Update. I don't know why it's so inconsistent here. I've been on and off for the past few years; unfortunately it's likely the last visit. As first visitors of the day, I expected it to be a lot better, but it was the opposite. Burger was lukewarm and cheese not even melted. Was disappointed to the point of contemplating bringing it back and asking for a fresh one. But like most of us, we just don't make a fuss and instead, simply don't come back. It honestly felt like a two star day today. I guess there was no reason to tip extra.

    Still have the free peanuts

I hadn't been to Five Guys in awhile but this location is about as good as it gets. The food was all hot and fresh and the staff was very friendly. They're constantly cleaning and wiping tables so everything was clean. Food is as good as ever but even the "Little Hamburgers" with one patty are over $10 and add a little more for bacon. At least you still get your choice of toppings included in the price. Fries are also hot and fresh and two can easily split a "Little Fries" even if you're both hungry. They also still have the in shell roasted peanuts so you can snack while waiting for you food. One annoying thing is the "optional tip" screen when you're paying for your food. Why am I de facto expected to tip at a fast food place when I haven't even gotten my food yet? I haven't been served yet so I'm not tipping for great service. Am I tipping so you won't drop my burger on the floor? Prices have gone up a lot since I was last here but this location is the Five Guys to check out for a fast and enjoyable meal.

Delivery review ahead!…read more I have not yet visited this place in person so I'm unsure how it is inside and how the service is. Delivery: well packaged for a long trip to DC and it remained fresh and hot. Food: Sweet potato tater tots El Lomo Saltado Both of these selections were AMAZING! The sweet potato tater tots were genius! Perfectly prepared, packing flavor in each bite. The El Lomo Saltado was DIVINE! Allow me to break down the flavors: Biscuit: gosh this biscuit was buttery and soft. And yes, the juices from the steak did not make it soggy. But back to the biscuit...the top was flaky and the inside was soft! Soft and buttery. Egg: I asked for a well done fried egg (the main dish contains over easy) the egg was perfectly cooked and delicious. Steak: the steak pieces were generous and the seasoning on the meat...dangerous! There was a slice of provolone cheese melted on the egg and the sandwich also contained pieces of potatoes and tomatoes inside. All of the flavors in this biscuit meshed together so well, making this a reallllllllllllllly good sandwich. Now I'm sold! What other fun dishes can I try on their menu?!

The Brooklyn bridge sandwich had so many grilled onions, lots of mayo and was the star of the meal. I will order this when I come back next time. Not the best I've ever had, but definitely good, and the fries were probably my favorite part. My boyfriend wasn't a huge fan of his order though, which was something along the lines of eggs, bacon and French toast. The ice cream seemed to be a really popular option and honestly looked good, but we decided to skip dessert since it was still pretty early in the day. I also noticed a little "Keep Austin Weird" sticker which made me smile. Clearly I keep finding little pieces of Austin everywhere I go in the DMV lol. Overall, I'd say it's worth checking out. We weren't completely blown away by everything we ordered, but I liked the vibe enough that we would definitely try it again just with different menu choices next time.

I love Blazin Chicken & Gyro! They serve it up differently than the typical Halal Guys-style shop -…read moreand different in the best way. Their proteins and fries are perfect, their salad is cold and crisp, and the execution of their rice is consistently the benchmark. First off though: the lighting is really harsh. It's Temu hexagonal 10000K bright white led honeycombs from blaze hell. The walls are primer black, and there are no paper towels in the bathrooms. Solution: I almost always get my food to-go. I flip flop between the Falafel Platter and the Mixed (Chicken + Lamb Gyro) Platter with the following no-charge mod: NO fries, MORE salad. This leaves the rice alone - you will get rice - and it is a very long grain, saffroned, Basmati rice that is distinctively al dente. Not fluffy or clumpy - they are highly separated and firm rice grains, and I absolutely love it this way. This rice blows the competition far and away. If you like fries, they are good - they're the double-fried "Burger King" style and keep their heat decently well in the to-go clamshell. The sauces are quite special. I like them all. I always ask for the following on-the-side (no zig-zags for me): the white (tahini-like), the green (cilantro), the red (spicy), the orange (signature Blazin spice). There are a couple of others, but I find these 4 create a nice balance. Oh and the late-night hours secure the 5-star rating. This can feel like the perfect late-night food - thanks to the owners for accommodating the late-night fans. Quickie review notes: The burger is just okay - the patty should be bigger. The Chopped Cheese is convincing, but not the best value item, IMO. The milkshakes are very tasty!

You can definitely find something here that you'll like. My go-to is The Loaded Philly and WOW. It's a Philly cheesesteak with onions and peppers, plus mozzarella sticks, chicken tenders, fries, and a homemade chipotle sauce all stacked together. It's messy, over-the-top, and absolutely delicious. Don't skip the Blazin Sunset drink either--half strawberry, half mango and super refreshing. Perfect balance to the savory food. If you're hungry and want something fun, flavorful, and different from the usual, this is the spot. I'll definitely be back (with extra napkins).

Chips and queso from Tex-Mex: check. Mission-style burrito from NorCal: check. Potatoes in the burrito plus fish tacos from SoCal: check. Regarding salsa, District Taco's offerings range from mild/sweet to a legitimately spicy habanero. In my nearest-by establishment, the venue is clean and easy to order from. But often I order take-out using the app, and I love its usability, in particular the ability to customize burritos (down to the detail of, for example, whether you want salsa in the burrito or not). To be honest, as a newcomer to the DMV from California (who has also spent time just across the Mexican border in both Arizona), I've not found my go-to spot for authentic Mexican cuisine. I would have given a 5 if it weren't for the shrinkflation on the meat and these other things. We remember the chips being awesome and plenty of meat and thick queso. Really disappointed.
