Solid 3 stars. Always consistent and cooked to order. The fries are fresh cut, always smoking hot, cooked in peanut oil and really tasty. The burgers are always cooked well done which keeps me from ordering them. Instead, I got a split hot dog which is always pretty tasty a soda, dog and regular fries with tip was just shy of $20 (ouch)

Food is good, but that's about it. Service not very present, speed, not good, amd very loud music inside, so loud you can here then call your number. 2 of us dropped $50 for food. I think next time any other local place will be the first stop.

Cheeseburger (no bacon) with the works, a really good burger.

Now that's a burger. I ordered a little bacon cheeseburger, and even though they forgot my bacon I will forgive them because the burger and fries were very good.

    Thank goodness for salted peanuts.

I am generally a HUGE fan of Five Guys. This location really disappointed. Teagan and I stopped for a late lunch (2:15) on Saturday. No line. Hurray. And started to order. I should have been alert to the fact that the place was messy. First clue to a less than stellar visit to a restaurant. I understand when there is a line out the door and the place is packed that the table won't get cleaned quickly and there will be trash on the floor. But neither of those conditions were present on this Saturday afternoon. Next disappointment, the milkshake machine was broken. Two strikes. Our food came out and we were really hungry. Burgers were great like always. Topped correctly and tasty and juicy. Our Cajun fries were less than stellar. Our bags was loaded with end bits. Almost no long delicious fresh fries. There was so much Cajun seasoning on the fries that the salted peanuts helped minimize the saltiness of the fries. The magical soda machine was out of two entire types of flavors, no Sprite and no Fanta. Even the ketchup dispenser was on the fritz. Maybe this location was just having a really bad day. Maybe the manager is on vacation. But if you walk in for some delicious burgers and the place is a mess, walk away.

You wanted the best, now you've got the best .... or whatever, it's just another Five Guys. They have been open a few weeks and I finally made it in, place was super clean (new construction build out) and the staff was eager to make the food. I felt the food came out pretty slow for me but others got their food super quick, maybe it was what I ordered - I dunno. If you are a cocacola fanatic they have the freestyle machine here, so you can pick your coke and add flavors if you so desire. If you are looking for something nice and refreshing and non-coke to drink with your burger and fries check out Smoothie King right behind it. All my food was as good as can be expected from Five Guys, definitely worth stopping in if you are a burger fan (i usually get grilled cheese).

    Cheeseburger!

Order was wrong. Company did not respond. Buyer beware. Check your bag and order before leaving. Help was too busy on their phones

I needed something quick to go so I just got the fried chicken sandwich. It took about 20 min for my order to come out, though there seemed to be quite a lot of phone and delivery orders coming out in the meantime. Their prices overall seem great, and I was pleased with the freshness of my sandwich! The restaurant itself is a smaller diner with both booths and bar seating but I opted to take my food to go. I will definitely be back to try some of their 50 cent wings or their buy one get one free plates next time I'm in the area!

I ordered 2 hummell dogs with kraut and mustard to go anyway. All the signs said they were $4.50 ea, but after buying a small soda my bill was $14.00! It wasn't until I got into my car to eat them that I started to realize they must have charged me an awful lot for mustard and sauerkraut. I don't feel like going back and making a fuss, but I won't go back to eat there either . Just for the record the man serving me was very nice and the hot dogs were actually pretty good when I finally ate them but I really wanted Sabrett dogs and I guess I'm just going to have to keep looking for them somewhere in Connecticut. I didn't catch it

Glenwood Drive-In is a historic family restaurant that opened in Hamden, Connecticut in 1955. It…read morewas founded by Rocky Stone. The property was originally a small drive-in that operated under a different name. Stone purchased the drive-in after working as a Tip-Top salesman and deliveryman. He renamed it "Glenwood" and expanded the menu, hours and the physical building. After Stone passed away in 1960, his son Frank "Wayne" Stone took it over and he continues to run it today. In the early days, the Glenwood had a walk-up service window similar to establishments such as Dairy Queen. Over the years, Wayne remodeled the interior and added an indoor seating area. The menu consists of staples such as footlongs, chili dogs, cheeseburgers, clam strips, lobster rolls, soft shell crab, fries, onion rings, and much more! Although the establishment is no longer a traditional drive-in restaurant, the Glenwood still hosts classic car "Cruise Nights" every Wednesday during the warmer months. In 1985, Wayne's daughter opened "Kelly's Cone Connection": an adjoining ice cream parlor business that is connected to the Glenwood. Although both businesses share the same space, they operate as separate entities. Kelly makes all of her own ice cream, hot fudge, waffle cones, ice cream pies and birthday cakes in house. Customers can expect to choose from about 35 different flavors on any given day. My family and I recently stopped for dinner at Glenwood Drive-In. Growing up in the area, I visited the Glenwood several times throughout my childhood. I also frequently accompanied my father to "Cruise Nights" when he still owned a 1971 Triumph TR6. On this outing, we ordered a variety of menu items including a "Chili Cheese Dog", "Footlong", "Chicken Fingers w/ Fries", and "Fried Shrimp w/ Fries". There's something about those classic menu staples that just really hit the spot. Afterwards, we headed through the adjoining doorway to Kelly's Cone Connection for dessert. It was a special occasion because the ice cream parlor was hosting a meet & greet with Spider-Man himself. The event coincided with the release of a new monthly special called the "Spidey-Sundae" (Firework 250 Poprock ice cream w/ golden Oreos, a frosting and sprinkle rim w/ a cotton candy web, poprocks, & a Spider-Man ring). My sons both had a blast meeting Spider-Man and eating his special ice cream treat. I tried a different monthly special: the "New England Clam Chowder" (sweet cream salted caramel ice cream w/ white chocolate "clams", dried mint, vanilla wafers, white chocolate shell). The presentation was immaculate and the flavor combo was simply divine! If you're looking for classic American drive-in food along with some fantastic ice cream, then head to Glenwood Drive-In and Kelly's Cone Connection!
