Three of us ate dinner here Saturday evening. Only one of us received the correct order. We were in a hurry, so we chose to just eat what we got, so we wouldn't have to wait. Chances are the order would be wrong the second time too. Being a vegetarian, I decided to have the veggie sandwich with cheese. For this, you get a bun, cheese, and any of the usual toppings. When I got my sandwich, it was very, very sloppily made and hard to eat. I was missing 2 toppings I ordered and had one which I didn't. As far as taste, it was as expected, not too exciting, but good enough. The others ordered burgers with bacon and various toppings and one loved theirs, the other (whose burger was wrong) not as much. With our burgers we got fries and sodas. I don't really drink soda, but I make the exception for the customizing machines. The fries were pretty good, but lacked salt, which is sad coming from someone who thinks everything is too salty. The overall experience was ho-hum and I may return, but I think I prefer Elevation Burger up the road. read more

Between the Five Guys on Airport Rd and this Five Guys on Tilghman St, I've never noticed any difference between the service. But I much prefer this one over the Airport Rd one. The food has never given me any trouble and the fries are good. I do like the cajun flavoring on the fries and how my burgers are always overflowing with delicious mushrooms and onions and pickles and whatnot. The peanuts at this location sometimes can be bit stale but I'm not a big fan of the roasted peanuts anyway so it's no loss to me. read more

I've been here for breakfast lunch and dinner. Didn't know they serve breakfast? Think again! Who says you cant eat a double cheesebuger w/ an extra patty for breakfast. I love the fries, the friendliness, the peanuts is a cool touch. (even though i dont' eat them. - I know one person who didn't like Five Guys and didn't understand the hype. This same person was disappointed when that disgusting Hamburger Stand was closed! So take every review for what it is. Very disappointing. Usually pretty good burgers. Not this time. Meat was flavorless. Not hot. I suspect that the meat was cooked previously and reheated. The cheese on my sandwich never completely melted. Ordered a small fries and got a portion comparable to a small fries from McDonald's. Usually enough to share. Not this time. Let me add my opinion to the 2 reviews already posted. I, too, am a bit of a burger snob. I'm on the hunt for the best burger in the Lehigh Valley, and for me this is not it. I'm making a cup of tea as I write this to try to get rid of the greasy aftertaste in my mouth. I had a McDonald's burger for the first time in probably 10 years on my way back from Massachusetts after Christmas. The burger I just had was about the same - two thin patties, greasy, on a sad bun - so if you are a fan of McDonald's, you'll enjoy these. They do have big variety of toppings for free so you can build a bigger burger without a bigger price. I like my fries hot and crispy, so not my kind of fries, either. I tried the cajun fries, but found the seasoning insipid - Arby's curly fries are much tastier. I do like vinegar available for my fries, so that is a nice touch - would have been a great touch if I had liked the fries. The peanuts on the tables to nibble while you wait are a nice touch, but unfortunately, don't make the burgers any better. Only offer soda for drinks, so since I don't drink soda all that was available for me was water. Gave it a try but won't be going back since Ruby Tuesday is right next door, and I prefer their burgers. read more

Best place around for a burger. I always get an third patty on mine, extra cheese and extra bacon. It is the best burger I've ever had. This location in particular is my favorite. They strive to be perfect. I saw one worker actually make another put my one patty back on the grill for a few seconds because the cheese wasn't perfectly melted. Burgers are decent, but the service in this place is terrible. Even when there are hardly any people in the place, the burgers are slow. And what's with blasting the music so damn loud? As I walked in there was a sincere welcome from.... ready?? Four girls and one guy, who disappeared, and another girl appeared.., that's right FIVE GIRLS were running the show, cooking, prepping, cashiering, etc. I was so impressed with their coordination and hospitality. I am very disappointed with this location. They close at TEN and I walked up to the door and it was locked 15 minutes EARLY!!! I used to be a regular customer and then I stopped coming for a couple of months. I don't know if they changed management but they need to work on their customer service and clean up their act. All of the workers just stood their looking at me as I tried opening the door at 9:45. even the manager looked at me and didn't even open the door. Never coming here again. This is not the first five guys i have been to but this one has the best service of any. When stopped in for a bite the guy at the counter was super friendly and nice. I could swear the guy at the front counter took his happy pills that day. read more

After a long time not really coming here. I decided to give them another chance. I have been 2 a five guys a couple times since my original review and the burgers are no longer a grease ball. They now taste like a quality burger. At least much better then before. Way to go guys. read more

Top Notch service all the way. This evening, i made the mother of all goof-ups and they went above and beyond to remedy the situation and prevent my son from having a meltdown. After a long day, my 4 yr old and I stopped at 5 guys for dinner to bring home. He had been requesting it for days and finally we decided to grab it as a Saturday night treat. We made it all the way to our house on the south side of Allentown and I realized I didn't have the food. In a rush to get my son back in the car and buckled in the car seat, I apparently left the bag of food on the roof of the car. I called the restaurant and explained what happened and I was beyond grateful for their willingness to remedy a situation in which they held no fault. Easily the best chain burger in the area since Elevation Burger closed shop. It's expensive, but it's worth it. The amount of fries (which are delicious) is insane.
