Looking for a healthy lunch alternative, I found Fitness Grill on Yelp with many positive reviews. The store is located in a large shopping center in Randolph with plenty of parking. The woman behind the counter was very helpful and detailed how everything was freshly made. I chose the Vegetable Whole Wheat Wrap which included a side. The wrap was made while I waited, along with the baked sweet potato fries. The lunch was delicious! There are tables for dine in, I brought mine home. Serendipity... I was shopping yesterday at the local Shop-Rite when I had a friendly conversation with Rudy, the owner of this little restaurant. We chatted about food, service, quality and healthy dining. I was intrigued and promised I would visit to see what the eatery had to offer. I popped in for lunch today as promised and I'm so happy I did. Their salad offerings blew me away . Rudy explained that every dish is made fresh when ordered and when I tucked into my shrimp salad, everything clicked. The warm, grilled shrimp had that "snap" that only fresh shrimp can deliver. The greens were served cold as they should and, like the shrimp, were crispy and fresh. The tomatoes, often an after thought at some eateries, were red, fresh, ripe and juicy. A salad I'll return to again. My wife, a vegetarian, ordered the vegi wrap with rice and although she is a fussy eater, pronounced the wrap "yummy" and even said she would love to have another soon. Made me a hero! Overall, a chance encounter with the owner has resulted in a wonderful new find. I'll visit often and try lots of the salads ... I got the wheat penne pasta and the turkey meatballs. The pasta was terrible. It tasted like I was eating spoonfuls of salt. The turkey meatballs were ok but they were $3 each, rather small, and not great. To top it off, the menu did not say it came with cheese and I am lactose intolerant. Came in for lunch and ordered grilled chicken avocado in a spinach wrap, and a side of avocado mango. The green mango was crunchy, lightly covered in avocado-- a new taste for me I really liked. The wrap was wet enough (I hate dry wraps), the dressing a very subtle vinaigrette, I think; very subtle, meaning it was made with great care. The chicken -- the whole sandwich was utterly delicious. I have never enjoyed turkey bacon so much. Friendly service, nice atmosphere. A thoroughly enjoyable lunch. I'll come back; highly recommended. read more

I just discovered this place today and highly recommend it! Rudina (not sure of the spelling), the owner, is delightful and made me a delicious cup of maple coffee with almond milk. She offers lots of gluten free options (a BIG deal for someone with Celiac Disease) and my breakfast was delicious (cheese, mushroom, and onion omelette wrap with a side of fruit salad). Now that I know about this place, I will be making it my "office" at least once a week. My father has been going here for lunch for four years now. I've recently started going with him, and I can easily say this is one of my favorite places to eat. Today I ordered a spinach and avocado eggwhite omelette with a side of fruit. The food is consistently excellent and the fruit is the freshest I've ever had from a restaurant. Ever. The owner Massimo is so friendly, he makes you feel like you're eating a home-cooked meal in his kitchen. The menu is extensive and has so many healthy options as well. The service is always hit or miss but the food is great. I Just ordered the Steak and Mushroom wrap and OMG, it was amazing. Pretty good deal too-- for less than $10.00 you get a wrap plus a side. Their sides are great too; the avocado-mango salad is a favorite of mine. I had the sweet potato fries this time and they were good too. Just wish they would hire friendlier people to work there. "It's on its way" Guy pulls in at 8:01. Fine, whatever. 15 minutes late. Took almost an hour and a half from when I ordered on chow now. I open up my shrimp salad.... 4 shrimp and 3 tails- yes- tails- no meat attached to it. Then it's just a little bit of cucumber, a few green beans and like 3 sliced cherry tomatoes. Imagine my delight finding a restaurant that delivered healthy, clean food options to my hotel while traveling on business! I was able to not only get my favorite dinner of grilled chicken breast with sweet potato and steamed broccoli, they also were able to deliver two protein bars, a sugar free redbull and a serving of protein powder in a bag for me to use for breakfast the next morning. You could tell the food was prepared without any butter or oil or unnecessary salt. It was served with a side of lemon and lime for added flavor without the sodium. My only complaint that cost a star was the chicken was pretty overcooked and the broccoli was kind of undercooked. Will it stop me from eating there probably ever day for the rest of my trip? No way. They just opened a few weeks ago in the LA Fitness / K Mart shopping Plaza on Rt 10 in Randolph. I had heard that it was good and I agree. It caters to folks looking to eat healthy but want well made and fresh food. It has probably 10 tables and you order at the counter. There are salads, sandwiches, wraps and 5-6 hot dishes. They also serve breakfast. Very friendly and accommodating. I had the chicken wrap with avocado, turkey bacon, onions, tomatoes and fresh lettuce. It comes with a choice of one side. I had the avocado and mango salad. The wrap and the salad were delicious. . They also sell all the different kinds of muscle builder drinks and smoothies. I will be making this a regular lunch stop. read more

I'm not going to lie...the food at fitness girl is pretty bomb but you're lucky if they have it available. They're always running out of their menu items. It takes them an eternity to delivery (on average 1.5hrs) and there's a 50/50 chance that something from your order will be missing. BUT the food is so good and so guilt free I keep ordering. The staff is actually pretty nice and have been accommodating every time there's an incident but....there are a lot of incidents! 3 stars for the awesome food, -2 for the constant inconvenience. read more

It took 1 1/4 hours to be delivered. When it finally arrived, the food was completely cold but I was so hungry I took a big bite. That's when I noticed the chicken looked a bit pink-- too pink for my comfort. The sweet potato fries were mush and I couldn't eat more than two. I ended up eating the bread because I was so hungry and had to make a meal after... I never ever call to complain but I had to for this one.. Still haven't heard back though. My mom and I went here one day after somebody had recommended this place to us. I got the steak and mushrooms wrap, and she got a veggie wrap, which the menu says has eggplant, zucchini, and spinach. After waiting 30 minutes (even though we were the only customers there), my order came out fine and tasty, but mom's wrap contained only the zucchini and nothing else! It turns out that they were out of the other two ingredients, and the one cook working here decided to not tell us this very important piece of information. He figured it'd be better to improvise with the ingredients, rather than ask us if we could order something else! What would ultimately make this place better is to: 1) Hire another cook to decrease the wait time. 2) If there's not enough ingredients to make something on the menu, don't make a subpar version of it as a replacement. I found The Fitness Grill very different from what our friend claimed it to be. It was a letdown, at best! read more

I ordered a salmon salad and there was one tiny piece of salmon that was so overcooked and burnt that it was inedible. So I basically ended up with a bunch of spinach. Blue Titan fitness in Rockaway always talked about this place so i decided to give it a go. I went at 10am for some breakfast. Walked in and the man (i believe to be the owner) was at the counter with the chef in the back. I looked at the menu which is informative....to someone that maybe eats really healthy and is familiar with what was being offered. Im clueless. Not sure he noticed the huge question mark over my head. Decided to spring for the protein pancakes with blueberries. Simple enough and only 550 calories. Took about 25 minutes to get out to me. I love the idea of the menu but sometimes not the execution. Items I love like the avo mango salsa and FG burrito are made so differently each time and always so darn bland! If a bit of careful seasoning was applied even slightly plus attention to ripeness of fruits and veg no matter what, I'd gladly give it s five star...I've had polite service after a rough start and they usually get my order correct with things changed and omitted for allergies...but the delivery can be long and Burrito gets dry along with no longer being warm if it was...a foil wrap might help? I hope it stays open to keep improving. I'd love to try a smoothie but for $6 I think I did long ago and it was also soooo bland I have not bothered. Nice that they have sides of items like meat and veg alone...super good price $2/3 on side sweet/potatoes or broccoli! Yum! I always forget to use the $2-? Off coupons that they offer on the menu and elsewhere...it's not asked so it's hard when one busy cook is rushing you off the phone to recall bringing up a coupon...easier to order online if any apps deliver it! read more

My absolute favorite "healthier" food spot. I have FG at least twice a week! It a great spot to go after a workout or if you are trying to eat better in general. I have never had a bad experience eating here. I mostly always have it deliberated because it takes a little long when dining in. The owner is a great guy and the staff is nice. I love the Fitness Grill!!!!! I was so happy when they opened up! The menu offers a good variety of healthy eating options. They also offer very good smoothies. I have eaten in, ordered out, and I often get delivery at home. Overall, here are my thoughts: Their smoothies are very good. I highly recommend the strawberry banana :) One of my favorite meals is the grilled salmon. It is DELICIOUS, albeit a tad bit on the dry side- they could work on getting it to be not quite as overcooked. Even so- overcooked, I still love it! I usually order it with a side of steamed broccoli and brown rice. It is the perfect meal! I also love the grilled chicken avocado wrap. It's just perfect!!! A word of advice- if you order this for home or office delivery, DON'T order the side of sweet potato fries. They just don't make the trip and always end up arriving soggy and cold. If you're at home, you can easily stick them in the oven for a few minutes i suppose, but still....I think they just don't last long because they are put in a plastic container and the heat from them steams them basically- making them soggy. So if you do at home deliver, I would order a cold side option like the pasta salad, which is very good. I also LOVE LOVE LOVE their Strawberry salad. It is perfection!!!!! Goat cheese, walnuts, blueberries and strawberries with grilled chicken. It's amazing!!!!! Overall, despite it's faults, I still love this place. I eat here several times per week and I look forward to it. I also hope they expand and change their menu up from time to time....maybe offer weekly specials or something. That would be awesome.
