My 2-year-old loved the playground and he was able to play on all of it confidently without me following him around every second to make sure he doesn't walk off a ledge. Burgers were good, not great. My husband really enjoyed his bacon royale. I got the Cowboy and it was good but didn't have much barbeque sauce which resulted in it being kind of dry. I'll try the regular burger next time with condiments of my choosing. Fries were good. Chicken nuggets were EXCELLENT. They do serve beer and wine. We had wildly different pours on the wine. Stopped for lunch after shopping first time here. Very nice set up they have an outside eating area along with a play scape for the Children. My wife had the #1,Little Hat with Bacon and loved it. I was looking forward to trying Hat Creek, but it fell flat. Both figuratively and literally, as the burgers were so flat. That was the first thing my friend and I remarked when we got our burgers. It was like they compressed the burgers. We both got the Little Hat, which is the only hamburger option with a single beef patty. It tasted like an average burger. I also got a cookies & cream milkshake, which was okay as well. Not enough cookie pieces as I would have liked. The milkshake and burger came out to $12 total, which seemed steep for the quality and amount of food. I did like how they have three different sauces that are unique to their restaurant. The wait was longer than we anticipated as there was no line to order, but it took a while for our food to be ready. First time at this place and hearing of it, so we decided to eat here for dinner. Overall, it was nice experience, not too loud, not too busy, and the workers seemed to be getting along and not arguing -as other establishments have done. The price, in my opinion for "just" the burger is a little on high side and to make it a combo it is an additional $4.99. So, one is looking at around $14-$15 for a meal. One can argue it's the "inflation" (maybe. It is) but a complete meal should not be more than $12.00 and if just wanting a burger should be no more than $6-$8. A way, that's my opinion and to each their own. The fries are seasoned just the right amount, actually very tasty. I would come again and maybe sit outside to see how that is compared to inside with the A/C. read more

We rolled in on a Wednesday night to grab a quick bite and let the kids play. 45 minutes later we received our warm 4 burgers and 4 orders of cold, half full orders of sweet potato fries. Upon arrival we were greeted by a friendly employee. She was very polite and friendly. The restaurant was nice and roomy. The food was OK. I was so looking forward to eating here. We ordered online and it said it would take about 45 min. We arrived wit 30 minutes to spare. I went in to order some loaded queso fries and was told they were out of queso! I explained we had a large order with queso fries and tots. I gave her my name for the order and she asked the manager and he just shook his head and said he didn't have an order for that name! I waited to talk with him but he never acknowledged me standing there. I checked my app and it still showed the order and had changed my credit card. I stood there for about 10 min while the sweet lady kept apologizing and telling me it should be ok. I went back to my car and waited. I was wanting to know what they were going to do about our Queso fries and tots and got no answer. Went back in and they had found my order and I checked out! They had some how come up with Queso for the fries and tots. Ok, now the food. We had 6 burgers of different types! They were cold and the buns were hard and dry! The fries were soggy and cold. Visited for the first time on a Sunday around noon and there was no line! We were welcomed as soon as came in. There were no many good options but we went with the Classic and the Southwest! The burgers came out in about 5 minutes and they were so delicious! The burgers were juicy and tender! Definitely recommend the tator tots for the extra crispy texture. It was about 53 degrees outside but the outdoor seating was covered and felt fine. It's very kid friendly and there's even a playground for them in the back. Also, I love that there are outdoor sinks to wash your hands after you're done eating! Parking lot is spacious and the restaurant is conveniently located by Walmart. I really want to like this place as the business model is great in theory but the quality and consistency is unpredictable. I took my kids here on my own a couple of weeks ago and we enjoyed ourselves despite waiting a while, so I brought my husband and parents back with me Tuesday night. We waited nearly an hour for our food. They greatly prioritize the drive thru over dining in. The food was salted so aggressively, to the point where it hurts your tongue to eat it. I hope this isn't normal for them and it was just an off night but whoever was cooking on Tuesday the 4th of November needs some serious coaching on quality control and honestly shouldn't even be allowed in a kitchen. Hats off to Hat Creek. Been here many times and it is always great! There are lots of options for burgers, sandwiches, even salads and the best sides. The menu is paleo, vegetarian, and gluten free friendly so anyone can find something to enjoy. My personal favorites are the Big hat burger, buffalo tossed chicken nuggets, and sweet potato fries with hat sauce. Ordered a big hat combo and a little hat combo and a kids shake, at 5:27 pm. The shake came out at 5:40 pm. Our food didn't arrive until 6: pm. Over 40 minutes for our food to arrive and the shake was melted. The highlight of this experience was when we finally got our food I asked the server if I could get a new shake, he then tosses it in the trash can area and stomps off.
