Lifetime Folsom is not a gym... it's a full-blown civilization…read more Met a friend here for a workout, and since she's not a member, we had to do the whole guest pass process first. You know... the "tap here, sign here, acknowledge that squats may humble you today" routine. But I've got to give credit where it's due -- the front desk made it ridiculously easy. They were handling a phone call and getting my friend squared away at the same time, and somehow still made it all look smooth. No chaos, no confusion, no "uhhh let me get my manager." Just straight-up professionalism. The second we walked in, she looked around and said, "Is this a city or a gym?" I said, "Honestly... both." Because Lifetime Folsom is not for the weak or the directionally challenged. This place has everything. Pool, spa, cafe, workout floors, recovery zones, pickleball, tennis, locker rooms that feel fancier than some apartments... at one point I'm pretty sure if you turn the wrong corner you accidentally enroll in a wellness retreat. And my favorite part? The confidence people have before a workout. She came out of the locker room with that movie trailer energy like, "Alright, let's do this." Looking at me like, "Bring it." And I did. I coached her through the workout, and for the first 20 minutes she was hanging in there strong. Then somewhere around that 1 hour and 30 minute mark, the spirit left the body. By the end, the look had changed from "I got this" to "I would like to formally unsubscribe." And honestly? Respect. Because the workout was solid. We laughed the whole time, had great conversation, and got after it. That's what I love about Lifetime -- whether you're going hard or just trying to survive the stair climber without seeing your ancestors, it somehow still feels fun. After we wrapped up, we grabbed our stuff and headed to the cafe because recovery was no longer optional. She needed a pick-me-up, and honestly, probably a new set of legs. We grabbed shakes, sat down, and started coming back to life. Then out of nowhere she goes, "Ummm... tacos?" And I looked at her like she had just spoken the Lord's language and said, "Yes." Then she hits me with, "I got the spot. Follow me." Now THAT is elite leadership. So basically this place gave us: a killer workout, laughs, smoothies, and the launching point for Taco Tuesday. What more do you want from a gym? A zip code? Actually... Lifetime might already have one. In all, Lifetime Folsom continues to prove it's way more than just a gym. It's an experience. It's a fitness amusement park. It's where confidence goes to get tested and where post-workout taco plans are born. And honestly... that's beautiful.

I took my first class with my sister a couple weeks ago and had a session with Sabrina, she played…read moresome fun EDM mixes and wow, it was a legit workout! I had such a great time!! Sabrina had amazing energy the entire class and was super encouraging, which made the experience even better. Loved her! The staff was also really friendly and welcoming, which made us feel right at home. Emily helped us and told us about the package deals. We then got helped by another girl up front with pretty eyes but I didn't get her name ! Katelyn the manager ended up helping us later that day and she was amazing as well!!! We started with a free class and ended up signing up for the month because we enjoyed it that much and yes, you'll definitely break a sweat! If you're thinking about trying a class, go for it!!! From the cleanliness, to the loud music that gets you hyped up, and the vibes! You won't regret it!

I stumbled upon this place while shopping at the Palladio and had to Yelp just to see what it was…read more I was curious because I did a cycling class years ago and wanted to see if it was similar. I tried out a free cycling class at Cycle Bar with my sister, and let me tell you, it was an experience to remember! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by Emily at the front desk, who was incredibly sweet and welcoming. We signed up for the 5:30 class with Sabrina, and she was simply amazing! She helped us get setup with our bikes. As first time cycling, they welcomed us with our names written on the lockers... ahhh so cutesy!! Sabrina's energy and positive vibes made the 45 minute ride fly by, and I can honestly say that this class surpassed any cycling experience I've had before. The atmosphere at Cycle Bar is so authentic and friendly. Everyone we encountered radiated good vibes, which made us feel right at home. We were jamming to EDM music while cycling our hearts out, and while it definitely kicked my butt, Sabrina's energy kept me motivated throughout the class. It was such a great experience, but we didn't want to commit to a membership since we already have one at a gym. We thought about it for a few days, but then decided it was worth it and signed up for the new members package, which includes three rides for just $49! I'm not sure how long that deal will last, so I recommend hurrying to take advantage of it! Katelyn, the manager, was super helpful in getting us set up for our next class, and there was another staff member with beautiful green/blue eyes who was equally sweet and initially helped us (sorry, I forgot her name!). We also tried the hip hop class with Addie later that evening, which was just as fun but offered a different vibe from the EDM class. I love hip hop and rap, and I appreciated that they played the original versions, not the clean ones! It definitely made my cycling experience more lit, lol. Both classes were great in their own way! Cycle Bar truly goes above and beyond with their amenities. They provide cycle shoes to borrow, fresh towels, and even a minty towel post ride. The bathrooms are stocked with feminine products, hair ties, and everything you might need, making it super convenient. Plus, they have a water machine for refills, and all these extras are complimentary! Just freaking wow!! I love you guys!!! lol I had to come back and edit and add another cool thing. You can download their app which tracks your rides!! Super cool. And you can also download their playlist from the classes, book your classes etc!! Amazinggg.. As someone who has been a Yelp reviewer for years (8 as an elite. I'm trying to get it back this year), this is hands down one of the best places I've ever visited, and I'm soooo excited to share my experience as I'm writing this. This is actually my longest review, and I'm telling you, you're missing out if you haven't checked out Cycle Bar! How do they only have 6 reviews? Come on, people! If you're looking for an uplifting and genuine cycling studio, look no further than the Folsom location. Trust me, you won't regret it! I can't wait for my next class next week, eek!

You used to get a nice foot bath while waiting in the waiting room. After COVID occurred, they got rid of the foot bath which was fine since I still love the atmosphere and I always get the full 90 minutes massage even with the massage therapist running late. Recently they have an online booking system which makes it really convenient. However the price has gone up for their services. My last massage at this spa turned into a deal breaker. I always booked a 90 minutes massage and this last one I only received 75 minutes of massage time. While massage therapist Breana was great during the massage. She was late for 10 minutes and by the time I changed and liked on the table, I probably only got 75 minutes or less of the 90 minutes I booked. After the massage, I was checking out at the front desk, the we're loud conversations from the break room on the side with massage therapist saying loudly "dang, bla...bla...bla", which was totally off putting and some of the massage therapist were a bit rough around the edges. I can put up with all the things they did such as raising g prices, skipping the foot bath, loud and inappropriate conversations from the break room. The major deal breaker for me is the therapist showing up to my appointment late and gave me less than 75 minutes of the 90 minutes massage I booked. Therefore I will try out other places and probably won't be coming back as a regular customer.
