So this five guys location is clean and the staff are super friendly. I still don't get the hype of five guys but the food was ok . I ordered a burger and fries and my son a burger and fries and a strawberry milkshake and my son a soft drink and it came up to 47 dollars. But that milkshake was so absolutely good. This was our first time here. a little pricey, but the burgers and fries were fantastic! However, we will not be visiting this particular one ever again and honestly may keep us from going in any of them. Place was a little dirty and employee working on the floor was very unprofessional. Not something a business wants to represent them. My husband was approached by her when he came out of the restroom accusing him of smoking in the bathroom. First of all...there was an employee that left the bathroom before he went in and why would he do that? All he has to do is go outside. There was an employee in the bathroom before him. It makes more sense that they would do such a thing. I'm sorry, but that was really uncalled for and rude. I've always heard good things from other, so I had to try it out for myself. I'm a potatoe head and I just love fries -- The burgers are OK which seem like homemade burgers. (Pricy too but it's a very large burger) The burger junk does have combo meals or anything like that; everything is purchase separately. ***Remember this isn't McD's or Burger King -- it actually reminds me of "Steak N' Shake. I highly suggest not taking little kids here because sizes are larger than normal and this would be burgers and fries you wouldn't want to waste. I purchase a "Little bacon burger" and "Cajun fries" (small which is really like a large which came up to an estimate of $8.00. I agree with Chris L. review regarding rating... Ordered at 734 pm on Sunday, February 14th. One cheeseburger and one regular fry, for carryout. Took 45 minutes to have my order completed. Unacceptable and probably will never return. It was slightly busy, but staff showed no signs of urgency to get orders out. For $12.49 and 45 minutes of my time, I could've dined in to a way better sit down establishment. This place has really gone downhill. They used to have great food! I went here about a month ago and just thought it was a fluke that the food was bad. I ordered online today and went to pick up my food. People who ordered when I walk and got their food before me, so what's the point? There are a lot of new burger spots popping up in the area adding a new element of competition as burger lovers now the option to pick and choose where they will grab this all american classic. Having tried many, one of my top choices remains a local installation of a national chain, Five Guys. When you walk in what you first notice is the bright decor in a red and white theme with signs all around touting the claim of "best burger" as evidenced by numerous national awards. Next, no matter what location you visit you'll almost always see large bags of peanuts to snack on while you wait or eat. To many, this seems misplaced, but I've been told that this is to alert those with peanut allergies that the fries are cooked in 100% peanut oil. And now that I've mentioned the fries let me just say that they are my absolute favorite around. I actually find myself craving them about once a week. Available regular or Cajun seasoned, they are fresh cut daily and Five Guys makes sure you know where the day's potatoes are from via prominently posted signs. Even the smallest order of fries comes in an individual serving sized cup, but the cooks always add a n extra big scoop of fries that overflow the cup and spill into the bottom of the bag. Don't forget to sprinkle on a little malt vinegar at the condiment station. Yum!! I think one of the the things that puts Five Guys at the top of my list of burger joints is that the burgers are prepared fresh (not from frozen) right in full view in front of you. You get your pick of a single or double patty and tons of different toppings including traditional items, but also some not so standard things like green peppers, jalapenos or A-1 steak sauce - again all fresh. Not a burger lover? Don't fret. There are other non-burger selections like hot dogs, grilled cheese sandwiches, BLTs and a veggie sandwich. Not as good as the Detroit location! We dropped in at 11:30am Sunday morning, and, surprise, no lines. When we left there were at least a dozen people standing in line to order, so we must have gotten there at the perfect time. Tried the regular flavored fries this time, and we liked them better. I must admit I missed the cajun spice a bit, but they were still nice and hot. Needed to add salt. I had what I'm now calling 'the Liz' = double cheeseburger with mayo and grilled mushrooms. These mushrooms looked more canned than the Detroit ones (I bet they're no different though). Waaaay too much mayo. I wiped off what equated to 3T of mayo and the bun still slip slid around. The cheese wasn't melted (and at the D location, the whole burger was a melted masterpiece). Ken tried a single cheeseburger, also 'the Liz'zed up. His had less mayo, and I think I actually liked the single patty better than the double. He also got a hotdog with mustard and onions. They split the hotdog, and the bun was not attached at the bottom, so this was a hot mess on tinfoil. read more

I have only used DoorDash and this is the location they pick up the food from, but my food is always amazing! I am hesitant to order from a lot of places on DoorDash just because the quality of the food is usually not as great as if you'd go in. I work a lot, however, and most of the time I can't escape to pick up food. My order is always right, and the food is still piping hot when it gets to me! I have no complaints. The portions (especially fries) are always very generous and extremely tasty. Haven't been here in a little while now, but the last couple times we had a great, energetic gentleman keeping the place lively while firing up the burgers. I hope he's still there, because he's great, and made it impossible to leave there without a grin on your face. The food is great; I enjoy the amount of fries they give, and the burgers are cooked to perfect order, and they know how to put it together right no matter how oddball the topping order is; I get bbq sauce and mayo and they do not get mushed together, so I am able to get both flavors. And as a fan of the drink, that they have Pibb here is just another reason to come, assuming Dr. Pepper hasn't muscled it out since I was there last. Definitely worth the trip every time, and I'm hoping to be back real soon. read more

So I heard great things about this place so I was expecting great things when I went here. First off if you have a peanut allergy (I don't) you can't eat anything fried here because it's all done with peanut oil. Second, it's unnecessarily greasy. Third, for what you get it's waaaay overpriced. For four people each getting a burger (single patty), fries, and a drink -our bill was almost fifty bucks. Not cool for fast food. They gave us our fries heaped together in a big paper bag and they were soggy and gross with oil, not crispy or even thoroughly cooked. My burger had the normal toppings on it and then - surprise - some greasy mushrooms from a can dumped on top that once I took one bite began shooting out of the bun and all over the table. The burger was greasier than Brays and that should tell you something... We all left with stomach aches and by the time I got home I was running for the bathroom. I could have saved myself the pain and money and not eaten at all. I don't know if all the Five Guys are like this, but if they are- I cannot for the life of me figure out why everyone gives them such great reviews. read more

Well we went to Five Guys for lunch today (which just opened). After hearing much positive feedback about FGB&F this was my first visit to one, so I did not know what to expect. First thing I noticed was it was very busy, which is to be expected, after all it is new. The next thing that stood out was the noise level, we were met by a greeter that gave us a slip of paper and screamed out some info about how to order. I looked over at my colleague and almost in stereo we both said...what the heck did she say? The next part of noisy was the people behind the counter screeching out (NUMBER FIFTY ONE, FIFTY TWO...). There was music playing at a pretty decent volume, and with all the masses dropping by to see the new shiny spanking new place, the noise level was higher than what I like my lunch hour to be. So I ordered the regular burger, small fries and small drink and guess what...more than 10 bucks! I think this is just ridiculous, $10 bucks for fast food is unacceptable! Ok ok enough griping...now for the good: They offered peanuts while in line. The burger was VERY VERY GOOD The fries (which should have been shared between two people) were very good as well, but I threw away half of them...was too full! So the bottom line...a regular cheeseburger (two patties) with the works (all toppings included in the same price) was 5.50, the small fries were $2.70 and the drink was just under $2, provided a meal that was plentiful and tasty, but simply too expensive! I may go back, but it will not be a regular thing! I give 7 stars for flavor I subtract 1 for noise, and 3 for crazy price...leaving us with 3 stars for Five Guys! read more

I love eating at Five Guys. Just not this one. The Livonia location is very careless with their orders. This is the second time they have messed up our orders. The waitstaff was careless and rude in our most recent visit. We specifically told them two burgers with different varying toppings as combo meals. When we got to the restaurant they had the receipt printed for two burgers but only gave us the one. My husband corrected the issue which resolved in us waiting another fifteen minutes. Then once we had gotten home we found that our burgers had the toppings that we ordered on the burgers but some of the toppings were switched onto the wrong burger. I won't make the mistake of going here again and will go to the one in Canton who has gotten my order right every time I have been there. Like I said, love Five Guys. But not this one. read more

Stopped in for the first time a couple of nights ago with my wife. Each had the single patty burger and we split a regular fry. Did not get a greasy burger as others have stated and our fries were out of this world. Like the fact that burgers are cooked fresh when ordered. Little bit more of a wait then a "fast food" joint but much better food. Like the peanuts you can eat while you wait. Probably really a 3.5 if you wanna be anal about it. Bittersweet trip because my primary emotion after eating here was just to wish that much more we had an In-N-Out burger out here. I almost walked right back out as there were 30+ people in line. But I had managed to order and finish eating my burger in less than 25 minutes so that turned out not to be a real problem. The cheeseburger I had on the whole was very good. I like the variety of toppings for the burgers. My first combo was grilled mushrooms, grilled onions, tomatoes, green peppers, with A-1and hot sauce. Can't get that combo at any other burger joint and it turned out to be great. The patties were juicy and tasty and really hit the spot. Sorry Masons this burger was way better than yours and would have been so with just the cheese and the meat on it alone. One thing I didn't care for was the bun seemed a little doughy to me which should have been difficult to get that sensation on a double patty burger. But even with all that meat it seemed a little too bread-y and starchy bite after bite. The fries were totally schizophrenic for me. I ordered a sm Cajun fries and the quantity was huge and the fries very well cooked and obviously freshly made. Problem was the Cajun crap they put on them sucked balls. The Cajun salt is basically Lawrys seasoning salt with a hint of Cajun spices. It was super salty and nasty with the Cajun accents coming out in the worst way possible. I would have been 10 times happier just getting regular fries and putting vinegar on them. It's pricier than BK and McD's but that's the exact theme of the place (and In-N-Out) so take it for what it is. If you save a few bucks by just ordering a water the price for a meal here is totally worth it IMHO. What would seriously power up my orgasmotron would be to get a Double Double Animal style at In-N-Out with the fries from Five Guys. Do they exist across the street from each other anywhere? This is one of those places that's never quite as good as you want it to be. The burgers are just ok - a little too pricey for what you get in terms of flavor, quality and quantity. It's not bad, but I don't understand why people rave about the burgers. The Cajun fries are usually pretty damned good, though. And they give you so many of them... it's one of the only saving graces to this place, and it earns them an extra star. They also have malt vinegar for the fries, which is a bonus. I love the fact that I can get a burger cooked to order here. The big burger chains don't have that. I love the fact that the burgers are juicy and flavorful with a nice crisp char on it. The big burger chains have bland tasteless burgers that you really need the sauces to give them flavor. I love how you can choose any combination of toppings for your burger for free. A lot of the big burger chains don't give you that kind of selection; in fact, some of them charge you extra for certain toppings. I love how you can choose not only the size of your fries order, but the seasoning on it as well. The Five Guy's seasoning is good. The Cajun style seasoning is awesome. The heat builds on you, but it isn't overpowering. And it is always nice that the fries come in a cup which overflows into the bag. They give you so much for what you pay. And I love how they have the soda machines which allow you to select the flavors of soft drink that you want from a much larger list of flavors than what most of the big chain burger joints will offer you. They even have an ice tea machine which gives you a larger selection of ice teas than what most of the large burger chains chains offer. And the last time that I was there, there was a really long line which the staff was able to clear in a surprisingly short time. And all the while, the cashier was friendly and pleasant. read more

We had heard bad things about the one that opened up by us so we had never tried Five Guys before but have seen them showing up nearly everywhere.
