This gym is an absolute mess. It's filthy, loud, and feels completely neglected. Nearly every single machine squeaks so badly it sounds like it's about to fall apart--you can hear people's reps from across the entire place. The equipment is outdated and clearly hasn't been maintained in years. The staff are just as disappointing. Instead of doing their jobs, they stand around talking to each other, completely ignoring the condition of the gym and the people paying to be there. There's zero accountability and no sense of professionalism. What makes it worse is how much this place has declined. It used to be open 24 hours and had a kid center--both gone. Those were the only things that made it worth dealing with, and now they've stripped those away without improving anything else. At this point, the only thing keeping this place afloat is the Zumba class, I don't know how they were able to get this talent, but he makes it bearable. And he has to work with faulty equipment, so OUTDATED and the stop working in the middle of a song. Everything else feels like it's falling apart. This place just wants your money , I signed up and was not told or aware that i was in a contract for 1 year , I wanted to cancel my membership and was told I had to pay $99 plus taxes so comes out to $107 to cancel because I was in a contract for a year , (was not told that ) on top of that they told me monthly payments would be 30 and some change and they had my card on autopay got charged double that $66 bad service , would not recommend this gym unless u want money taken out your bank out the blue read more

I love the concept - I used to love the front desk- first the club is not kept clean . Most Important on a Saturday or Sunday they have this disrespectful man and a girl operating the front- 10 minutes before closing they blast the music so loudly (up to full volume) people jsut leave . It is not a healthy volume for any aged ears nor is it respectful. I have been at their other locations and this DOES NOT occur. I asked the manager at the other locations if it was the policy of FC and he said "NO". I have complaint and was told by the very rude guy at the desk its company policy " go ahead and call corporate" he claimed people have to hear the annoucements. BULL. You can not even hear them speak over the volume- One Saturday I watched this man and the girl leave at 7:02. Clearly they want to get out ASAP. Rude and Unprofessional Behavior** I had a terrible experience with Finess Connection's customer service. I spoke with a call center employee named Ms. Tori, who was extremely rude and unprofessional. Instead of listening to my concern, she **interrupted me, misbehaved, and abruptly cut the line** without resolving my issue. Extremely DISSATISFIED with #fitnessconnection. I've been a member since 2015. No problem but, once I finally decided to purchase personal training. Around 2019 even though I felt it would be a terrible decision. But company had this deal which was obviously too good to be true. It seem pretty easy. I signed up for a contract for PT for a year. Unfortunately this was Right when Covid hit. So the gyms were shut down my membership was frozen. While fighting Covid I had a cancer scare and fought the following year. Fast forward January 2021! Called fitness connection customer service to check on my PT sessions again I was told my sessions were in good standing. I could just go to any location and speak to a personal trainer. Sadly due to health restrictions after looking at the location. I was skeptical because Covid was still pretty fresh. I'm immune compromised now. I had just been released from the hospital for having 20 blood platelets. I literally fought for my life so trying to get fit in a facility like that would put my health at risk. I ask the customer service representative Jessica if I could freeze my sessions again til Covid dissipated. I asked would the sessions expire she told me no all I had to do was call and get them activated once I felt safe the cleaning protocol was being taken seriously in the gym. I was a gym flower so fitness connection didn't look classy like most gyms I was used to. #24hourfitness and I also worked for #LAfitness. Those gyms are up to par completely corporate wise and also having a basic level of good customer satisfactory. I paid 609$ a month for 15 session in 2019 but the contract was canceled due to Covid. The gym also canceled its pt partnership with #Paramountfitness. Which left my account floating in the wind. I just wanted to use my sessions or be refunded. This company is trying to make me pay an additional 300$ for sessions I've never used. IT MAKES NO SENSE! I FEEL VERY MISTREATED MISHANDLED, DISRESPECTED, and DISGAREDED. This process is giving me MENTAL ANXIETY AND IT SUCKS. In such hard times I still tried to work with them, Sadly nothing is resolved. Beware Don't get the Training it's completely stressful. I have been bamboozled by fitness connection three times now I will be canceling my membership. I will be filing a complaint every day that I can type until the situation is resolved and have yet to get a session set or even a clear reason as to why my account is so messed up. This is the up-teenth time that we have shown up for a workout on a Sunday @ 0700, 0745 and 0830, and the Club is closed. There is plenty of staff just hanging (Congregated) during the entire week. They are not walking around the club checking on things as they should be. There should be at least two staff members assigned to be present on Sunday's to be a back-up just in case one can not show up to open the Club! We returned three times today the 25th of February, 2024. We should be getting compensated for at least one month for the lack of staff availability! read more

The equipment is good. I've been going here for about two weeks but the staff, with the exception of one or two, are less than desirable. Every time I needed help at the counter, they were either too busy talking to each other to help or just looked at you like you had something growing out the side of the neck. The staff is young but that's no exception for good customer care. Overall if you need somewhere to work out with a good environment then fitness connection works, but make sure you don't need anything from the staff cause you'll be waiting for a while. read more

Beware of their monthly membership charges. My wife was being charged $13.53 per month on our credit card, and I was being charged $10.83 per month from our checking account. Why they used our credit card for my wife's account is beyond me. We caught the discrepancy and have been told my wife's monthly charge has now been corrected and will be the same as mine. However, they refused to refund the $2.70/month overcharge for the last nine months. Hopefully they will lose many new prospective customers over the paltry $24.30 they have overcharged us, since it is obvious they are not a reputable company to do business with, in my opinion. read more

The staff is rude and inconsistent, especially the short Hispanic female . My husband and I will NOT being working out here . We worked out at another location and wanted to try Lewisville so the first time we came in scanned our badges no problem . Second time we came a male staff told us we had to each pay a one time fee to work out at other locations and told us we could pay after our workout ......ok. After we finished our workout we went to the desk to pay our one time fee and was told by a very rude Hispanic female staff that they no longer offered that and we had to each pay an extra $10 a month to work out there . As we were explaining that the other staff told us differently she walked off on us . We were extremely irate to say the least . I have been to this gym forever! It is just so frustrating when you keep getting weird charges! I had $10 charge and I called to ask what that was and no one knows! Then I called 800 number and they completely SUCK! They wasted 30 min explaining how that was returned fee. I had lost my card so I went physically to the gym to change my card and they told me if there will be any late fees, they would waive it! nope! Don't promise things you can't do. A heads up for people interested in this gym, I have mailed letters in twice trying to cancel my membership. This process began 2 years ago and they have been charging me still claiming to never have received anything. So while I would highly recommend you look for another gym in the area, if you go here make sure you keep record of the address you used to sign up with, your member ID number, and if you get active duty orders begin your cancellation process with them immediately. They now recommend you mail a letter via certified mail for cancellation and I can't agree more because this process will take forever. I honestly think this gym is decent for what you pay for. They have plenty of cardio equipment- treadmills, ellipticals, rowers, bikes- and a solid weight lifting area (though you might have to wait a few mins during peak hours, which is expected). I really enjoy the womens area, as it allows me to have a bit more privacy as I'm figuring out new workouts. Overall, this price is honestly kind of unbeatable for what you get. Yes, some of the machines could be fixed/improved, but again, you get what you pay for. (The staff is also fairly nice, and they do a good job of keeping the gym floor clean) read more

I'm not gonna lie I felt a little disrespected when I was here. First of all, I don't come to this location that often; I was only here because I was temporarily in the area. A staff member from UBF, Skyler, decided to approach and schedule a session with me. The next day, after the workout session, as part of her job, she tries to get me to sign up with UBF. However, the #1 problem for me was how I was extremely broke. I couldn't even afford the deposit. Skyler: "how much do you want to reach your goals on a scale of 1 to 10?" Me: "10 out 10!" Skyler: "well it sounds like you're not since you're not signing up." Who are you to tell me how much I want and willing to do something? I'm financially struggling, and because I'm not signing up, I don't have the willingness or ambition? She has visited them in person, sent the appropriate emails, and contacted them on their so called 'customer help line'. She has complied with every instruction and still they continue to withdraw monthly from our AE account. This gym is good when everything is working, but they need a new sauna machine. People have ruined the old one because they pour water on it. They really need to maintain the machines. All the seats on the leg machines are cutting my legs up because the seats have all split open. I'm not throwing shade at this gym, but it needs some serious loving. I have been training at Fitness Connection Lewisville before it was Fitness Connection Lewisville...when it was World's gym. I really loved seeing Corey at the front desk in the mornings. He gives exceptional service. Tonight, I was hangry after training. I delayed my post-workout meal because I had to drive back to the gym to get my blender bottle. What was so simple became an excuse to not follow through and be lazy and dishonest. I left my blender bottle on the stairmaster and once I came home I figured out it wasn't in my duffle bag. I called the front desk and asked them if they could please get my gray blender bottle from the stairmaster. The girl at the front desk (Talia) stated that she was the only person at the front desk and said, "I am not going to get your blender bottle because I'm the only one in the front." she then stated, "we have a lot of gray blender bottles and you can come back tomorrow and give them details about which one is yours." So....I drive all the way back to the gym. Once I open the door, there are TWO people at the front....so she LIED. Something so simple as going to the stairmaster and getting my blender bottle and giving it tomorrow would have prevented me from coming back to the gym. SO, she was DISHONEST by saying she was only one at the front...and she was LAZY to not go to the stairmaster and just get the blender bottle. The blender bottle didn't bother me. The problem was the DISHONESTY and the LAZINESS that made me go back for another trip that wasn't necessary in the first place. read more

I have memberships at over 3 gyms. I can tell you that the staff here is by far the rudest and the most unprofessional. Starting at the top with Curtis who is like the 5th manager they've had. Just as the other post say He was very rude and very angry, I guess its his revenue numbers. He took the side of his employee that was rude and he wasn't present for the beginning of the conversation where his subordinate was being unprofessional. As soon as I walked off another member comes up to me asked if the front desk guy had been rude to me because he was also rude to her. I can see why they have 2.9 rating. This gym has everything I need, the staff is nice & the prices are great. Unfortunately it's the best place in Lewisville to phone surf apparently. People come in to sit on exercise machines & play on their phones. Rude. I want to come in, work out & leave. Not sit on a machine 30 minutes playing on my phone. Or wait 30 minutes for someone to finish with their phone. Or have to ask people "Are you finished with that?" On the Fitness Connection website there is a "Workout Floor Policies" & they should add "Put away your phone if you're using an exercise machine." And put a sign at the front door stating the same. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES GIVE FITNESS CONNECTION YOUR INFORMATION. Fitness Connection uses Jonas Fitness for it's billing and this company will indiscriminately create fictitious accounts without your knowledge and then send those accounts to collections. I received a phone call two weeks ago (and now am being harassed DAILY) by a collection agency for an account I never created. My credit is being actively negatively impacted. The customer support staff at Jonas Fitness lied to me when I called and said I would hear back in 48 hours after sending them a picture of my ID and three signatures. Apparently a random supervisor will look at my signatures and then look at the "contract" to determine if I signed it. I sent three emails over the course of five business days (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) and didn't get so much as an acknowledgement they were received. I called again on Monday, April 23rd and was told they "hadn't heard back from corporate yet" and they had no idea when they would hear back again touting the 48 hours line. Do not engage this company at all. Edit: re: the comment below - I have called various people at both Fitness Connection and Jonas Fitness 10+ times over the past ~3 weeks and no one has done anything helpful. Until Fitness Connection (corporate) changes its unethical policies, it will continue to have terrible reviews and ratings. I've had 2 horrible experiences: 1) Late fees and penalties on top of late fees: If your credit card company updates your credit card (in my case, because I got mugged, had my wallet stolen, and had to have every card replaced), Fitness Connection will not notify you that your automated monthly payments aren't being made. Instead--months later or whenever you realize it yourself--you'll find that you've been billed $20 to $30/mo in late fees and penalties. There's no mercy, and if you want to cancel your account you won't be allowed to until you've paid the fees and penalties in full. Imagine how many people have slowly stopped going to the gym, forgotten to cancel their account (or been unwilling to admit they're not working out anymore, and kept it live), had credit card info change over time, and then when they finally decided to cancel found that they owe $100 - $500 in penalties and late fees, but were never notified. 2) Cancellation: Unless you're willing to dedicate more than an hour to cancel your membership in order to save $10 - $20/mo by canceling your membership, you cannot cancel your membership. So time and time again you try calling to cancel, but whether you're caller #52 in the cue or caller #31, when you realize how long the call is going to take, you give up and try calling later...only to find you're stuck. I would guess the company makes the majority of its revenue by members who don't come to the gym but have either forgotten about their monthly fees because the fees are relatively small and billed automatically, or because it's so difficult to cancel that most give up and tell themselves that even if they just go to the gym once or twice a month, the fees are worth it. But of course they don't. So the company keeps making money from countless people every month simply by making it prohibitively difficult to cancel. read more

Understand that this is there business model, collect money from members who do not attend and make it difficult to cancel.
