She gets to spend the day playing with her dog friends, burns off all that puppy energy, and comes home happy, relaxed, and exhausted. One of my favorite things is the care the staff puts into every dog. They provide fun enrichment activities throughout the day and send frequent updates with photos, which gives me so much peace of mind and always makes my day. The entire team is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to answer questions or accommodate requests. It's obvious they genuinely care about the dogs in their care. MASSIVE shoutouts to the staff! They are nothing but awesome and sweet! I feel like I'm dropping my lil baby best friend to my fave niece or nephew who loves him just as much. Every dog is different.. but I wholeheartedly recommend this place so much. My dog hates daycares and have always been dramatic to going to different ones. There's a couple he likes a lot. But this is the only one he willingly leaves me at. I love that it's near lots of cute places and because my dog is not the best behaved, I like depositing him here while I get a bite or run errands! I dislike the hit or miss parking.. and the crew sometimes are tied up - which I can understand. But aside from the hours on the weekend, those are the only "bummer" thoughts for me. read more

Our small dog (20lb) was at dog drop and attacked/bitten by a medium size dog (50-60 lb). They did not contact us right away and we only found out when we went to pick her up. We rushed her to the vet where she had to go under anesthesia for repair of 4 puncture wounds. The staff stated this occurred during "shift change" and no one would tell us what happened. We are disappointed by lack of communication, urgency, and the fact that there is no supervision and our dog has paid the price. Multiple vet visits, wearing a cone for 2 weeks, and PTSD for us and our little girl. I would definitely think twice before sending your dog (child) here. read more

So very happy with DogDrop in DTLA. I recently adopted a very nervous little puppy. She's quickly gone from tucked tail and scared to go in...to running to the door with a happy wag, and refusing to walk by on a regular walk without stopping to see if someone will come say hi. This is the best daycare ever. The staff is soo attentive to the dogs and their needs and super communicative about what's happening there each day I drop my dog off. And my dog loves going, too -- whenever I tell her she's going to daycare, she wags her tail and gets really excited to leave they also plan a lot of cute activities for the dogs, like spa nights, agility course days, photo shoots, and even arts and crafts that we get to keep after (my friends love seeing my dogs art hung up on my fridge ). Dogdrop is the best place in LA where you can drop off your dog (for me, my child) and not worry AT ALL. I know our girl's always being taken good care of. The staff is so knowledgeable and communicative. They don't judge me when I'm like "is she happy, is she okay" lol. Our girl Marlowe is very energetic but is not super into play with other dogs, but she's starting to really come out of her shell. They're super patient and attentive, and I think she's gotten so much better because of the socialization and stimulation she gets there. I also appreciate their thoroughness with our pup's health. They're consistent about making sure all dogs are up to date on their vaccines which is just the cherry on top. I saw my Luna go from hesitating at the door to being eager to get out of my car for drop-off. I appreciated the 1-week trial because it allowed for some important adjusting. Love that the process holds true to the name; I literally drop her off at any time - don't even need to tell them who Luna and I are. But most importantly, when she comes back, she knocks out! It takes a lot of activity for my Weimaraner pup to feel the need to take a nap and this space helps provide her with that play time she craves. I also appreciate the text updates. I've been bringing my dog, Nala here for almost a year. I work from home and for most of that year we lived in a pretty small apartment so daycare was a must for Nala to get good exercise and socialize a bit. The 1 week free trial of daycare has helped our puppy move from scardy dog to a confident playmate. Now Katsu thrives in social situations! I did a lot of research before deciding to try out Dogdrop and I'm so happy with my choice! We started bringing our Frenchie Iroh in as soon as he was fully vaccinated to help get him socialized/help get his puppy energy out of him and Dogdrop has done just that! I'll have to admit that sometimes I drop him off for an hour or 2 during the day even when I'm home just so I can have a more tired puppy when I'm trying to relax at night :) In addition to the great care Iroh has while he's there, the process is super seemless. It is quite literally, a dog drop. We walk in, say "Iroh's here!", and they happily repeat that in their own way to their fellow Droperators and everyone gets excited and they immediately take him back and I'm literally in and out in less than 30 seconds. The pick up can take more time just because Iroh can be a tough one to catch when he's in play mode haha A few more things to note: I love the flexibility of their pricing packages, and they were very competetive with other doggy daycares in the area, and for the most part were cheaper, but the quality of care is the same if not better! They are also open later than other facilities in the area which is AMAZING since I do oftentimes need to drop him off at night when I'm coaching at my gym. read more

Giving this a 3 star bc I've been coming to this place for a while on and off and as much as my dog is not in distress there, they feed him here , and he does seem to be hydrated upon pick up, -1 star because the business is always changing their hours and fees and their website does not match their current info like ever so I am constantly surprised with the sudden changes and it's a major eye roll. When I first joined it was $40 per day/$10 per hour and now it's $60 per day/$12 per hour. They use to be open till 10pm even on the weekends and even tho their google/Apple Maps info says they are open till 9pm, that may or may not be the case. You'll have to call/text to get the hours and rates because they are not consistent on that at all. -1 star (it should really be minus 2 stars bc this is a doggy daycare and this isn't proper care for animals but I've been coming here for years so I'm leaving a star there for the years my animal was properly cared for) because I'm also not really all that happy that they they put the ALL small dogs in a tiny hallway when there aren't that many dogs instead of the second room they have with an attendant where they can roam a lot more freely and not feel so enclosed. The hall way is about 2.5 feet by 8feet btw and there were like 5 dogs there smh. Are we not paying so that the dogs play and relieve their pent up energy? It's totally not fair that the little more chill dogs have to stay in that tiny hallway while the big/hyper dogs get the big room. That is not cool! The second room was always for little/ chill dogs and 1-2 attendants. What on earth happened to this place? I use to love coming here and now not so sure about this place anymore. For being the most expensive daycare in DTLA, I really hope this place can provide much better care in the future. The care standards have dropped and it's very sad to experience. TL;DR - My one 1/2-year-old dog, Loki, and I love Dogdrop because of its friendly, knowledgeable staff and flexible drop-off hours. I was initially hesitant because we had previously scoped out a not-so-friendly business where the staff didn't interact with the dogs much. It was my first time sending Loki to daycare, so I needed a place where the team was hands-on and able to tend to his severe separation anxiety. So, we wandered into Dogdrop with no expectations and left with excitement after the beautiful experience. Their team was very patient with me and answered all of my questions regarding daycare and dog training. Speaking of their team, everyone who works here is super friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about dogs. I can see how much they care about Loki and how much effort they put into interacting with him. I feel at ease leaving him here because they text me updates throughout the day and are always quick to respond when I'm checking in. I love that I can drop Loki off whenever I need to without making an appointment - so helpful if I need to run last-minute errands. There's no time minimum, so I can drop him off even just for an hour if I need to. If I could give Dogdrop AD 10 stars, I would. They take such good care of our boy Philly. Everyone who works there genuinely seem to love their job and love the pups who come in. The Dogdrop humans have a blast making sure the dogs are also having the time of their lives! They have spa nights and movie nights for the dogs (are you kidding me). They also made little paw clay ornaments and did free holiday photo sessions! We initially signed up for the $150/month membership which gave us 3 full days of daycare but quickly switched over to the unlimited membership. I really like that the pricing is $10/hour but it caps out at $50. So if your dog stays more than 5 hrs, it's a flat rate of $50 even if they stay the full 11 hrs! Philly loves his time there and comes home happy and fulfilled. Lastly, but most important, I trust them. I love that they are upfront about their philosophy of positive redirection. I work extremely hard to train Philly with force free methods and positive reinforcement and I feel confident that my pup feels safe with all the folks at Dogdrop! read more

I started taking my Yorkie mix to Dogdrop when he was 5 months old, he is almost 8 months now and he has been loving Dogdrop! He scratches and whines at the door trying desperately to get inside. I love that he is excited to go there, you know they are treating him well. The workers there are extremely friendly, whenever we walk through the door, they greet us with enthusiasm. When I pick him up at the end of the day they let me know how he is doing. Also, the workers will text me to let me know if he ate his lunch and dinner. I feel like our dog is more behaved since I've taken him to Dogdrop. He actually listens when I tell him to stay, he never used to do that. And he actually comes when I call him. When he was younger our dog never slept through the night, he woke up every day at 1am like clock work, except the days I took him to dogdrop. Basically, I love Dogdrop I highly recommend taking your dog here. Randomly on a Sunday I'll take our dog to a different daycare since dogdrop is closed and I see the difference between daycares. The other daycare never says how he's doing, and never tells me whether he ate his meals. Also, after a day at the other day care, he is soooo thirsty, I'm starting to wonder if they have water bowls out. Our dog is never thirsty after Dogdrop, he usually just falls asleep 10 minutes after we get home. read more

This is customer service at its finest. While local, we are visiting the area due to the fires and being evacuated. We didn't want our dog to be in the hotel room all day so we decided to try this place out. From the moment I contacted them they were so accommodating and helpful. My dog was nervous when we first dropped him off but when I picked him up they said no charge because we had been evacuated. It was like that for the days we kept coming. They even fed my dog because we left so quickly we didn't grab his food. These people are angels. My dog Otis ended up feeling so comfortable there and just walked right in. Anytime I say the word "Dogdrop" in the morning my dog gets so excited and runs to the door. When I put her leash on she literally drags me to the car. This should say everything you need to know about this lovely daycare in the downtown Arts District. All of the dog droperators are the loveliest people who scream out my dog, Chingu's name every time she enters the front door -- much like the cast of "Cheers" yells out "NORM!" when he enters the bar. They are in constant communication with me, with updates on how my dog is doing throughout the day, whether or not she ate her breakfast, and occasionally they text me photo updates. They have a great Instagram account and actively post stories where you can see updates of your dog as well. There is a genuine concern you can see the workers have at this daycare for your pup. If they see any issues or small reasons for concern, they will alert you to it. But most importantly, my dog has the best time every time she goes there, and I know she is so loved by everyone there.
