Let me start by saying that I'm a 5 Guys burger fan over In-N-Out. We ordered for carryout and it was nearly ready when I got there to pick it up. I got home and was disappointed in the overall experience. One burger didn't have the lettuce requested and it was VERY pink in the middle, so underdone. Another burger was supposed to have grilled onions and grilled mushrooms and neither were grilled. Also the green pepper requested wasn't even sliced completely through we got 4 slices still attached at the bottom and just slid in there in a big old chunk. I'm used to having so many fries in a regular order that I normally order a small but with 3 of us we went for regular and the cup was all we got, no overflow into the bag. Overall, very disappointing. No wonder this place wasn't full with business like nearby restaurants all were. Some improvement is definitely needed. read more

THE BEST CHAIN RESTAURANT BURGER JOINT EVER. The food is pricey, but you get what you pay for. If you want a cheap burger then stick to the dollar menu. If you want a great burger meal then you go here. The ingredients are all freshly cut and prepared right in front of you. My girlfriend has celiac disease (an autoimmune disease triggered by gluten) and when we come to visit the area she's limited as to where she can eat safely. Five Guys Burgers and Fries is an amazing restaraunt. Every time I go in I always find it nearly spotless and the staff are outstanding as well. The staff are friendly and very helpful. I usually get the Double Bacon Cheeseburger with fries and a large drink. Now you can get something similar in name at Jack-in-the-Box as well, but Five Guys clearly have the superior burger! Jack-in-the-Box and Five Guys are both Fast Food joints, but Jack-in-the-Box is clearly more FAST than FOOD. Five Guys is just the opposite. Sure, they're a fast food place, but they actually take the time to prepare the food right in front of you whereas other places have them frozen in the back. Now as for the pricing... At about $16 my order may sound a little expensive, and sure I'd like them to come down a couple of dollars, but what you expect and what you get are two totally different things. For this seemingly small amount of food, even I have a hard time putting it all down in one sitting. So in all, yes their prices may get a little expensive but what I see there is fresh food and people having a good time. What that means is... I can't wait to return! read more

Burgers were ok. I'm not a fan of sweet pickles, so that wasn't great. The Cajun fries were bland. Iced tea from concentrate instead of brewed (even though the sign on the dispenser says "Home Brewed Taste." Two bigger issues, however: (1) $25 for two burgers with small fries and drinks is crazy and (2) it was obvious the tables hadn't been wiped down in days- we ate lunch early before very many people were there and the tables had dried gunk all over them. Not just a few tables either, every single one that was empty that I looked at was gross. I basically had to pick the cleanest dirty table and roll with it. I won't be back. A good friend has been telling me to try them as their better than In N Out, my wife wasn't impressed & told me they were ok. So I finally tried them & I was impressed (not better than In N Out by any means) they burger was really good especially the fresh jalapeños, I like that you can add as many toppings as you want at no charge, which is good given this place is pretty pricey. The fries I'm very picky when it comes to fries & the Cajun fries were really good. The atmosphere was nice (really liked the 80's & 90's era music), staff was friendly, & the place was clean. The burger was juicy and the meat tasted fresh. The french fries were from freshly cut potatoes and tasted delicious. All of the veggies on the burger also tasted fresh, and they have lots of toppings to choose from (grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, grilled jalepenos and peppers, just to name a few). I wasn't impressed by the grilled cheese sandwich, though. I placed my order online so it was almost ready by the time I went to pick it up. I have heard a lot about 5 guys and was very excited to get a chance to try them out! We walked in and were cheerfully greeted and enthusiastically given a detailed explanation of the menu and how to order. My husband and I both had bacon cheeseburgers, two drinks, and shared an order of fries. The burgers were delicious...prepared exactly as we ordered them, with a generous serving of fresh, crisp vegetables. The huge portion of fries were crispy and I LOVED the cajun seasoning (not very hot at all if you're wondering). The coolest thing about our experience was the staff. There were two guys there when we ordered, and they were just super nice, and seemed to really be enthusiastic about their job, their company and the product. Four more employees arrived while we were eating, and they were the same way... just a really great team that loved their job. Just really impressive! You just don't see that very often. I've heard lots of hype about how good Five Guys burgers are and how they have great fries as well. I decided to give them a try. I was not impressed. The single (little) burger is $4.39. It is a small burger, and there was nothing special about it. On the up side, the toppings were fresh. The little fries are $2.79 and not worth it. They were served hot, a very good thing, but they were soggy and greasy. McDonalds & Freddy's have MUCH better fries. I wouldn't refuse to eat here if a friend wanted to come here, though I would probably try to persuade him/her to go elsewhere. I certainly won't return on my own. Very disappointing. read more

Ok, we've been eating Five Guys across the U.S. since 2009, which includes LA, Seattle, Baltimore Harbor, BWI airport, ATL airport; downtown Atlanta; Greenville SC and so on. Tonight we decided to use our 'Friday Night splurge' on the Heights Market location and it was by far the worst experience we've had!! The key word is 'by far'. The tomatoes and lettuce taste old and the burger all together was poorly put together. The franchise boast about the fries and the large portion; however, they were cold and just fit within the small cup!! We've been to this location about 3× before, but are inside. I guess the same effort and quality is not put into 'To-go' customers. There's nothing worst than getting all the way back home to find garbage in a bag. Plus it was storming outside!!! For so long my boyfriend and I literally ate at everything in market heights but at Five Guys! For so long we pushed this place to the side, it wasn't even a thought.. then... we finally decide to try here... and turns out we've eaten at this exact place 3 times in the past week. I can honestly say it's the best yet! The Cajun fries and the juicy-to-die-for burgers, as well as the great customer service from each of the staff is definitely something we look forward to every single time. We highly recommend this place!!!!! Don't knock it until you try it. It's a no frills joint indeed. Service is so-so our cashier seemed like he had worked too many hours that we and was a bit unnerved. The place was packed I'm assuming because it was6:30 on a Friday night when we went. There is a wait til to get your food . But don't despair you can much on free in shell peanuts while you wait. If you can find what trash can they are sitting on top of. I had the little bacon cheese burger, hubby has the big bacon cheeseburger loadedup the differnce between the two one is a single and the other a double. They were both rather large burgers though baby had grilled cheese. We also split a reg order of fries. The burgers were hit and miss mine was ok while hubbys was awesome. Grilled cheese was just that grilled cheese. They DO NOT have kids meals and every item is ordered seperatly. The burgers tasted fresh but the fries tasted burnt to me. Hubby thought they were just a bit over cooked but not burnt. You get your order in a brown papersack I'm assuming to help soak up the grease from the fries. A nice idea. Anyhow over all I'd say it was pretty goodnot the best I've had and definately not the worst . If your wanting a burger that doesn't taste proccessed this is the place for you but a warning first its not cheap for a single person to get a complete meal with burger fries and drink is gonna set u back atleast 11 bucks. read more
