So many unique and fun and efficient and nifty items that you would never usually find anywhere else. Japanese people are very inventive about the pull items that most places would not bother to manufacture. You will find tiny amazing high quality 2 inch scissors for $2.25 that you can stick on the wall with a magnet and carry on the plane for various needs like cutting off tags or taking a piece of thread off your coat that is loose. Free and open parking lot and shares the shopping mall w Walmart.

Nice Daiso store next to a WalMart. I'm still a bit surprised that there are two Daiso stores in Niles, both are around the same size. Pretty well laid out, nice basic store to get some plain items. Usually I like to go here to get some inexpensive organizational items just seem a bit nicer then some of the dollar stores that I've gone to. This store is a little bit harder to park at because of the walmart next door, but I would always recommend trying to go to a Daiso over a dollar stores.

I've visited three Daiso stores recently and this location is the nicest. It's large, clean, well-stocked, and on my visit, empty. I also think it had the largest food section. However, they did not have the dehydrated lemon wheels I seek (OMG, stop with the lemon wheels already, Karyn M!).

05/07/25 - Daiso is a store that originated in Japan in 1972. The first time I saw Daiso was in the Philippines. They have been there since 2009. This new Daiso store opened about 1 month ago next to DD Discount & 2 doors over from Walmart. Daiso's carries a lot of little inexpensive items for the household. They also have a section for Japanese snacks. The store is super clean & spacious. We were assisted by a young Filipino kid that was very helpful in assisting us in finding item we needed.

Grand opening!!! Looks very clean staff friendly

Really nifty selection of all kinds of Japanese snacks and goods for the household.

I was also excited as they carry the brand of lipstick I like. I put the different color of lipstick on the back of my hand until I found the color I like. Of course I cleaned my hand using the cotton swab and make-up remover. I end up buying more $100 something worth of snacks (including the shampoo and conditioner I came there originally). The girl who checked me out doesn't have a good customer service. I asked if they have trash and she said yes, so I handed over the cotton ball. And she pointed me to the end of the counter. I said, ok, so I walked there with my cart as I put my 2 year old niece on the cart. I thought she was done charging but I didn't realize that there are 2 more konjac jelly on the side of the cart and I didn't see it because my 2 year old niece was sitting on the cart. It was an honest mistake. Anyways I handed it over to her and saw her roll her eyes. I just keep my cool. I asked for an extra small bag so that I can put my niece snacks that we purchased. The girl said it's 10 cents. Girl, I just got more than $100 worth of stuff and you can't give me an extra bag? I've been in the store more than 10 times and didn't know that they charge the bags. Anyways I end up giving her $50 as that's the only cash I have. Most of the emplyees are nice but the girl in the counter yesterday sucks. I'm giving it 2 star due to the other employee who is more considerate and even open the door as me and my niece walked out the store. 1 star for having variety of stuff, but I can go to Park to Shop, Mitsuwa, or H-mart for a lesser price.

Quick take: We need Teso in CA…read more Omg! All of the non Popmart blind boxes! I couldn't buy any because I was limited on space since I only traveled with a carryon. Korean skincare galore! I could spends hours inside this store. Customer service was great!
