On the day I came in, the friendly (I assume ) owner told me about a special - I scored a Polish *and* and Italian Beef for some ridiculously low price (under $15 IIRC). The house-made giardiniera is great. P.S. I am going to make an exception to my policy and comment on another review (two stars): "Beef is weak barely put any beef on it compared to others. And the miced giardenera not a fan of. Do better Martinos." I guess my first thought was, "What is this correlation between poor grammar and ridiculous reviews?" It's definitely a thing.

When I was there, several customers were enjoying a large bowl of shaved ice with toppings - that seemed to be popular. There are a few seats to hang around while snacking/eating. There is a large public parking lot just behind the shop up the hill, a conveniently located spot. I picked up a 3-pack of Mochiring doughuts, with the following flavors: mango; churro; brown sugar. The doughnuts were placed in a rectangular box which made it easy to carry home. Because it was hot, I ordered a fruit boba tea- mango with green tea and with mango-flavored popping boba. It was my first time to have the popping boba. The green tea plus the mango, which was recommend by the cashier/front counter attendant was really good. After trying the popping boba, it was fine, but I personally prefer the regular boba (I think it is a personal preference). I'd definitely get the green tea and mango combo again. The doughnuts were light and airy, and I like the fact they are small, sliightly smaller than bite-sized rounds. I'll come back another time to try the famous hot dogs - and I'd come again for the doughnuts, too. I recommend stopping by if you want to try something new.

AND it is $18 a quarter, $6 more than a regular flavor! Gilles Jamo custard can't come close to Kopps Baileys custard. And Kopps doesn't raise the price on a specialty flavor. Gilles food is always good tasting & quality. The regular flavors of custard is good. But Jamo isn't worth it in my mind.

BF had the traditional jumbo dog with everything and liked it. My cousin had her jumbo without relish or onions and was happy as a clam. Mom enjoyed her jumbo dog without the relish and also was pleased. I had the veggie version with no green yuck relish and fried onions and it was really good. Who knew I liked that flavor combo? Also, kudos for offering a veggie dog option. That's a smart business choice. I also had onion rings and while I usually prefer battered rings, the crunchiness of these was undeniably excellent, even delivered, even from a location not super near to me. Nice! My mom and cousin enjoyed their chocolate malt, and I applaud that they offer malts and not just shakes, but we only got one of the two we ordered. That was a shame. Also, it's clean, the workers do not have an attitude, and if there is a problem they are more than happy to fix it. Three, the food! I like to order the Chicago dog (as is). No ketchup! And of course the chocolate cake.
