I went 2x/week for 4 months for acupuncture and herbal tea supplement (which I drank twice a day…read morereligiously), all as recommended due to my build up of stress and wanting to get off of anti-depressants. We identified I had a yin deficiency, which I have heard from other practitioners before. I was told I have inflammation from the "heat" from the yin deficiency. All made sense to me. There was no type of improvement that I could see. I was uncomfortable during the acupuncture and was barely relaxed. I've seen other practitioners and did not have this kind of experience. I really wanted to like this practice so it was disappointing. I wanted to commit to doing it for a year, but I just couldn't hold out because I was actively suffering through the acupuncture. (And I'm a fan of it!) What really got me was that Dr. Hou would see me every week and say the exact same things for 4 months. "Tongue getting better." Or "Toenails are still dark red (low oxygen) but getting better." This on repeat for 4 months. There was no visible or internal improvement on my end. I committed completely and took her suggestions. I tried to tell her my concerns, but she had no answers for me. Just that it will take a long time and that my "cells need to grow." If I had a dime for every time I was told my "cells need to grow," here I would be rich. I understand TCM and have no issue with waiting, but the constant "you're getting better" was suspicious. I had a bad feeling about it. I was basically told to wait a year to see improvement, but the repetition felt very "snake oil salesman" to me. Not to mention, the place seems like it hasn't been deep cleaned in a very long time. The tables are uncomfortable. The prices are decent, so if you want to give it a try and see if your issues resolve unlike mine, give it a shot! I saw a lot of great reviews so I really wanted to give it a solid try. But I need to get a second opinion after this experience. I was sketched out and had to trust my gut.

At the end of the visit, they charged us the full $80, promising submit a claim to Aetna for reimbursement. In late January 2022, I called to check on the status of the claim. Lia told me that the $80 has gone towards our out-of-network deductible, so there would be no reimbursement. It turned out that Heritage is not in the Aetna network, so Lia had not been honest with me during our first phone call. We ended up spending $50 more than if we had gone to an in-network provider. Bye, Heritage!

I never received acupuncture before, but am so glad I started coming. Since seeing Daisy, I've had a variation of acupuncture, cupping, and massage therapy to treat my various ailments. The treatments have helped reduce and remove the pain I was feeling in my neck and back. Daisy has also given me herbs to help treat some other health issues (cold, flu, hormonal imbalances) to treat the root cause of my issues as opposed to masking the issue. Daisy is great because she always discusses the cause of my pain, and how the treatment is supposed to impact it. Daisy also showed me some exercises to help strengthen certain muscles in my body to avoid putting so much stress on my back. Daisy's staff is also really nice, and the office is clean and organized. If you've had pain or injury in your body, I highly recommend giving this place a try.

He used electroacupuncture and scalp acupuncture, which greatly helped my recovery. At the same time, he guided me to do some functional rehabilitation training every day. I saw Dr. Du for 6+ months, at which point I had hoped to see some kind of improvement in my symptoms (ie. not feeling like death whenever my cycle starts), but there have been absolutely no changes at all. So first the positives: - Dr. Du isn't mean or intimidating like some doctors can be. - Prices without insurance is reasonable. - she managed to correct my curved spine (something I wasn't even aware of before meeting her, and tbh not something I really care for) - the few times she gave me acupuncture for stress I did feel a sense of relief afterwards Now the negatives: - she refused to give me regular herbs for my conditions, which I found strange. All my research and past experience with TCM shows that acupuncture and herbs work best together, but she insisted I only needed herbs at the beginning of my cycle. - she never really addressed my fertility issues. Granted I had other issues that should be addressed as well, but I found it frustrating that whenever I asked she told me that I was still young (I'm really not) and that I shouldn't rush. Judging by the other reviews I have no doubt that she can do wonders for chronic pain or other issues but when it came to fertility and women's health my experience has been disappointing and I felt like I wasted my time and money.

My back is so much better I can stand for much longer periods and can walk some distance now without feel pain or needing to sit down. I can't recommend her strongly enough.
