I just wanted to update my review, as now I train with both Nick Reese and Viviana. I have been going to this gym on and off since 2019. It has been the best decision I have ever made. No one judges you here and everyone wants to see you reach your best potential. As far as trainers go, they have elite professionals working for the company. I would suggest doing your research, knowing your goals and fining a good match. My first trainer is Nick and he is really good at what he does. His workouts are unique, challenging and I very much love the full body circuit trainings he puts me through! He also will help you with your meal plan and supplement recommendations. I have a second trainer because it was important to me to train with a female who knows our physique. Viviana is the "glute queen" and she really has helped me grow my . Really deserves ZERO stars. Erick Garcia was my trainer. He did not show up several times for our sessions because he slept in, felt sick (but able to show up for the session after me), didn't feel like it. If as a trainer you commit to a 5am session and I show up and you don't there's a problem. He texted me 20min into the sessions he didn't show up for informing me he wasn't going to come. I asked for a refund and he agreed. It's been 2 months and he has decided to keep my money he did not deserve. The owner has done nothing to help the situation. Contract worker or not he has put a bad stain on your company. If you as an owner allow your employees to treat their clients horribly then you're to blame as well. Erick has kept $1900 of my money refuses to pay me back and decided to ghost me. If anyone needs a trainer and goes to self made DO NOT pick Erick Garcia. read more

I've worked with multiple personal trainers in the past, and Mohammad has by far been my favorite. His approach to reaching your fitness goal is custom to you, and he clearly sets his clients up for success. I'm an over analyzer & through hours of lurking on IG & Yelp decided to give Joanna (Jo) a try & I'm so happy that I did. Through trial and error we've figured out a diet that works for me.. this is my favorite part because eating is so big in working out & It's my weak spot but I don't feel hungry & I have learned a lifestyle not a diet . The only reason why I keep coming to this facility is because I absolutely love my trainer! I drive an hour to come see her (I live in Koreatown in Los Angeles). I came in on Tuesday and was absolutely appalled when I went to the restroom and saw 1. No toilet seat covers and 2. Men's Axe body wash as hand soap!!! We are in the middle of a pandemic!!! I am a nurse and to see this I was absolutely horrified. We all share equipment here, the least management could do is provide their clients with proper hand soap and sanitizer around the facility. I pay a lot of money to come to this gym and I'm sure the trainers do as well, so with that being said I kindly ask management to go to the 99 cent store and at least buy dial soap for their restrooms. This facility is great. The trainers/staff are very helpful and inviting. I have been training here with Martha @mad.training_ for a little over a year. She keeps me accountable and motivated. She has done wonders for rehabilitating my bad shoulders and increasing my strength overall. All the equipment is clean and in great working condition. It is always clean and the music is great. I'm making this post on behalf of my sister who was "trained" here by Cristina. Her Instagram is @fittinarielaa and it just saddens me and really disappointed me when she told me about her experience. I was excited when she told me she was going to train here because I went about a year ago and I got the chance to train with Jordan who I believe is the owner and he was just awesome and gave 100% attention to me even with just the hour example workout. She paid $200 for 2x a week for 2weeks, she was going to pay another $200 for the month but ended up not following through due to Cristina not paying attention to her or working out as a REAL fitness coach. Cristina was very unmotivating and seemingly uninterested in working out my sister. As she claims, which I believe, Cristina was just talking with her coworkers throughout the workout time. She left my sister to finish sets by herself not knowing what was next or how many. Supposedly her boyfriend works there and she was talking to him as well during the workouts. My sister would come home literally telling me about the drama at the facility because she just talked so much. I'm not sure why she was treated this way by Cristina, she is a little bit on the bigger side and joined this gym to get healthy again and I just feel like maybe Cristina just didn't take her seriously because of that so she felt it was okay to not give her full attention. Her confidence is already low and this just really did it for her. That's why I'm writing this post because it makes me angry to see my sister feel that way and pay so much more than what she EVER would. I hope the owner is able to see and read this. Because if this is the kind of people that work at this facility it is very disappointing and I'm sure my sister would not recommend it. Now neither will I. read more

BAD BUSINESS CUSTERMERS BEWARE...Came to this place , and payed a trainer by the name byron $1000 for my daughter and I for training twice a week. After being paid we could not even get 1 day a week as he would be taking in new clients stating that he has just been so busy and apologized to us and would be scheduling us. So this post is for my personal trainer Victor Gonzalez He's very motivating and is currently helping me with my weight loss goal. I go 4 days a week and in 2 months I'm down 30 pounds(still going!). He gets results! He goes over what to eat what not to eat. If I ever have questions I always message him no matter what time and he always responds. He's all about his clients and I appreciate that. This review is for Dion, trainer extraordinaire at Self Made. I first messaged him with regards to my BD getting in shape. i'm having a newborn soon and I did not want my BD to be the stereotype of a dad body whos let himself go after being a dad. At first meeting, Dion went straight to business. BD got measurements and all and I was super impressed with how he broke down his plan for him. Being the overachiever, I went for I want him to loose 40lbs. Dion mentioned this was possible & that in due time and trusting the process....results will come. FAST FORWARD 19 days later, 1 sick day & 2 vacation days... BD lost 13lbs & gained muscle. I am not actually there to witness his workouts but OMG even catching a glimpse of it on IG, I am truly impressed. BD even tells me that Dion never gives up on him, he pushes him to finish & even dying at the very last set Dion tells him to keep going... and he does. Our contract with Dion ends in May, but I am hoping that with his business growing, BD & him can bring the workouts to OC or at least halfway. Di, Thank you for this & for making this possible! Self-Made Rancho has started Jiu-Jitsu training and I am truly blessed to be trained under coach Rigo. He has the talent to teach people from all walks of life: fighters, kids, and professionals. He knows how to teach and treat people with the highest patience and respect... I've been training at this gym with Luke M. Since February and honestly I'm very grateful that I chose him as my trainer. He knows exactly what he's doing. All the trainers are super friendly but my friend and I have been training with Jontrel the past few months. LEESA ROCHA is a beast! Each session with her she's always pushing me to the limit! I'm so glad she's my trainer, I had told her my fitness goals and I'm killing them! I have been training with her for about 6 weeks now and let me tell you how much my body has changed within that time frame. Been going to SM Rancho for 2 weeks now. I've been working with Karla Grace and not only is she awesome but the first trainer I came across that would be willing to do 4:30 am classes. The gym here is very clean and well kept. Bathrooms, equipment, floor mats all good. They specialize in personal training and when you sign up with a trainer you can now access the gym 24/7 even when you are not training. JULIE SANTIAGO is by far the best trainer.(biased opinion...everyone is great) In just 4 weeks I am down 15 lbs 5% body fat and have gained muscle mass and definition.. The worksouts are amazing! JULIE is so motivational and informative on movements and posture and they always keep my body guessing so its not just the same ol' thing. She puts great time and a detailed effort into her personalized meal plans(which is the hardest part and Julie makes it so easy for me). I've been active all my life with sports working out lifting weights and transforming my body at my own pace. Wow, I'm so impressed. I'm currently training with Martha, and she has made me feel so incredibly comfortable. I came here from a recommendation, and as someone with anxiety about working out it was very hard for me to decide to kick start something I had wanted to get back into for years. The facility is clean, the people there are respectful -- no one is encroaching on your space, staring, or making you feel uncomfortable -- the vibe is awesome (as is the music, lol!), and they have a great array of equipment. It never has felt crowded. I'm really grateful to have found Martha and Self Made. Martha is attentive, sweet, bubbly, encouraging, and is extremely available if you ever text her.
