I know Five Below is a chain store located in most states, but I have been visiting more frequently and felt the need to review. This location is at the end of a strip of several stores in the Stop and Shop plaza in New Hyde Park. Parking is very easy to in the lot. Five Below is a step up from a Dollar Store and has some brand name items. Most recently, I have purchased games and craft kits for kids - there is a huge variety to choose from at around $5 or less. I also bought a rolling suitcase for $25, which has held up well in two international trips. In addition to these, they have a variety of tech items, housewares, sports equipment, t-shirts, candy, and beauty items. Everything is organized well and easy to find - the more expensive tech and houseware items are in the back, candy and t-shirts up front. Self-checkout is easy and staff is available if needed. Would recommend to anyone looking for quick and easy gifts. read more

Have to be totally honest on this one as I am always, I come here all the time and came With my lady and my niece for her birthday. It's like a toysrus for her. The store is quite well kept staff there are very friendly and helpful. Everything was good until leaving. The security asked for receipt to check our items which is fine but notice that he wasn't doing it for everyone. We called him out on that and he said yeah I do it for everyone, mind 3 people just paying he didn't check. I went to get my car and my lady and niece waiting outside, witness same security not checking anyone after us. Rubbed me the wrong way, tbh totally honest seemed racist. Five Below is every 80's baby and 90's Kid's Oasis and Promised Land ! I mean they've got everything we grew up on in one store. Candy, retro t-shirts, Board Games, Key chains, posters, Scrunchies, leggings, water toys and skips ! This is my favorite location because it's huge, organized and they sell everything!!!!! I scored some great deals here. Today I bought the new monopoly pizza board game which I already love for $5. This game is $14 on Amazon. Worth every cent for hours worth of foodie fun ! Adults and kids alike will love this game. They also have a lot of fan gear for The Office fans. This is the perfect place to purchase birthday gifts and Christmas alike. So many good affordable quality items here for under $6. They also have a nice little technology section but to me those items are poor quality. read more

I love checking out five below in a different state. Much bigger store than I'm used to and very well organized. Stores very clean and the employees were friendly. Something about the parking lot was weird. Plenty of spots, but it seemed very narrow. At times I didn't know where to turn. read more

If you need cute Christmas ornaments that won't break they have them here. First time at Five Below and sadly for my pockets, it won't be my last. This store is located in a mini outdoor shopping center with a large parking lot right on Hillside ave. Everything in the store was easy to find and the store itself was clean. The name of the store gives prices away, $5 or less for everything. Seasonal items, a large candy selection, refrigerated drinks, large selection of headphones, chargers and car cell phone holders. Greeting cards, gift bags, board games, puzzles, gag gifts, kids toys, water bottles, fleece throws, decorative pillows, learning games, coloring books, play doh, markers/crayons, beauty items, nail polish galore, socks, gloves, scarves, small shoe selection, book selection in the middle of the store. The items sold in five below are decent quality as well, so don't let the cheap price fool you. Five Below, you have stolen my heart and my wallet. Will definitely be back. read more

I come here for some good deals. It is similar to dollar tree but the prices can go up to 5 dollars hence to five below. Some stuff are really nice and some stuff aren't so good. You have to check your prices too because somethings can be found at dollar tree or another 99 cent store for cheaper. However, they have a variety of things here that are nice for the house. They have great summer merchandise and party supplies! I brought a piñata here for my mexican fiesta themed party this summer and it is so cute! It is a cactus and it was only five dollars! I love 5 Below and this store is clean and has a decent variety. I've been to larger 5 Below's which seem to have more but this location is great and a saver when I need to buy last minute gifts for kids or outdoor items to play with. They also have throwback candy and items I havent seen since I was young. read more
