I am always greeted with smiles and encouragement and there are so many classes and fitness props to choose from that you can never get bored with the same routine, there are a plentitude of options everyday to keep everyone motivated and to help all of us to reach our goals! I say "us" rather than "me" because Pulse Gym is a team of members working together towards the same goal, to become the best that we can be while encouraging each other along the way to ultimate fitness! "Uniqueness" because this gym is very special due to the many services offered outside of fitness. I can workout, relax with a sauna, take a shower followed by a cup of tea or coffee then go to the hair/makeup salon and if needed, get a spray tan. Once finished with all the options available I can then change into a pretty dress and Ta-Dah! I'm all ready to return to work or to go out on the town for the evening :) Oh, and if you have children the child care gym is off the chart in being AWESOME! The owners are on the cutting edge of the industry in knowing how to combine the perfect place to get it all done with professionalism and class all without stress :) "Cleanliness" is the most important factor to me in choosing a gym and Pulse Gym and Studios surpasses all my expectations! Only during my final week did an employee bother to introduce themselves and ask my name. When I finally decided to leave for another gym, it took me a week to find an employee behind the desk to process my cancelation. Typically, you find desk employees working out with patrons rather than assisting customers. After cancelling my membership, I was charged for an additional month. When I asked to be refunded as I would not be returning, I was denied. I would not recommend BTF at at all. If you're looking for a smaller, family owned gym, Peak Fitness is far better.

When he finished his workout, the owner asked the gentleman's permission to call his daughter, then escorted him out. He did this respectfully and in a caring manner. When one of the other patrons mentioned it, the owner talked about the gentleman with as much respect and care as he'd demonstrated earlier. My husband and I recently moved back to the east coast and I used to do barre routinely in California and Hawaii. After a lull in working out, we were honestly dreading getting back to class as we knew we were super out of shape. The ladies (and one guy!) there however were friendly and helpful, and we didnt feel judged or looked down on because we were definitely at the bottom of the class in terms of fitness. I love the upbeat music, passionate instructors, and inventive routines to mix cardio, low impact isometrics, and weights while having fun. Even after just 5 classes, I've noticed a huge improvement in my tone and my strength. Getting back to barre has made me think more about my hydration, nutrition, and other healthy habits, and has been a needed reset in my self-care routine. I love that they have free classes for guys on fridays, margaritas after class once a week, and a motivating barre countdown for people who routinely attend. I did received one call back from Caroline and after an exchange of information and FOB number, she said I was "all set". The next day I tried the FOB to gain entry, and it did not work. I texted Caroline back and we agreed on an appt with Gabe at 1015a the next day. I showed on time and Gabe was not there. I again texted Caroline and set up a 1100a appt. Gabe is a no show again. Frankly, don't know how the expect to remain in business. My advice is don't waste your time and money with AF Newport.
