After an incredibly crappy day: long commute to the corporate office, a new position taking over a dysfunctional project with an angry customer, and missing lunch, I dragged my tired carcass into Five Guys to drown my sorrow in my favorite decadent vice...a double Patty cheeseburger (all the way). The burger God must have taken pity on me in my Dockers, shirt, and tie...the team was so efficient that there was only a small line to wait in. I never give 1 star reviews. However, my experience here was the absolute worst. They took extra 20 minutes to get the order ready (making the burgers sit there growing cold while making fries after 15 min). I picked up the 4 burgers and got home and found that the bacon cheeseburger was missing the bacon and all the toppings and the cheeseburger was missing a topping. The fries were also very undercooked so that the potatoes felt a little crunchy (in a uncooked bad way). The bottom buns of the burgers were also super soggy. I called the store but they said they couldn't help other than make a new burger. I asked if they can deliver it or refund it and they said they can't. I went to pick up the new burger, and the store manager didn't even apologized and basically kept saying I should be satisfied with a new burger. I was not compensated in any way for the burgers and fries getting cold, time took to drive back and forth, time wasted, and just very bad experience. This was my first time at a Five Guys, so I really had no preconceptions about what to expect. It took quite some time to make my order. I think I waited maybe 15 minutes. Not as fast as I'd like, but not outrageously slow either. Didn't try the peanuts, but it's pretty cool they have them there. Probably helps the long wait seem shorter. Burger was great. Tasty ingredients, not too much or too little of anything. I got shrooms on mine and they were grilled perfectly. I really liked the burger. Fries, good god do they give you a lot. I got a small fry and it was probably 2 or 3 entire potatoes worth. Cajun seasoning was alright; I prefer more spice. These fries are very far into the "oily/soggy" side of the spectrum. I prefer crispy fries, but these weren't bad! Although, after a while, the amount of oil really starts to weigh you down. Feel it cloggin' up the ol arteries. But the real reason I gave it four stars is because there are no milkshakes. I feel like I didn't get the full Five Guys experience without a shake. The dang franchise was founded only 15 miles away, why no shakes? Anyways, that's my review as a Five Guys virgin. I'll probably swing by another location to check out them shakes. read more

This has been the worst location for me out of all the ones in the area. Two times they completely botched my order and then were hesitant to fix it. The first time they thought I was trying to scam them. The second time they argued that it was right, even though I showed them the receipt and the incorrectly made burger. On top of all that, they do a very poor job putting the burgers together. Everything falls apart the second you touch it and my bread was moist and soggy. The Chantilly Crossing location is by far the best one in the area. This one is definitely not one of the worst, along with Plaza America in Reston. read more

I don't have burgers often, so when I do I want a good one. This place has never failed - consistently good food and quality fries (way too many - a group can share a single serving - and never soggy). They have a pretty good turn-around time, friendly service, the place is clean, and I love that you can watch them make your food (and see their good food safety practices in effect). My *only* issue is that sometimes the music seems way too loud, but that isn't the norm. read more

Terrible attitude towards customers. I came from the movie theater across the street trying to get a burger before heading home, happy to see I made it to their unlocked door at 9:55 PM on 4/19 when their door says they close at 10 PM. The manager rudely told me they were already closed, I asked if they could honor their 10 PM closing time and they told me no, and then the manager said a joke about me to his staff who laughed as I left. How lovely! I worked the restaurant for industry for over 3 years and never would myself or co-workers have thought to refuse a customer service within the actual operating hours, we'd serve customers to the last second we were officially open! read more

This is our favorite location of Five Guys. We tend to go during off hours and we are always welcomed by the employees. The burgers and fries are always the "tasty taste". Yum! We purposely order large fries to bring some home for breakfast the next day with fried eggs. read more

I asked the cashier for the cajun seasoning on the side and she told me it was impossible because they make it with the fries. She was just very lazy and simply made up a dumb excuse to not get it for me because I have gotten it before and when I asked a second employee he handed it to me in a small container. The food is great. The main problem is the psychopath manager & few other workers who should be terminated from the store and be banned permanently. They tend to make the atmosphere feel unwelcoming and to not spend your money there. The poor rating for this five guys establishment is not for the food. It is for the absentminded staff that I have come across at this particular five guys. The burgers are as good as any five guys. Juicy, with a crispy bacon crunch, good bread, etc. The fries are also very good. Lots of hearty potato flavor with a nice crisp to them. However, I felt compelled to write a review after I have received two incorrect orders in a row. 2 weeks ago I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, only to get home and realize that they didn't give me any bacon... since bacon is an extra $.70 or so, I was quite displeased. I gave them another chance today, mentioning that the last time I went I didn't get bacon in my bacon cheeseburger, and they made no attempt to make that right, only stating that they would of course give me bacon in my bacon cheeseburger. I also ordered cajun fries. Well, I called ahead, and when I got there 10 minutes later, I see that they didn't even start cooking my order. They somehow missed it, when I was the only ticket in the window (and yes, the ticket was clearly in the window). To make matters worse, I got home and realized that they didn't make my fries cajun-style, where the receipt clearly states cajun fries. I've resisted going to a Five Guys for a while until this year. I really didn't think I would spend almost 5 dollars just for a Cheeseburger, not including the fries and drink, but I relented and went to see why people go. I also figured that due to inflation and all the quick serve joints costing upwards to 10 dollars a meal I should just give it a shot. They blast the music here so I could barely hear my number being called despite the place being nearly empty from just opening which probably is the best time to go. The free peanuts on the trash can are nice and make sure to grab a lot with your napkin to so you take some home. They put my cheeseburger at the bottom of the brown bag they give you and throw a ton of fries on the top of the little cup on the bottom. Their regular fries is like a super huge size compared to anywhere else. I had to dump half the fries out just to get my Cheeseburger which sort of felt like a small tinfoil ball compared to the heap of fries. The fries are great, but the burgers are just average. I figure I can eat a double at Wendy's and it would be just a slight notch down but adequate and a little cheaper. I have no clue why people compare all burgers to Inn and Out when their burgers are so small, you hardly taste the meat, and consists and tastes mostly of the other parts which are all fresh and quality controlled. I can sort of appreciate the Five Guys regular meat proportions include two patties, but I still don't think its worth 4 dollars and their cheeseburgers 5. If there were 3 patties I would say it's worth it. The burgers don't have any taste or secret seasonings unless you put some on them yourself. So its basically simpler going to the supermarket and cooking two patties at home. If you want an above average burger just go to Ruby Tuesdays. Anyhow I would go back just for the fries. read more

First, I'm glad that there's a Five Guys nearby and when I need a nice big burger and don't mind spending a little bit more to get more then I'll go to Five guys. This place can be packed OR you may be sitting there eating with 2 other people. It's really a hit or miss when it comes to this place. There's been a couple of times where I decided to go when the rest of the world decided they wanted Five Guys and I was absolutely miserable due to the fact that it took forever to place my order. However, on most occasions it's fine. I've always had a good experience with them as they pile on the toppings and make sure you leave with a nice greasy bag of burgers and fries. I have to admit that I've gone to plenty of Five Guys locations and this location doesn't have as much grease dripping from the bag so that's a plus. This location is clean and they try to keep the peanut shells to a minimum which is something that's appreciated. I notice little things like that. When it comes to parking everyone wants to be right in front but, due to the nature of the town center you may have to park in one of the other lots and walk for two minutes lol. When it comes to five Guys I am clearly in the minority, even in my own family. My kids love five guys, I would place them below Burger King(which I don't like). Their burgers are consistently dry and flavorless, because of my kids and people at work I have eaten at 5 different Five Guys the burgers are never any better then edible. The fact that though only cook their burgers "Well Done" indicates they do not trust their suppliers at all, and that bothers me given the price.Their toppings are quite good fresh and plentiful, except for onions which you have to ask for extra to get a couple. Never waited for longer than a few minutes for a delicious burger. Most of the time I'll bring my dog with me and wait outside. There's a gentleman who works here who will then nod at me when it's ready so it's not sitting on the counter while I'm outside. That's the extra step of customer service that I appreciate.
