I have been here once before, but today is a long story how I ended up getting treated to a double Bacon cheeseburger with fries and a cherry shake, but both times have been phenomenal. First there is plenty of seating and it is always clean. It is on the noisy side, but I think it lends to the casual and hip atmosphere. There is all you can eat peanuts in the counter while you wait, but don't throw the shells on the floor! Some of you may get that! If you get fries to go, they throw the thickly sliced fresh fries on top of the rest of your order. Too fun. No one else dares to do that! But you can be sure you will get a lot of ketchup in the bag as well. Their cheeseburger was juicy, stacked high and cooked to perfection. The sesame seed bun is thick and spongy and holds up very well. They add pickles, lettuce, huge slices of tomato and mayo on it as well for a great flavor. The shake was authentic. The best outside of home made. There were pieces of cherry in it so you get bold flavor. Definitely a treat. As always, the staff had personality and you will have great conversation. It's like you have known each other forever. It seems to be like that at other locations. They do their best to get the order to you quickly. The service was nice but the food was super subpar. After paying an arm and two legs for my burger, fries, and to try their veggie melt I was very disappointed. The fries tastes like they had been drowned in grease for years and the veggie melt was not close to "melted" the bread was untasted and hard and the vegetables weren't even close to grilled as advertised. Every bite was amazing and so worth the price. My husband got the bacon cheeseburger and loved the fresh jalapenos in the burger. We got the Cajun fries and I thought it was too spicy for my taste but my husband loved it. The gave us a lot of fries and the fries were not soggy at all. But looks can be deceiving.... way too thick for the thin patty and tasted stale. might have been better if it was toasted. I called ahead to order this time, which I don't normally do. It took me 22 minutes to get there after I ordered. When I did, the order was ready. We got it and then started eating it when we got home. My wife ordered a hot dog, and got it.... Cut up and on a bun... We've never seen a hotdog served that way, it's weird. The other burgers were cooked much more than I've ever had at five guys and were not juicy. They seemed to me more like a really good Burger King burger than a five guys one, which is a good few tiers below what I was hoping for. It was fresh and juicy, just melts in your mouth. The fries were also fresh and really good. The staff are always pleasant and courteous. And the establishment is also clean and bright. For a burger with no meal I paid 12 dollars, five dollars for a small fry which was soggy, 4 dollars for a drink which was the only thing that was done correctly. My burger was flavorless and disappointing to say in the least. I wouldn't recommend this five guys since I've been to many before that were much better tasting for the crazy prices read more

I really like the burgers. I wish there was a drive through because with a mobility disability, just getting into the restaurant and waiting in line is a whole ordeal. The doors and handicap parking and seating dont coordinate well for me on a rough day. I have chosen not to go before because of this. The food is so expensive, I can get table service elsewhere and spend less, but its delicious. The restaurant is always somewhat dirty. I dont like having to find the cleanest table. I dislike how the seating is set up where most people are sitting close to each other. They upgraded their drink machine to the smart coke machines. The counter service is always great and friendly. They really need to have someone sweeping the floor and cleaning the tables a bit more. read more

We visited the Harker Heights restaurant today 11/23/20 and upon entering we were enthusiastically greeted by the staff. My wife had never been to a Five Guys so the gentleman at the counter took the time to explain everything to her. The food was perfect, the restaurant was very clean but what impressed me the most was the staff. As the lunch rush was starting each member of this team seemed very engaged, wanted to be there and we're having a good time with it. Ok let me start off by saying that I do not eat beef often, so when my SIL decided that she wanted us to go here with her I was a little weary. I have heard that the original location somewhere in the D.C. area is the best! I hope it was better than this location. The burger was BLAND to say the least and the fries were too salty. It's hard to believe that a few years ago a younger President Obama with no grey hair pulled his family and security entourage over to have some burgers and fries. Since then I have been coming to the red and white checker theme restaurant for a greasy peanut oil burger every now and then with seasoned cajun fries. I'm not much for burgers so let's get that out first, but occasionally I treat myself to a good cheeseburger. Walking in the air is cool from the summer heat and with a mix of pop music from The Police and others dating back to good time rock. You can order your burger the way you want with all the toppings listed on the easy to read menu. I ordered regular size cheese burger mine with lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, mushrooms, grilled jalapeños and hot sauce. With seasoned fries and a large drink it comes out to a pricy $11.99. Or you can order a smaller burger. Still the experience of a cheese burger that's not really on my menu of daily foods is a treat. You won't regret licking the seasoning off your fingers like an animal as long as they're hot because for some reason they get cold really fast. The wait for your food is average, so in the meantime you can eat all the free peanuts located throughout the restaurant. After leaving here if you're like me you'll feel guilty and want to go run off this food. Lol. Note that for some reason I feel like I can order a milkshake sitting here in this cool atmosphere but nothing like that on the menu. Five Guys Burger and Fries makes the best hamburgers I've ever had! My new all time favorite! Cooked in peanut oil, so if you have a peanut allergy beware. The price is high, ~ $7 for a double bacon cheeseburger. But totally worth it. Burgers are big and juicy. Vegetables are fresh and crunchy/juicy I've never been impressed with the Cajun fries, and afraid to try the regular fries. But they continue to get rave reviews on their fries so you'll probably like them. Cherry Coke from the dispenser is a major plus! Plenty of salted peanuts to enjoy for free as you wait for your food. And fun fan crayon drawings are always posted up to a board. Something fun for kids and even adults. Five Guys posts up all the awards and national recognition they've received. And they deserve it. All Five Guys Burgers restaurants are good and this one is exceptional. First of all, there is no children's menu and when I asked what do they have for my 2 year old, they tried to sell me a $8 hot dog combo. Then the real shock came when the cashier told me my total. $48.00 for 3 adults and a 2 year old. You don't serve someone's lunch in paper bags and charge them fine dinning rates. This place is just about the money and they will not be getting mine again. Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers are just as delicious.
