Alright, buckle up buttercups, because stepping into the Five and Dime at Disneyland is like taking a delightful little hop back in time, with a sprinkle of Disney magic on top! First off, the vibe. It's pure Main Street, U.S.A. charm. The storefront itself is inviting, with those classic, slightly old-fashioned signs that just make you want to peek inside. And once you do? Oh boy. It's a sensory explosion in the best way possible. You've got the gentle hum of happy shoppers, the gleam of colorful merchandise, and that subtle, nostalgic scent that only a place like this can conjure. What I really appreciate is the variety, even if it's not the sprawling selection you'd find in World of Disney. It's curated, you know? You'll find those classic Disneyland souvenirs - the Mickey ears, the plush toys, the keychains - but there's also a lovely mix of smaller, more unique items. I snagged a really cute vintage-style postcard set that I haven't seen anywhere else. They also had some adorable little trinkets and home goods with a distinctly Disney flair, but not in an overwhelming, character-slapped-on-everything kind of way. It felt a bit more subtle and sophisticated, which was a nice surprise. The prices are what you'd expect for being inside a Disney park. Definitely not a discount store, but I didn't feel like I was being gouged either. The quality of the items seemed decent for the price point, and honestly, the experience of browsing in such a charming setting kind of justifies a little bit of a splurge. The cast members were, as always, fantastic. Friendly, helpful, and genuinely seemed to enjoy being there. They were quick to answer questions and offered that extra bit of Disney customer service that makes all the difference. My only slight nitpick would be that the store can get a little crowded, especially during peak hours. It's not a huge space, so maneuvering through can sometimes feel a bit like a gentle dance around other shoppers. But honestly, even that adds to the bustling, old-timey feel in a way. Overall, the Five and Dime is a must-stop on any Disneyland trip. It's not just a place to buy things; it's a little slice of the park's heart and history. It's where you can find those perfect little mementos that will bring a smile to your face long after your vacation ends. I give it a solid 4.5 out of 5 stars. Definitely worth a wander through!

Sometimes I like to peruse items in the stores and Five & Dime inside DCA is no different. I like to browse and I don't always buy. However, every so often, there's something I can't live without. I found these Haunted Mansion etoile style pajamas at Five & Dime and was enchanted. I left it initially because it XS, 2XL, and 3XL were all that was left. I decided to parkhop over to DL to check the stores over there. No luck. I wandered back to Five & Dime and purchased the XS hoping it was oversized. I don't usually buy too many items when I'm at the parks because I'm literally there every week. This was an exception. The pajamas are more luxurious than they appear and rival other brands in my own collection. Plus, there's a fun, whimsical twist. You never know what you'll find in the stores so that's why I like to look around when I have time.

The Five & Dime is located to the left when you enter Disneyland California Adventure Park. I have walked past this store so many times, while on my way to rides and attractions. I finally decided to stop in recently to check this place out. The store is tiny. They don't sell a whole lot either. I would call this store a Knick knack type store where you go for odds and ends type things like pins, hats and random items. Some of the stuff was cool.

Always loved cruising the shops on the left hand side of Disney California Adventure when first entering the park. And now, I love it even more with the Hanukkah section and Hanukkah pin trading!!! If you are looking for pins, magnets, keychains, shirts, spirit jerseys, hats, etc. then this is your must visit shop!

The store was clean and well-organized, with friendly staff. They have some really cute items, and they've already set up their Halloween displays. Despite the constant crowd, the checkout lines moved smoothly. Overall, it was a great experience.

She advised that my child not return to the theater class - my child was only 6 and was signed up for the appropriate 4-8 year old class. My boy enjoyed going to class, he said he didn't enjoy class ONE time and she ran with that message - I was told not to come back and not to sign him back up next time. She said this to me in front of an audience/parents before (the last day of class) performance. It was very unprofessional to not pull us aside in private to say this. It was disheartening for a mom to see that she was so quick to judge who can stay and who shouldn't. Perhaps, she has limited knowledge of how boys are different than girls but she definitely caters more towards the girls? I'm sorry if my boy was more active and more outspoken than the others. You can tell a lot about a person - have you seen her drive? You definitely don't want your kids near her. Anyway, I've also seen a play here in the past. For the size of the venue, the play was very well organized and professional. All the actors were all very well versed and seasoned. I would go back only to support the plays.

I want to say that the theater holds maybe 75-100 people...? Comfy seats and every seat is a great view. Prices are great, our last show was $39 each. The actors are fun and you can tell they absolutely love doing what they do. They are there to make everyone happy including themselves and their fellow castmates. There is a bar with drinks and snacks, we've even seen shirts for sale! We are considering purchasing a "B Season Pass" so we don't miss out on the shows this coming year, some sell out fast! I hate to even give a great review because I don't want people to buy up all the seats from under us, but yet I want to also give this theater a huge and happy round of applause for being FANTASTIC!! We will see you again soon! Cheers!

Everyone is amazing and gracious in spite of doing this over and over and I'm certain no two shows are the same. I would only change one thing and that is that the theater request all guests to have a slight bit of theater etiquette. I understand this is an audience friendly show with interactions between cast and audience, some of these families do not prepare their children for how to behave nor correct inappropriate behavior during the performance. At last night's show a young boy hit "Billy" so hard with the stuffed rabbit that his glasses flew into my lap 5 feet away. We noticed "Billy" had a band aid on the rest of the show. Whether that was a joke or real, the boy should have been reined in by his parents long before because he was also talking or shouting out through the performance. The cast handled it with ultimate professionalism and rolled with the "punches" as it were. This truly shows how amazing they all are and why The Maverick is a great place to see a show. Now if they would just do Clue on stage again ;-)

This review is for Disney on Ice: Magic in the Stars…read more We came to the honda center for it, and felt like the stadium seating was larger and further with a smaller rink/stage, compared to Ontario's Toyota Arena. It was definitely a lot harder to see if you're seated too high up compared to Toyota Arena. The rink got colder as the show went on, so definitely bring a jacket. My kids didn't enjoy this show as much as the Frozen and Encanto one we saw last year. This show had very little special effects and more "couple" dances, but they all looked very similar after you see the first one or two. We did enjoy the cars performance because it was a little different, and then moana's act at the end. My daughter's favorite princesses are Elsa and Ariel, but Ariel never appeared for this show. There were 2 songs from Frozen 2 though! Even so, we had a nice afternoon here with the family.

Great for younger kids with shorter attention span, say pre-schooler and elementary kids. Personally, for me as an adult, it's not something I would watch on my own or if I'm going to attend with just fellow adult friends. The show feels a bit amateur and all over the place. I prefer performances with a better plot and theme that strongly ties in together. It's as if this show is put on for the sake of trying to lump in all Disney characters into one show however possible. But little kids like it and that's all that matters. Sacrifices of parenthood. The venue is "okay". Food is super expensive ($20 for 2 slices of pizza) and not even that good. No outside food allows whatsoever and you can't bring bags bigger than 8x5 or something small like that (they tell you on the website). Parking is $20.

What this appeared to be was something that wasn't a too well thought out idea had they had a bigger screen we might have stayed longer than the first few minutes of the movie. The atmosphere on the other hand was killer I mean come on your in a park next to the awesomeness that is the Packing District so that was definitely a plus as was the free admission to the event.
