    Gappa Chaat

An absolute hidden gem in Secaucus. It was my first time ever, as I had heard some good things about this place. The food was absolutely delish!!! Gappa Chaat. 5/5. Vibrant, well presented. It was so flavorful and tasty. Chicken garlic roll 5/5. The chicken was well seasoned. Plenty of mayo n garlic. The paratha itself was delicious, hence enhancing the dish. I ended up getting a chicken garlic to-go also. The guy working the counter might have been a member of the ownership team. Good convo with him, as he came by the table to check up on all the customers dining. The music was chill. And the ambiance/decor was nice. Cool Muriels.

very limited vegetarian options but the gappa chat was delicious and the aloo tikki burger had such a delicious tikki that was crispy and flavorful. wish there was a little more to it and maybe no raw onions. hoping for more veg options!! sugarcane juice is also great and it's a nice vibe with beautiful artsy murals. staff is so nice and checks in on you!

Order at the counter and sit down in a clean, comfortable and well decorated dining room for a casual, quick and delicious meal! All of the service is friendly and happy to help with recommendations based on your preferences. Because I don't mind a little spice, the employee recommended a Chicken Tikka Paratha roll but I didn't think it was spicy at all! Just delicious with the sauces it comes with. The gappa chaat is HUGE I wasn't able to finish it but it was a great starter. Will definitely return to this business!

First time ever having Pakistani street food and cannot believe I have gone this long without it. My taste buds were super happy. Service was excellent and super easy. Walk to the counter, checkout menu, order and they will give you a number to place on your table. Appetizer/drinka will come first followed by your main meal. The owner stopped at our table to ask about our experience and recommended two excellent drinks. Delicious. Very cool chill crowd, mix of groups of friends and families. We will definitely be back.

Whether you hail from Islamabad and call it a burger or from Pindi and call it a bun kebab (a contentious lexicon debate I won't get into here), the sandwiches that much of Pakistan's street food life center around can be surprisingly vegetarian-friendly. Aloo tikki burgers may be better known abroad, but the star of the show at Food Street is the oddly-named "bun pluster," a decadently-buttered concoction filled with a fried egg and daal mash. One of the best sandwiches I've eaten in 2024. The chaat here is also on par with some of my other favorites in the region such as Mithaas and Kailash Parbat. Overall, worth the trip to Secaucus (never thought I would say that).

Great desi spot on the neighborhood. Went there for lunch today and got the kati rolls. They were very flavorful. The portion size is good for the price. We also tried the karak chai.It was okay. Would love to go and try other stuff on the menu like guppe chaat etc. Service was quick and efficient. The place is very clean and loved the decor.

Came here based on seeing an instagram post and it looked great. This is a small cozy spot that has cute ambiance to it. The light fixtures, wall paintings, and chairs are all great touch to the space. I did a pick up order so not sure if it because my chicken kathi roll got soggy but the halal chicken was good and partha was fresh but something in taste was missing for me a little bit. It was recommended as one of the popular items. Also got sugar cane juice that I had to wait a little bit for and my food was ready way in advance of it. The sugar cane juice is made fresh in front of you and was deliciously sweet. I will definitely go back to try the gappa chat as that is one of their popular items and looks yummy.

A small cute space with a walk-up counter and table side service. Very good food, everything is a bit on the spicy side. Coming from central Jersey where there's an abundance of desi restaurants I found their prices to be a little too expensive but not crazy.

Place is good, just make sure you call to find out if they have tables for you or not. Usually packed, so that's why I always take home food.

This is the best chicken sandwich you will likely ever have. It's huge and delicious. I get the regular and it's plenty spicy. It's great for delivery too because it keeps so well and is still amazing after cooking off to near room temperature. If I lived near here I'd eat this at least 2-3 times every month. Nice clean little spot if you dine in

Great new addition to Secaucus. It's from the same team behind Lahore, but it's focused on street food from Pakistan. The ambience is super cute and the graffiti will take you to the colorful streets of Pakistan. It's been super busy, so they have been taking reservations for the month of Ramadan. We almost didn't get our table after calling and confirming 3 times ( I even stopped in before the time of reservation) but I am sure it was an error in communication. Let's get to the food. If you are looking to truly enjoy, sit in, because the Guppa chaat is amazing and fresh. Perfect balance of crispy savory and sweet chickpeas. Good to share. We tried both the chicken tikka roll and malai tikka roll. Both were amazing, the paratha was just a little thick for my liking. We tried the chicken tenders, although we ordered spicy, they gave us plain. ( again just a technical glitch) but it was juicy and crispy. We absolutely loved the spicy chicken sandwich and the Hangry beef burger which had double patty! Superb food and a must try !

So first time when i wanna give some place more then 5 stars. This place is for all who are craving good Pakistani street food. Everything on the menu hits right on the spot!!! We went there on Eid day and it was busy as hell but the service and staff was still so speedy and most curteous. We got a table in few mins and food was served promptly which is awesome considering how swamped they were. We tried Tha Tha soda- i have tasted something so similar to the actual ones in like more then a decade-Plaster bun, anday wala burger,Gappa chat, galebi all were the best i have tried in ages. Rubri dodh was just amazingggggggg. Their rolls are pretty great too. We have found our new fav spot for sure. It has great decor and ample parking available outside. Easily commutable from city. Owners have done an amazing job setting this place up-Defo a place i can bring my friends to show them authentic street food taste.

Imagine if a passionate Michelin Star chef, using quality fresh ingredients, sets out to recreate the legendary street food of Lahore (a culinary center of South Asia). For a moment let that sink in. Food Street (141 Front St, Secaucus, NJ 07094) will surpass that expectation. I went with a group to Food Street. We ordered a lot of things. We ordered, HANGRY Beef Burger, Crispy Chicken Sandwich, Chicken Tikka Paratha Roll, Malai Boti Paratha Roll, Gappa Chaat, Jalebi and more. We shared everything family style. Everyone agreed that this was an outer body experience moment. Everything was extraordinary, but having said that, I need to add that the Gappa Chaat needs the attention of James Beard Foundation. Nothing even in South Asia, leave alone the NY/NJ/CT Tri State area comes close to this one creation. Credit for Gappa Chaat goes to an ex-software engineer, Aziz Khan (Head Chef at Food Street), who took an everyday mundane street food item and turned it into an extraordinary masterpiece.

Must visit, if you like authentic spicy street food. Chai was also amazing, refreshing. Reasonably priced.

Their chicken garlic mayo roll is the closest thing to a Karachi roll you will get in the tri-state area.
