That is very annoying and dangerous to the shopping customers. He is by far one of the nicest shop owners I have ever met in the U.S. He really cares deeply about his customers and wants everyone to be satisfied with what they are buying. He allows you to check the models before taking them home to make sure they are not defective. Compared to eBay or other websites. I find models here to be the cheapest. A model plane will be $120 on eBay but then this place has it for like $46. Forgot to mention that the price you see is the not the price you pay. Steve takes money off and if you pay with cash and save him credit card fees, he will take a few dollars off. Would highly recommend this hobby store. Generally it isn't a place that I'd shop because clothing stores don't carry things in my size, but they do have some accessories and stuff. I did find a shirt that they carry up to a 2X, so my Cubbie-loving heart snapped it up; however, I think that single t-shirt is about it for the stuff they sell over an L. I stopped in because I was at the neighborhood street fair and needed some sunglasses, and I found a cute pair of those along with some lotion for my poor neglected hands. They had a lot of cute things from dresses and tops to candles, Chicago-themed merch, and items with which to pamper yourself. And TONS of jeans. I don't know if I've ever seen an independent boutique with as much denim as they have here. It's definitely a place to stop rather than shopping online because the cost of everything I saw here was very reasonable. The staff--possibly the owner, along with another employee--were friendly. It's a small shop but not crowded, and they have an area that I think was set up as a fitting room complete with a couch so your trusted fashionista friend can tell it to you straight. This store doesn't have dedicated parking, but in Edison Park you'll find that's not generally an issue.

What attracted me were the signs in the window "HUGE PRICE CUTS" & the sign for a pint of blueberries for $0.99/pint. Almost every year we go to Degrandchamp's Blueberry Farm in South Haven & pick fresh blueberries. We freeze them and use them over the course of the year for cereal, blueberry muffins, pancakes and just to eat them cause they're so dam good. Well my freezer stock is almost gone and I've been keeping my eyes out for a good price on Blueberries. $0.99/pint is a pretty good price (limit of 3) so I went in straight to the produce & picked some up. They also have red grapes for 0.$99/lb. As long as I was in the store I looked around. The deli has some incredible sales on lunch meats, Lean pastrami, lean corn beef & 3 types of Turkey lunch meat all for $2.99/lb. I also found the 1/2 gal of milk is only $1.29 (reg. price). As I was walking to the front I stopped by the bakery. I found a tiramisu cake for $6.99 this is usually $12.99 @ Mariano's for the same size cake. Pro Tip I bought 3 pints of blueberries for $0.99 as this was the limit (normal price is $2.49/pint) and went back in & bought 3 more of $0.99/pint. MY BAD!!!! I love blueberries and you can freeze them so I like to keep these bad boys around as they are delicious & combat cancer, protects your heart stabilizes blood sugar, boosts memory (& something else but I can't remember lol ), prevents constipation & chock full of antioxidants. I'm probably going to go back again & get more as blueberries are like garlic you can never have too much.

I bought a watermelon with a list price of 2.99. I was charged 9.19, likely charging me per lb. No…read morebig deal. I went back to show the mistake to the cashier. She was very rude. I went to go take a picture of the watermelon price and I showed it to her. I was asked to go retrieve the watermelon from my car even though it was clear there was a mistake in the price and I had the receipt to prove it. She tried to deny the mistake and claimed there was another type of watermelon which there wasn't. After a large waste of time, I asked her for her manager. Both of them were rude. I understand looking out for your employees but this was a simple problem with a simple solution. There was no reason to be rude to and waste the time of someone you made a mistake with. In the end I ended up returning the watermelon entirely. Similar mistakes have happened here before. They are not easy when guarding their wealth but don't mind taking a bit extra from you. I understand mistakes happen but they need to own up to it. I didn't here a single word of sorry and everyone was rude without cause.

Note, opposite of Costco, which gives you things in bulk, at times, bigger than usual containers/packs, be aware (not beware) of Dollar Tree size containers/packs. For example, their Pringles containers are smaller, and that "bargain" roll of holiday wrapping paper, is so thin and short, you are getting your money's worth. Besides that, items such as coloring books, gift bags, Made in China toys, are worth it, IMHO. If you're planning a party, Dollar Tree has plenty of weighted table center pieces, clothes, party favors, etc. Need some noise makers and plastic party hats for New Years Eve?
