I found Fitpals through Yelp and so far have been so pleased with their service. Prior to the first walk, both Janriel and Alexandra stopped by to evaluate my goldendoodle, Oliver. Janriel asked a few questions and took note of important things, like when I told him to make sure Oliver avoids dog poop. (Really gross but he used to snack on poop. Thank god he outgrew the disgusting habit!) Alexandra became Oliver's primary walker and he absolutely adores her. She tires him out by running with him when his puppy energy kicks in and takes plenty of cute pictures around the neighborhood. Fitpals uses an app that gives a detailed report of the walk, describing how many times he went potty and a GPS map of the walk. I always look forward to reading the reports when I'm at work. We have since moved out of DTLA but am crossing fingers that Alexandra can still come by to walk Oliver every now and then. read more

Fitpals is the first dog walking service I've used and they have been amazing! Janriel and Alexandra really care about the dogs they walk. I was a little nervous about having strangers enter our apartment, but after our first meet and greet I felt completely comfortable with them! Alexandra is Mochi's primary walker and she's so responsive and flexible with scheduling. She has definitely helped our pup learn how to walk on a leash without excessively pulling. Additionally, she was able to introduce him to the doggy boots we bought! Prior to that, Alexandra was willing to wipe his paws before going back inside. I love FitPals and am so glad they opened their business in DTLA! I was always skeptical of using the commercial dog walking apps because of the inability to choose your walker. I have a puppy doberman whos energy is not for the faint of heart. When I saw Janriel at the park handling two large german shepherds, I was shocked when he said he was their walker, not owner. He knew exactly when and how to respond to the dogs behavior, like a trainer! When Janriel told me he was starting his own walking service, I was ecstatic! Janriel is trustworthy, reliable, and caring. He goes out of his way to ask if my puppy needs any extra care (medicine, food, cleaning his bandage etc) every time they go for a walk together. Fit Pals offers a great dog walking service. Janriel has been walking my puppy for a few months now. I work intense hours during the week so I employ fit pals a couple of days out of the week to walk my pup to keep him exercised. He also works with other dogs so he's able to be socialized as well and good and tired by the time I get home. Janriel also introduced me to the gentle leader and really cool and comfortable doggy shoes. My pup walks so much better now since we've been using fit pals. They love dogs, they know what they are doing and they really care about their clients. I had a very bad experience with a trainer who kept my dog for training for lmost a month and charged me a fortune but even after that, my dog was still pulling me like a horse when I was trying to walk her! I came across the fitpals in my residential building since they have a few clients there and after the meet and greet session they started to take my dog for walks everyday, I noticed the result of their work in less than a week. After each walk, they send a report that includes how long and how many miles the dog walked, i can see the rout on the map, how the dog behaved, if the dog peed or pooped and how many times, which dogs were accompanied her, more importantly, they attach a few beautiful picture of my dog with the redt of the pack. Not only they help me train my dog, but also if I have any questions or need a service for my dog, they are always available to help me out.
