I've been training with Ryan virtually (over Zoom) for a year now. A year ago I could barely lift 5 lbs and was out of breath after 20 jumping jacks. Now I'm training 2x a week doing headstands, raw functional training, muay thai and calisthenic exercises on the parallette bars. I haven't found virtual training to be a drawback at all. Ryan is extremely attentive to your posture when doing any of the exercises and will point out nuances and provide clear, specific feedback to improve your positioning. Sometimes even a millimeter of change that Ryan suggests makes an exercise 1.5x more challenging, but that's when you know that he's watching closely to make sure you're doing the exercise right. Highly recommend Ryan as a trainer for anyone who is looking to stay fit throughout the week but doesn't want a gym commute. Heck, I was training out of the living room for a while before graduating to the garage. The workout programs are challenging but he mixes it up to keep it interesting, and ensure that all of the muscles across your body are worked in a balanced way. read more

First of all, I would like to say RYAN IS AWESOOOME!! I've been training with him for a couple weeks and I am loving how I feel (sore!) and loving the results. I have been out for a month and I am unable to do certain types of workouts, but Ryan is very accommodating. He will focus on certain parts of the body that I would like focused on or do full body workouts that will not affect my limitedness. And let me tell you, I still get sore the next day after working out with him. I looove feeling sore after a workout. It is how I know my workout was effective and Ryan definitely does the job. It has only been 2 weeks (3 days a week) and I feel and see my body getting stronger. Ryan helps with your form, shows you the right way to perform a workout, and corrects you if you need correction. It made my workout more effective and made me feel sore in all the right places to the point where I still felt sore over the weekend (I only worked out with him on the weekdays). If I could give Ryan 7 stars, I would. He definetely deserves it. Sometimes. Kidding! I found Ryan through DNJ Fitness and have been training with him for about 1.5 years. Ryan is very professional and listens to what you want and is determined to help you reach your goal. I have been a smoker for over a decade. Maybe even more. Working out with Ryan has definetely help me cut back on that and also helps me not go home and munch on snacks all night. He really helps you keep being active even when you're not training at his gym. I love the different work outs he lays out for me and it really kicks my butt every week. Ryan is my kickboxing trainer and personal trainer and he is great at both! He started as my kickboxing trainer and I really liked how he motivated and taught kickboxing technique- that was the main reason he became my personal trainer. What makes him truly exceptional is that he understands that not everyone's body works the same way and not everyone wants the same thing. (These two things must be met in my rule book.) Ryan knows when I could push harder, he knows what work outs would benefit me the most, he demonstrates proper form and drills that during our sessions, he asks how I'm eating, etc... I had originally signed up for kick-boxing at DNJ fitness (which is awesome) but was looking for something a little more targeted to my fitness goals. I started training with Ryan a couple of months ago with an introductory training package and liked it so much that I signed up for more sessions. He not only focuses on your target areas, but tries to strengthen and tone you everywhere. I remember saying "Don't "buffen" me up!" Not only do I see the results, but it's nice to know that other people notice them too. With Ryan's help, I am physically stronger and I have more definition everywhere. The best part is that I still have my feminine curves, only they look way better. I'm 34, and I can honestly say that I look way better now than I did in my 20's. Where should I begin?! I love this gym and my trainer is AMAZING. I have been coming here for 5 months now and I can truly say I see results. I've never been overweight but I've had a layer of fat in areas in which I wanted to tone but for some reason just couldn't do it alone. Mind you, I'm a very active outdoor person. I do mountain biking, swimming and running. So when I started to train with Ryan all those workouts just became easier for me. He's helped me with strength and toning. a couple years ago I had lost thirty pounds by really improving my eating habits. I still wasn't super happy because I looked frail and just......skinny (insert naked Mr. Burns photo here). I asked Ryan for help because I had sporadically taken the kickboxing classes and found his training to be fun and engaging. I'm not the type to follow through on practically anything, but I've been going to my personal training sessions for almost two years and I don't think I've missed a week. Ryan keeps the sets interesting and most importantly, I saw results very quickly and this encouraged me to keep going. This is the strongest I've ever been....ever. I've been personal training with Ryan now about two months and I enjoy the workouts. Ryan is there to push you and motivate you. He challenges you because he knows your capable of pushing your body to its limits. He works with you to build you and strengthen you. If you need a personal trainer Ryan is the man to go to! I've been working with him for a couple months and I've noticed so many changes. Ryan listens to your needs and really works with you to make sure you reach your goal. My goal was to gain strength. My first time with Ryan I couldn't do a squat, I couldn't lift weights, and now I'm easily doing those and more. I've always had problems where my knees were extremely weak and Ryan helped get me back on my feet. He helped me strengthen my quads which got rid of my knee pain, and I'm now able to stand over 6 hours on my feet at work without any pain. I've met with other trainers before Ryan and no one showed as much care and passion for what they do the way Ryan does. He's always there to help you and guide you in the right direction.
