Usually 5 guys are perfect with order however this time they left off ingredients on 3 out of 4 burgers. This is the one Hamilton Place Blvd. Around 4 pm. We picked up order to go and felt disappointed. I really missed the bar b q sauce that I love on 5 guys cheeseburger. My son didnt get green peppers and something else. On a road trip, hoping to get a consistent good meal from Five Guys. Overall edible, despite not getting the order right, but not what I think of when going to Five Guys and spending 50 bucks on essentially fast food. However, the reason I am posting is to warn others about the lack of sanitation for the communal amenities. The staff did absolutely nothing about a homeless person who was essentially camped out in the store repeatedly getting free drinks, and making a meal out of ketchup, sugar packs and digging through the cut lemons and free peanuts. So, a few things: I love Five Guys. I've also worked in customer service since I was 16. I run my own business now, and I still have days where I just think "PLEASE stop bothering me." It's inevitable that there will be days when working sucks. With that said, I was a little taken aback when I went to this location yesterday at about 6PM. We went inside and the first thing we heard was "people are really still coming in?" This confused me. It was raining heavily outside, but nothing out of the ordinary for a spring in the south. We ordered our food, all while getting cold stares and trying not to make eye contact for fear that we may be turned to stone for having DARED shown up during a rain storm. My boyfriend and I are in our early 20s, and consequentially have no ability to be confrontational so whatever. The food was mostly good. My 1-and-a-half strips of bacon were severely under cooked, but it still had a good taste. And of course, the fries are second to none. Let me start by saying...my heart will always belong to In-n-Out...but ..I live in Chattanooga now and we don't have In-n-Out here. Boo!!! Anyway, Five Guys is a great burger joint. I hear that the founders were inspired by In-n-Out so that's good enough for me. Seriously, the burgers are very good. And you can get so many different types of toppings. The fries are really good as well. I like the Cajun spice on them. One tip...if you go by yourself or even with just one person, the small fries are way more than enough and you will probably not eat them all. This is a no-nonsense kind of place, but always busy and always clean. I appreciate that. It is a tad pricey for burgers and fries, so be prepared. We visited during lunch and the team on staff was managing the flow of customers pretty well as our food came out pretty timely. I had a cheese burger and fries. The cheeseburger was okay, nothing spectacular or note worthy. The fries weren't that great, the flavor was okay and they weren't crispy (I requested crispy). First of all, when I want a really good burger, I go to Five Guys! The fries, yes the fries are amazing also. Put the Cajun salt on them! Here is my go to meal: - Bacon Cheeseburger (all the way, minus pickles, add jalapeno peppers and hot sauce - Regular Drink (unsweet iced tea) - Regular Fries (don't forget to ask for the extra cajun salt) While you wait for your meal, get some peanuts and munch on those while sipping your drink. When you get your meal, take out the burger and cup of fries. Then tear your bag 1/2 to 3/4 off from the top. Put all your fries in there and mix/shake the bag with the extra cajun salt. I like all the Five Guys, but here is my list from best to not as best :) - Hixson (because the burger is extra good and they are extra generous with the fries) - Mall/Gunbarrel (the regular Five Guys experience, which is extraordinary) - Downtown/Broad Street (they are NOT skimpy on the fries any more!, closest one for me, but I travel to Hixon or Gunbarrel if I want the true Five Guys experience) If only they had milkshakes and/or draft beer... This was our first time at a Five Guys and it was a great experience! Food was delicious and fresh. The fries were awesome and are fresh cut. They have that crisp outer shell with a warm soft center and the seasoning on them was very nice. We couldn't stop eating them! We got the dogs and toppings were free and unlimited! Place is VERY clean and organized. Staff was very friendly and patient since again it was our first time. It's very apparent that the staff and management care about this place. This review has nothing to do with the food (which is great) it has to do with the service from one particular employee in a white shirt, I think his name was Nathan and it seemed like he was a manager of some sort. I've never had someone be so rude to me. First off he had a horrible attitude when ordering, he acted like we were so stupid that we didn't know we had to pick out our toppings. He also was rude about what size drinks we wanted. But the worst thing was he turned to a fellow employee in front of us and said "I can't cashier anymore, these people are acting like they have never ordered food before". Who does that?? At least go in the back if you're gonna be talking about customers. He clearly shouldn't be up front taking orders if he has a hard time talking to people. I was somewhat reluctant to eat here since I found the Five Guys where I'm originally from (Alabama) to be overrated. I have to admit I was wrong. The burgers are amazing here. My complaint for the other Five Guys was their use of canned mushrooms instead of fresh. I don't know if this was something all the restaurants used to do or if it was just that one back home, but the mushrooms on my burger at this location were fresh, which made the burger 10 X more awesome. The french fries feel like the greasiest things in the world, but they give you an obscene amount and they're freshly made, as is your burger. I created a Yelp profile simply to write this review. The food is standard Five Guys quality (which is to say, fantastic), but the customer service at Five Guys Gunbarrel Road is stellar. I went into this Five Guys with an embarrassingly low bank account, lower than I realized, and after ordering, my total came to fifteen something. This was more than I could pay, and I still owed about $1.50. I had no cash and, now in addition, an overdrawn account. I asked if I could cancel my order. Instead, they told me not to worry about it. I thought this meant "we'll cover the $1.50," which would have already been above and beyond. What actually happened was, not only did they give me my order, but they put the money back on my card! I've never experienced customer service that was so thoughtful and so unexpected and, more than anything, so unnecessary. Thanks to the Five Guys workers who made my day. read more
