What a lovely hidden...gem. Nestled on the bank of the Schuykill Canal near Phoenixville/Mont Claire, sharing space with a canoe and inner tube launch and a beautiful trail you'll find Fitzwater Station. This is a comfortable, rustic-feel place, with great views of the canal from their deck and enclosed porch, which ring a very 70's-dive-bar feeling inner sanctum of sports, alcohol, dark wood and party lights, aka "the bar". Lion and I, thanks to you lovely fellow Yelpers, ventured there after a movie at the nearby Colonial Theater. It was a sunny day, and the place was bustling, both with people on the grounds launching their various floaty machines and those enjoying a meal. We were seated in the covered porch area with a great view of the river and a cool breeze coming from the mini-split AC. Service was at a nice pace. I got the hamburger (delish, basic, good people food) and Lion devoured his brisket cheesesteak. I love that they gave us time to relax without slowing the meal down. Prices are reasonable, parking is on dirt/grass/gravel, staff were friendly and efficient. I'm very much looking forward to dining there again as the days get cooler and the trees show off their fall colors as they retreat to winter slumber.

We love this place, we rent kayaks and do the look and always work up our appetite for when we return. We sat on the deck and it was a windy day, things were blowing all over the place. The service was alright even though they clearly struggled to keep up. Everyone seemed to lend a hand being that they must have been short staffed. The food was good for the most part. The sandwiches hit the spot and were packed with flavor. They fell apart and just made them all that much better. As for the nachos they were a let down. The meat had no seasoning, it wasn't chili meat or anything that seemed flavored. Just ground beef and that really threw off the entire dish. We will return because you can't beat the location.

First time back in Phoenixville area after a long time. Came to Fitzwater Station for a post Christmas lunch with my husband's side. One of my brother in law used to work here some 30 years ago. We ordered pulled pork sandwich, crab cake burger, chicken sandwich, fried chicken and waffle, fried onion rings, fish and chips, raspberry mule, and cinnamon with whiskey (I forgot the name of this drink!). Everything was good, but I think they really shine with their BBQ entrees, because you see a big BBQ pit in the back of the restaurant and it smelled so good! The restaurant overlooks the Schuylkill canal which was frozen. You see ducks waddling on frozen surface, and families ice skating. There is a decent size outdoor dining along the canal, which I think will be so nice in warm weather! I am looking forward to coming back in the spring and summer!

This place is abysmal. Horrible customer service, I had a 45 min wait for a reserved table. My food order was messed up two times and brought back wrong in both instances. Along with that they're never came to check in or to make sure everything was gotten. if in the area stay away at ALLL COST. Have a great day

Year of the Corona!!! Governor issued yellow status and restaurants can reopen with safety guidelines in place. Gorgeous day, low humidity and good to alive and out. Stumbled on this place. It's tucked away. And the locals don't share it. The setup is shore-like. Basic and low key by a tributary. Lotta kayakers. Safety procedures in place: Check. Menu board at one-way entrance: Check. LOTSA beer options and slushees: Check. Fish n Chips: Check. Easy seating. Available right now: Check. Drinks came quickly. Deirdre, the server was just the right amount of attentive. All personnel were friendly and busy busy efficient. The fish n chips were decent. Was not expecting much, so this was a good surprise. The watermelon slushee was gooood. Good God, I had a brain freeze! Sit out on the deck, watch the geese, ducks and kayakers. GREAT Spot.

We went canoeing and this place was right by the rentals so we diced to try it on the way back , the ribs were absolutely amazing , falling off the bone , so so good . Their Brussels sprouts was cooked to perfection !!! Service was great and our waitress Jordan was very helpful , the only disappointing this was the fact that the beer wasn't really that cold .

Just remarkable speed and care. I had like five people ask me if I was good while I was waiting for a beer just the exact speed you want from a bar. This place is just remarkable. Also tried the food also great. The owners really care and it shows. Also comedy shows here were amazing !!!

It's a cool place that I wished I had more time to visit. What drew my interest the number of vegan options that they had on their menu. Vegan Nachos and Vegan Pizzas. There are also some handhelds as well. I was with a group of 35 at another restaurant that did not have vegan options so I called ahead, placed my order and picked it up around 6:30 pm. At that time, there was a good sized crowd inside and everyone seemed to be having a great time. I paid for my vegan pizza, and then without drawing too much attention to myself, walked into the restaurant and went to the second floor that was reserved for us. My pizza was excellent. The Vegan Blanco Vegan Mozzarella, Tofu Ricotta, Sauteed Spinach, EVOO, Garlic I haven't had pizza in about 3 months so i was definitely looking forward to it. I really enjoyed how they did the Tofu Ricotta the Vegan Mozzarella. My only critique is this - When working with vegan cheese - especially shredded, let it sit at room temperature before popping it in the oven. By doing this, you avoid the 'matchstick' look on the pizza. What happens is that the vegan cheese going from cold to hot is too extreme so it doesn't melt, or spread out - it essentially cooks / burns in place. Having worked with vegan cheese companies over the years, there is a misconception that it is bad to leave the vegan cheese outside on the countertop - not really, it's not cheese. I devoured my pizza and appreciated having a vegan option besides fries and a veggie medley.
