This Five Guys location is located in the middle of the American Dream Mall, so as you can imagine when I went it was quite busy. We went right after the Girl Scout even at Nick Universe, and as you can imagine it was packed with others who had the same idea. I'm not that familiar with Five Guys, so I wound up ordering a double cheeseburger. I love how you can select all the toppings you want at Five Guys!! I will say the food was pretty good, and came out quickly, which was great as we had other plans that day. This is a typical fast food spot in a busy shopping center.

This location is located right below the Escape Game (don't be like us and walk around in circles in this maze of a mall trying to figure out how to get here). The menu is simple; just burgers, fries and milkshakes. I love that you can add as many toppings as you want for free. I got the little bacon hamburger with lettuce, grilled onions and grilled mushrooms and A1 steak sauce. It was a really good burger from the first bite. The difference between the little and the regular hamburgers is that the regular come with 2 patties instead of just 1. The mushrooms and onions made the burger taste even better though I didn't really taste the sauce much. The only way to order your fries is cajun style. It was slightly spicy but not too spicy. They also had single use plastic knives and forks at the sauce station. Don't forget to snack on some free peanuts while you wait for your order. We visited right before the lunchtime rush but the staff was still quick in getting out the orders. I think they'd benefit from a TV where it would display if your order is ready since they did have to yell out the same order numbers a few times.

This new FlagShip Five Guys place is extra large and they hook you up with burgers and toppings and fries, plus peanuts to go, so who can complain. I got a cheeseburger with a beef patty that looks like two pounds with everything on it and cajun fries and I wanted to try the Bacon cheese hog dog too. The burger I had was stuffed with toppings and got a little soggy, but that's my fault. It's a BIG FAT burger and will definitely fill you up. The cajun fries and also delicious and has a good kick. I stuffed and gave up hot dog too , but later I wish I kept it because it looked good. They filled my bag with fries so I shared it with three kids belonging to this lady there that looked hungry while I was eating and Yelping. I highly recommend ordering on the app they have I literally went in, got my food, and I was going to leave but I want to take photos of my burger for fear that it will become mush on the way home. The staff was all super friendly as well.

The backlog queue for the ordering line was probably 10 minutes and food backlog was at least 20-25 minutes only to find out that the food was waiting on the counter and they weren't calling or changing the queue on the screen. Tsk tsk. But overall, food was indeed Jollibee.

Only one person at the cashier, rest were busy packing and making orders. I went and finished some other orders and picked up that food, came back, and my food was ready for pickup (text message). Nice and simple. The folks I was behind - still in line. I mean, it's fried chicken... they need to be faster than this. Why people want to wait for 10+min in line is beyond me. Anyway - the review: chicken is super big but very fatty. Must breed them that way, b/c each piece had a ton of greasy and oiliness that was missing from the smaller birds I've had at other shops. Gravy was best with their fries and their biscuits. The salty/meaty aroma didn't combine as well and while it masked the bland greasiness of the chicken, didn't really do much to make it enjoyable for me. Pass on the chicken. Spicy was spicier than some other places, though, again, I'm not a spicy fried chicken person. Mac and cheese was heavy and cheesy, yes, but dry at the top. That's been waiting around. I should try the spaghetti next time.

The burgers were moist and has a nice char. Buns were good. The veggies seemed pretty fresh. I like that they put a lot of diced onions. Fries were hot and crispy in all our orders, but unsalted and very plain. We had to add salt/pepper and ketchup to give it any taste. They did mess up my fried chicken sandwich order, but fixed it once it was brought to their attention and got us a new one. Between the burger and fried chicken sandwich though, get the burger. The Beast Fries were not great though ... we thought it was way too indulgent and just too heavy. Recommend skipping that. However, overall thought it was a good experience. The servers were nice. I did not like the restaurant ambiance for some reason though. It just felt a little strange in there. That said, it was still a good experience. The food is good, and if you like MrBeast, you should definitely come!

It was more than enough to select from. The burger was juicy and delicious. The food came out quick and hot. Not much to say about this place but it's just a pretty good burger spot. Fries were crispy and to top it off we got an Oreo milkshake! The milkshake was awesome.

I'd caught a reel from a stand-up comic doing a bit on Yelp (talk about niche comedy, right?) and…read morethey'd ended it with, "And whoever bothers to give a 3-star review is psychotic!" - which made me laugh. But sometimes... a (middle of the road) "3" is just how it goes. Case in point: Bullhorns. Inside is a bit 'cold' and 'underdeveloped' and not a place I'd want to eat-in at. Guy behind the counter... a bit cold himself. (All good, retail is a cruel biz I know from experience.) As for the food... it's hard to stand out in a crowded field when it comes to burgers 'n fries and what they're doing is solid but it's also not that memorable. The fries (I ordered two which was more than plenty for four hungry people - they're taking a page from Five Guys on being generous with the serving size) were crunchy and flavorful. The burgers - they do not skimp on the patty size or toppings and everything worked well together but... yeah, it's a burger. (I was the only one that seemed to really dig what they ordered.) Maybe worth a mention: most chains when they offer something "hot" (spicy) - it's not that serious, right? You need to keep it safe (tame) for the masses. Well Bullhorns' "Devil's Revenge" was not hyperbole and my one kid (that usually loves spicy food) stood up after just one bite to walk it off. He went back for another and was sweating. (Poor kid begged his mom to swap burgers so she'd have to endure the capsaicin-overload.) For a chain they can't compete with the likes of Shake Shack or even Smashburger. If I found myself in the area again (with a hankering for a burger and fries) - I'd rather drive a few minutes out of the way to hit Bun Buddies over in Wood-Ridge for a much better meal. 3-stars it is.
