We split chicken nachos, I ordered the Impossible burger with a Cesar salad, and husband ordered the bbq brisket Mac and cheese. The good: portion sizes were massive. We both took home enough food to be an additional meal. Salad was also very fresh. Unfortunately the chicken and brisket were very dry. Mac and cheese was super oily, like sitting in a bowl of oil. It pains me to write this as a longtime resident of Phoenixville and fan of Stable 12, but the service has really gone down hill this past year and I hope with some awareness it can be turned around. The food is still very good, but the past three visits service was very slow for us and it has taken almost an hour to get our food. Our appetizers and meals have come out at the same time. What really jarred us was what occurred on our most recent visit a few weeks ago. During this visit our server/bartender gave me a second cocktail with an orange slice that someone had taken a bite out of (and it was not me ). So, he had clearly dumped someone else's older drink contents into another glass and gave it to me with the Old Fashioned mixture or he bit the orange himself. So I hate to be writing this as a local, long time customer of stable 12 but it's a Friday (6/6/2025) at 2 pm and we literally had one of the worst dining experiences to date. We walked in around 12:35 and ordered two Cajun chicken wrap specials - easy. The place is not crowded at all and we're like okay good quicker service. I have had multiple instances here in the past where food has taken an hour or so to come out ... very unacceptable but whatever. Today was one of those days, we sat there for at least 45 minutes maybe 50 waiting for these WRAPS. They finally come out and after being frustrated at the long wait time we're even more disappointed as the food we received was laughable. My wrap looked like it maybe had 2 pieces of chicken in it, it reminded me of those craptastic snack wraps you can get at Sheetz gas station for a dollar a piece. We ordered the Cajun wrap special because we saw it on their instagram post and got excited - what we received was far from what was advertised and even if they hadn't advertised it I still would have sent it back. I told the waitress I was not going to eat it and that I was just going to go home and didn't want anything else. We had been there for like an hour and 30 minutes by now i had to get home lol it's a work day (i work from home) and i had a second job to get to that afternoon actually. She was EXTREMELY kind and accommodating - customer service was 10/10 which is why I give 2 stars not 1. She was very kind offered to box it up, bring me something new etc. (all of which I declined) she even then went on to take my husbands wrap off the bill as well which was totally not necessary- we begged her to please charge us for it because he did eat his (he was so starving at that point that he didn't care and just ate it but was vocal about how disappointing it was and how the wrap had barely anything in it. I still don't understand why he even ate it) - but she insisted due to bad product and especially the long wait time. We ended up walking out because we never saw her again and really needed to go but the entire meal was taken off the bill and we did NOT get any drinks at all so we figured that's why she didn't come back. We DID leave a $7 cash tip on the table regardless of this awful experience, we are not scum bags and rarely make complaints and certainly appreciated the free wrap that my husband did eat. Thank you to our waitress for the incredible customer service. She was a kind young blonde woman whose name I don't have. In all my frustration is at the business owner of stable 12. I don't believe this is even the cooks fault (I was told she is new) at all ! This is a result of cutting corners and expenses! I'm sure employees or cooks are told to not put a lot of chicken or protein in certain entrees where l they can get away with it to reduce cost and boost revenue! Genius - But i won't stand for it. We had a great time! There isn't much in the way of shade outside, but we sat by the wall, right next to another family. The kids enjoyed watching each other and it was a relief for both families to be seated next to another one. Stable 12 must use corn meal in their batter, which made the fried foods a little gritty. The fried pickles could have been thicker slices too. But let's talk about the main course. We shared the GOAT burger and pulled pork sandwich. The meat was amazing. Jam and soft cheese on the burger, great beer bbq sauce on the pork. We upgraded to fries for both, one normal the other sweet potato, and those were great too. We couldn't finish it all although we tried! The beers were decent too. We just had the nicest time. read more

When I told the waitress, she told me "they are always crispy some people are taken aback by that." There is a big difference between crispy and inedible! She offered to get me something else but I was told "they have a big party in the back, so it will take awhile." She took $8.00 off the price, but the entire hamburger, except for two bites remained on the plate. I once again told her it was inedible when she brought the check, and she said, "I did offer to get you something else." It was my buddies turn to pay my wallet was buried, my card was my buried in my camping stuff. We both mention we want our tabs combined it was acknowledged. As we were getting ready to ride home we were accused of dine and dashing by the waitress saying I didn't close my tab. She threatened to call the police after I mentioned my credit card was buried misunderstanding that my friend was paying.. But within minutes both my friend and I both had our cards in hand ready to pay. As we were walking in the waitress starts helping another customer ignoring us. We go to pay and the manager comes over and she gives the excuse. "they asked to combine the order, but added a drink to it so I uncombined it.". I can't go eat/drink somewhere that accuses me of being a thief over a misunderstanding...... Then allows remarks to be made by 19-20 year old kids that I'm a scumbag and the cops would be called. Then they wonder why I raise my voice. Nobody enjoys being accused of stealing and threats to call the cops by some stuck up 20 year old girl that can't admit to her own mistake or communicate professionally and correctly in a restaurant environment. They also kept putting all the bar customer's beers in a staging area so you can look at your beer 3-5 minutes until they actually bring it to you. Doesn't really make sense and works horribly when the bar is busy. Great place if not busy but due to management issues avoid if busy. Wish I could say different about Stable 12. Stable 12 has it all. Good food, great service, awesome vibes, and, of course, delicious beers. While I'm tempted to knock off a star for their loyalty to Penn State, Stable 12 is one of my favorite spots in Phoenixville, and I need all five stars to profess my love. When life was normal, Stable 12 was a great hangout spot. Indoor/outdoor seating with TVs and enough board games to keep you occupied for hours. With the onset of the COVID crisis, Stable 12 has risen to the occasion, providing quick, impeccable take-out service. I can truly tout the majesty of their wings and burgers. Burger Tuesday is a steal - a discount on the best burger in Phoenixville, and there are Vegan options available, too! I also love their wings. The are consistently good. Obviously, if you come for no other reason, come for the beer. They have a lot of different choices, with $10 growler fills on Sundays, and a variety of canned options, too. Most recently, I fell in love with their Razzle Dazzle raspberry wheat beer - it's a super refreshing alternative to the sours I normally drink. Phoenixville is a mini beer Mecca, and Stable 12 is a worthy visit. read more

I've been to a few breweries in Phoenixville, and Stable 12 is definitely my favorite. The food is delicious and they have a great selection of beers (and ciders and spiked seltzer's for non-beer drinkers like myself). To top it all off, staff is friendly and I'm very happy with how they've been handling the pandemic. Like I previously mentioned, I'm not really a beer drinker but I enjoy the seltzers and ciders they carry. I recently tried the ReVibe peach-passion seltzer and loved it. So much so that I went and purchased a 4 pack the next day! My go-to cider is Stone and Key cherry pie! Everything I have had from their food menu has been worthy of five stars. Out of everything I've tried, the G.O.A.T. burger and cheesesteaks are my favorites. For the cheesesteak, I recommend the ribeye with provolone and add fried onions and mushrooms (additional $0.50 each). You'll thank me later! *PRO TIP: 25% off cheesesteaks with a beer purchase on Thursdays!* Stable 12 has both indoor and outdoor seating, which has been especially helpful during the pandemic. Tables are 6 feet apart, staff is masked at all times, and they require customers to wear masks unless actively eating or drinking. As of March 11th when I last visited, they are allowing indoor dining although that is something I have not experienced yet during the pandemic. We've been here a couple times before and it's been solid. Beer is pretty good, food is serviceable--this isn't my favorite brewery in phoenixville as far as food goes, but it's been good in the past. The ambiance outside is wonderful as well. We found ourselves there this evening because it was a beautiful early evening, and we have a toddler--the outdoor area is spaced out enough that he can move around and not be too in the way. The service was also wonderful--our waitress was working very hard, was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu... all the good things! So why the 2 stars, and why will I likely not go back? It's a Saturday--a beautiful Saturday. They're going to be busy, and they were. We arrived at 5:45, waiting around ten minutes for a table, and were seated. We order our food at around 6:15. A cheeseburger, chicken tenders and fries, and a smoked chicken sandwich. All of that took... ... 2 hours. At 7:30, we asked for our food to be packed to go because we had to get our son home to bed. And then we waited for another 45 minutes. So now it's almost nine, and I'm home, and I open my chicken sandwich... and there's no sauce on it. :( So we won't be back--we've had some good times here, but this is unredeemable. There is plenty of street parking nearby, but one of the municipal lots is also just across the street. Tables are first-come, first-serve, and we had a brief wait on a Saturday afternoon, but overall were seated quickly at a freshly sanitized table shaded by an umbrella. We ordered beers and snacks as we had already had lunch; a lot of the menu options are fried, but there were a decent number of vegetarian snack options like fried cauliflower and fried chickpeas. Service was initially quick, though our food arrived well after our round of drinks was wrapping up. Stable 12 has a lot of IPAs on the menu, which aren't my thing, so I ordered the Stone and Key Cherry Pie Cider, which was yummy. BF and friend raved about the Moving to the Country: Strawberry IPA, though, and even I enjoyed the sip I took. Our snack, the fried chickpeas with Old Bay, were a big miss though. The chickpeas were perfectly fried and would have been delicious had they not been doused in an excessive amount of Old Bay. BF loves Old Bay, but refused to finish them because it was just too much. Service very good this past Wednesday, great special on wings. Just with their hummus plate ($11) was more creative. Menu stayed mixed veggies. Celery and green pepper. Fiancé and I have been excited to come here for a while, as we've been driving past all the time and seeing a vibrant and fun-looking outdoor patio! Although the rain kept us all inside, still a fun and happening place to be, with people of all ages here to enjoy. Tables close together definitely made it very difficult to avoid eavesdropping...! My fiancé and I found the drink selection a bit lacking. They have about 75% IPAs; since that's not our thing, he got the Kolsh--tasted hoppier than your average IPA! I got the cider, which unfortunately didn't carry ask much taste as I'd like. The food was totally on point, and we will absolutely come back for more. The BBQ was delicious. The Alabama white sauce was very yummy--tastes a lot like ranch, so I recommend getting a 2nd sauce to round out the flavor profile. Loaded fries were decent. On an exceptionally hot afternoon we found Stable 12 through Groupon and since they had a "beer garten" we could safely eat outside during the COVID crisis. Plenty of room and spaced adequately apart spotted with hand sanitizer stations the outdoor seating was COVID safe. The aroma of deliciousness wafted through the hot summer air and one could tell that in addition to brewing beers, smoking was done here on site as well. Our masked waitress greeted us and provided a chilled glass bottle of water for us to start off with. Informing us of the new legislation that food must be ordered if we wanted drinks (not necessary as it was merely 1 in the afternoon and we came specifically for lunch) She immediately asked for a "card to start our tab off", we complied and then perused the menu. There were plenty of offerings, I opted for the chicken nachos and he the meat lovers burger. Both ranked far superior to most Pub fare. Nachos with fresh pulled chicken, tomatoes that tasted right off the vine and "Alabama white" I am unsure what it was but it topped them off perfectly. The burger was slightly cooked a little more than requested but tasty nonetheless. Due the extreme heat we asked for ice for our drinks, only to be told "we don't have any" questioning this she replied with, "yeah, we don't do ice" Bizarre, but whatever, (maybe they lost the recipe) we drank our now warm drinks without it. The place was not crowded on a Friday afternoon, and despite the heat we enjoyed our meal and would most likely return when in the area. Good food, good beer, service not great. Food: the meat lovers burger is spectacular. Beer: you can't go wrong. Service. Always slow. Also had a little incident the other day. I wanted fries with my burger, but also just a couple chips on the side to taste them (you can get fries or chips with the burger). I asked for "somewhere in the range of 2-5 chips" (yes, I'm weird, but I know what I want), alongside my fries. Turns out, my burger came out with only 5 chips and no fries. I pointed out the mistake, and the server put in a side of fries, which came out only after finishing my burger 10 minutes later. Fine. But what rubbed me the wrong way is that she charged me for the side of fries. So, I basically had to pay for an entire side of fries in exchange for 5 chips. Shockingly petty. Here is an example of a business dropping a dollar just to try and pick up a penny. The dollar being my repeat business, the penny being charging for the side of fries. I'm left with a poor taste in my mouth, and I assuredly won't be back. read more

Stable 12 is my favorite place to eat in Phoenixville. The place has a nice atmosphere with nice picnic benches, umbrellas, and lights. They even have live music some nights as well as burger and wing specials on certain nights. Definitely a casual place to go with your family and friends. I'm vegetarian so I recommend their buffalo cauliflower & fried pickles. They are delicious! I haven't tried the vegan burgers yet but have heard they are delicious as well. read more

Apparently the customer is always WRONG. Having visited Stable 12 often, and I enjoy their beer and outdoor atmosphere, I have to say there service has always been questionable and now I have confirmed that it comes from the top. We frequent many of the breweries in the area with a large group of friends. We always call ahead to let them know we are coming. Every establishment welcomes our business despite the chaos. Stable 12 has consistently made this experiences a point of contention. From the eye rolling of staff, to being told that we "ordered wrong", to "it's because of your group" these statements coming from the owner...I plan to no longer visit this establishment. My business will go to the many other welcoming and respectful breweries in town. To have the owner stand at the bar and argue with customers after having to wait for our food order for 45 min, only to find out it was sitting in the To Go shelf is an honest mistake on THEIR part, own up, don't blame your customers for "ordering wrong" when all we did was place an order at the bar. And please stop blaming the POS system as to why you can't split a check. Disappointing. read more

We capped off our Phoenixville bar crawl at Stable 12. We hadn't intended to stay for more than a drink and then the manfriend heard the word...karoake. Had I noticed the menu when we were developing our game plan, we would've planned to eat at Stable 12. Not only did the menu sound the best, but the food looked and smelled mouthwatering. I don't recall what I ordered, something on the lighter side, but I enjoyed it. We ended up staying there for a few hours; catching the end of the football game and staying long enough for manfriend to sing a few rounds of karaoke. I'm not sure if it's the karaoke, but there seem to be a good number of regulars that come in. When it's warmer out, the size of this place almost triples with their great patio. read more

These had pulled chicken, but had a smokey taste, and covered in their Alabama white drizzle. There was little cheese on the chips. These are absolutely not your traditional nachos, which is what I prefer. If you also prefer a more traditional nachos, I wouldn't recommend these. I also ordered a burger with their hand cut fries. The burger seemed to have promise, but the cheese was all on the bun versus the burger? The hand cut fries were soggy. I'm not surprised being it was delivery, but was bummed as I love hand cut fries. I would try it again, but not through delivery. read more

We were not disappointed. The bar is tastefully decorated and the staff was friendly and helpful. We didn't eat this time but the food coming out of the kitchen looked and smelled wonderful. Just went down for the half price burger deal. Got our beers, put in our order with their fancy wifi system which is SO much cooler than a piece of paper, right? Fast forward 45 minutes, waiter comes by and apologizes for the wait, but our food should be right out. Another 20 minutes goes by and he comes and says that the order never got delivered (the 30 feet) to the kitchen..."a wifi problem". He waits an hour and doesn't bother to check with the kitchen? He's either incompetent or a bad liar. On top of that, he offers to put in our order, but he didn't remember what we'd ordered so he wanted us to repeat everything. Needless to say, we left. There was a fundraiser event here for my dog rescue so we decided to stop by. We have a newborn so we came at opening and got a table. However by 30 minutes after opening, it was packed on super bowl Sunday! We got the fried pickles, cheesesteak and brisket sandwiches. The fried pickles came with a smoky dipping sauce that was delicious! I wish I had fries to dip it in. My cheesesteak was really good. The beef was sliced thinly versus chopped up finely like other places so it tasted a little bit elevated. It came with homemade chips but they were over cooked so it was bitter. My husband brisket sandwich tasted more like pot roast, so don't be confused in thinking it is like smoked bbq brisket. read more
