The salesman, whom I don't blame, told me they won't do a job for less than $1500 this time of year. I find this ridiculous. Six estimates later and we landed on Sawmill Fence. Jim came out and we spoke, a very nice normal working man. His price happened to be the lowest but close enough to other prices not to think low price = poor job. I selected Sawmill on price and Jim's knowledge and personality. The customer service was excellent. He was responsive to questions I had between estimate and work, he gave me information about products and what I can expect to get for my money. He was spot on when he could start and finish (4 days). It would have been 3 days but weather a small factor one day. Fence looks great, solid and I have neighbors asking me who did it and share Sawmills information with them. The only reason I am not giving Sawmill Fence 5 stars is that I would reserve that for "if" there is a problem or something needs attention to within reasonable time of install, I would like to see how that pans out. As for Jean i's poor review, it is not the responsibility of Sawmill Fence to obtain a permit, it is and always will be the homeowner's responsibility to be knowledgeable of the rules in any municipality I have lived in.
