social distance, etc. if you're not going to enforce it. I don't care what your beliefs are. Also clean the bathroom it's disgusting. read more

We fell in love with this gym because of Brooke in the Kids Club! She's the best! And we found her during a time when no gyms were offering childcare post-Covid so I couldn't have been more thankful for her to watch my 2 kiddos while I got a good workout in. read more

***Update*** I spoke with the new General Manager and the old, in person requirement has changed. The new policy has the customer in mind. During covid season I gained a couple pounds and became really insecure about myself . After talking to many gyms , and several personal trainers no one was able to gain my trust and made me feel as comfortable like Gustavo guzman from this gym. I had came to Fitness 19 before , but I noticed a real culture change in the PT department when Gustavo came along . Small gym. Not much to work with. Good if you want a quick workout. Usually always packed at night. UPDATE: was charged the club fees after only being at the gym for less than 3 months. Cancelled it and they wouldn't refund the annual fees. I sent an email to the manager/owner but haven't gotten feedback. I'm assuming they forgot or it doesn't matter to them since they got their money. Beware of what you sign and cancellation fees because they do not clearly identify those at the time. read more

This place is a joke. The representative told me to sign up for the month to month plan so I could avoid any fees if I would like to cancel once my regular gym opens so that's what I did. Turns out that is not the case once I decide to cancel I get hit with a charge. I don't mind paying the fee it's the lack of honesty and transparency that really disappoints me. Best value gym I have found. Reasonable, no contract membership. Has all the cardio, strength, and free weights you ever need. But the best value is their kids club. All the ladies (Iris, Hillary, and Brook) who work in there are fantastic. They keep the kids (with a large age variation) engaged, active, and safe. They don't plop then in front of screens. We have 6 kids and the three that are kids club age love coming! I highly recommend this place. read more

This place is a complete rip off. What gym or management team sends someone to collections during a pandemic. I was in contact with the "owner" via email to cancel my membership, but they said I can only do so in person. This was like March or April, so no I wouldn't go into the gym during COVID to cancel. They haven't even been open for pretty much the last nine months. Why would anyone in their right mind want to go to this gym during a pandemic when it's never cleaned and unsanitary. Love coming to this gym. It's a great environment to workout in and everyone is super friendly. Kimberly is great. She gave me a tour of the gym and did an assessment. If I could rate this gym ZERO STARS, I would! First off, they kept billing me for kids club for 2 consecutive months when kids club was already closed without me knowing it as I had to take a hiatus due to a medical issue. I went there personally to cancel my account and was told it was an immediate cancellation and now they are calling me, harassing me on the phone telling me I owe one more month when I already cancelled since APRIL 12, 2024. This gym just wants to rip you off when you sign up because they want you to pay for their personal trainer. I signed up with premium membership and the manager never told me that classes were part of it until one of the trainers actually told me that classes are part of the premium membership. This gym gets very packed between 6 - 8 and barely has weights available. I was told I was going to get refunded for kids club when I went there on 04/12 but only got the refund on May 15/2024. They also billed me on May 13th with my membership plus the kids club. Now they are insisting, I have to pay a last month's bill???? Are you kidding me?:???Isn't the May 13th the last month's bill since I already cancelled 30 days prior????Stay away from this gym! read more

I started going here two and a half years ago. I was initially hesitant about the whole personal trainer thing, but that all changed. I luckily got Laura and she has been an amazing trainer. She helped get me ready for my wedding and a marathon, which I didn't know I could do. Laura is a tough cookie, she pushes me because she knows I can do what I doubt I can. She is kind and friendly, which makes me, the customer, feel valuable. Thanks Laura, for being you! I would highly recommend her to anyone. Also, I really like coming to this gym. I love this fitness center! It's clean, never crowded, & machines are well maintained. I never have to wait on anyone, employees are ALWAYS friendly, it's like a family there! I love Fitness 19! We have been going there for about 5 years now. The equipment is great and the staff is wonderful! They always keep it clean which I like. The hours are perfect for us. I never feel like it's too crowded where I can't use the equipment even when there are a lot of people there. They do offer daycare at certain times if you need it. They have TVs everywhere so that's nice and always play great music! It helps me keep moving. More recently my daughter needed to do an interview with a business that centered itself around fitness and well-being. Jimmy at Fitness 19 was very accommodating and very informative. He spent the time with my daughter educating her on this. I feel he went above and beyond and we are truly appreciative! If you thought about checking it out and haven't I definitely recommend you do! We love Fitness 19!! read more

I moved here from a much more expensive gym and was pleasantly surprised to discover that not only was I saving tons of money, this gym was also nicer. The equipment is very new and there is plenty of it, the gym has always been clean every time I've gone, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and they have plenty of high-tech touches throughout. I got connected with one of their trainers named John G. - very patient with a chill personality and definitely knows his stuff when it comes to training. I knew nothing about working out and was quite uncoordinated when I started and in just a couple months worth of sessions not only am I stronger but also have better technique and more confidence in my workouts. Although this gym is small, it provides the basic needs for a gym. The equipment is good for being as small as a gym as it is. The downfall is that sometimes many of the machines you want to use are taken up because of the lack of equipment. They also don't have much room for the yoga mats that they provide. You have to search around the gym for a good open spot. Some people want showers at the gym that they are signing up for, if that is your case, then this gym isn't for you. There are no showers but they have lockers and changing rooms. For $10 a month, it is worth it. I actually like that it is a small convenient neighborhood gym. Many of my friends got to LA Fitness or 24. I think they still pay too much when they hardly go. Fitness 19 is pretty reasonable. If you get lazy and hardly go when you have a membership here, it's not much of a money loss. read more

I recently started going a few months ago due to a car accident and noticed the gym was super dirty and the restrooms were dirty as well and soap dispensary was not filled. None of the staff members are wearing masks! With Covid running rapid they should make sure the gym is disinfected and cleaned. Thinking of canceling my membership. read more

I've been working out at this Fitness 19 gym for over six months now, and I still enjoy being a member! It's not the fanciest or most impressive gym, but I think it's a pretty good deal for the cost of membership. Another reviewer described it as a large apartment gym. I'd say that's quite accurate! All I need are free weights and a few machines... Maybe a Stairmaster or a treadmill once in a while when I force myself to do some cardio. This gym checks those boxes, plus it has a TRX area. I don't shower at the gym or take group classes, so I don't mind that these features aren't offered. I would appreciate some more floor space, but it's not a big deal because this gym isn't very crowded (at least not when I go during weekday mornings). I like the staff here. I usually get at least a head nod or a smile when I walk in, and I actually like that they aren't overly chatty. I always see them reracking weights or vacuuming, and they do a good job of maintaining the cleanliness. Also, huge kudos to Josh, who helped me jumpstart my car today when the battery died. He could have easily just said he couldn't help me, but he took the time to make sure I was able to get home safely. My only gripe about this gym is that people don't rerack their weights. Otherwise, I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a no frills gym with great value! read more

It's a basic gym that will meet most of your needs, but it's sub-par compared to other Fitness 19 locations that I was previously a member of. The price really can't be beat. However they do charge a sign on fee as well as an annual $40 fee that is taken during your 3rd month. The basic membership is all you really need, but it also comes with a higher sign on fee. Step up membership and you get to bring a friend on the weekends along with usage of their massage and tanning area. Step it up again and you can bring a friend daily. If you can afford it and have a gym partner, that seems like a solid deal to me! Now the gym - it has your basic needs. Cardio, plenty of machines and free weights. They all seem fairly well maintained as well. It does get fairly crowded however, and in the afternoon when it's hot, there's poor air circulation. Things I find it's missing: - FLOOR SPACE - there's barely any free mat area; you can do your work in between treadmills and in front of the lockers but you're kind of in the way most places. - LOCKER ROOM - they have lockers outside, but not designated locker rooms - SHOWERS - not a huge deal breaker for me, but important for some - CLASSES (while you pay for them with the upgraded memberships here, you don't get them. The closest Fitness 19 where you can use the classes you pay for are in Brea) Perks they have: - KIDS CENTER - I see parents taking their kids here and they have a nice play area. Doesn't apply to me but I know it's important for all the family people out there! - PERSONAL TRAINERS - I met a few that roam the floor and they've helped me out randomly! I love that! Fitness 19 meets my basic needs. I ended up signing up for membership for two months while I was living in Orange. I'd probably sign up again if I lived in Orange again for a longer period of time. One thing I didn't really appreciate - I was charged for an additional month and the issue was never resolved by the staff despite multiple calls. I ended up working it out with my credit card company. That's a pet peeve of mine - don't charge me extra and hope I don't notice. read more

I do not recommend this buisness. I signed up for their $14.99 a month charge. 2 months in they bill me an additional $49.99 for club upkeep as an annual charge. Mind you I have only been a member 2 months. I called them to remove this. They use or rather hide behind a third party for billing issues. Extremely unprofessional group. I canceled my membership and forfeited my annual upkeep. Very slimey maneuver on their part. Beware of this company. read more
