Our fries were overflowing in the bag which I'm not complaining about. My double bacon cheeseburger was great, just what I was expecting. Walked away full with fries left over! My only issue with Five Guys has always been the same, their cheese. I really wish they would use some better quality but the restaurant is always crowded so America must like it. Five Guys makes a good burger and great Cajun fries. While it's good, it's not the best burger I've ever had, and if you order it to go, be aware, the bun will get soggy! It gets soggy pretty quickly but that is because it is a very juicy burger. Messy food is always the yummier though, right? So plan to eat it in the store for the best experience. They use a great fry sauce and I really like that they allow you to pick any number of toppings you'd like. That being said, it is a surprisingly expensive burger! It truly is overpriced and the sticker shock will keep me away, to be honest. Wow Five Guys, $40 for a hot dog, a burger and 1 large fry. App wouldn't let us order online and let us pick up our order. We had to use grub hub. Got charged for a service fee, delivery fee and a tip but we didn't get our fries. When we called Five Guys they told us to call grub hub which I would like to remind you we didn't want to use in the first place and when I asked a question they hung up on me. Of course Grub hub gave us a refund for the fries but no refund for the service fee, delivery fee, or tip you charged us and left us still hungry and you did not add all of my condiments that I requested on my burger. Went in today at 1130am 12-13-24. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, cheeseburger. Little cheeseburger and bacon dog. I have ordered bacon cheeseburger 3 other times and have gotten home to realize they didn't put the bacon in the sandwich but charged me for it. As I paid for my meal today I asked the cashier to please make sure that my burger had the bacon because the last 3 visits I didn't get my bacon I paid for. The little asshole rolled his eyes and said ya sure. Well guess what!!! I left no tip for a reason and boy am I glad I didn't. I started checking my order as soon as I got it, I got 2 sandwiches in when the bitch cooking the burger says oh sorry i forgot the bacon let me get it for you. She didn't forget. She knew before I got to my sandwich that it wasn't there. She then sarcastically says have a nice day. I don't know if this location has changed management or what, but I'm not going here anymore. I used to eat here every week, but the customer service has really gone down hill. Often when I call in my order, I'm put on indefinite hold and then when I get there, they have a habit of forgetting about my call-in order and my food will get cold. Also, they have skimped on the fries several times in the last 6 months and they didn't used to do that. This with their higher prices, I just don't want to go to this location anymore. P.S. We still love Five Guys food. But I recommend the Layton Location. (2065 N Harris Blvd.) They still have great customer care and they make the burgers way better! read more

I tried Burger Bar recently and there is no comparison between the freshness of the food! Five Guys cooks it from scratch every order, not fries sitting in a fryer too long or burgers warmed up ready to be "heated" on a grill for a minute. Nope! They are proud to do fresh and you can absolutely taste the difference! Excellent burger! Have to say one of my top 5 favorites and I've tried a lot of burger places. The atmosphere is fun and clean too and customer service was as expected. Only complaints: 1- loud screaming music over the intercom. VERY LOUD screaming music. I tried calling to get the issue resolved and they put me on hold for more than 20 minutes just messing around in the kitchen and talk about their personal life situations and not doing their job. I could hear everything they said. They never came back on the phone. They completely messed my whole order up. Each burger had something different on it and they all gave me the same exact cheeseburger with only ketchup. Which was not at all what I ordered. I'm super disappointed in how they handled this. My wife and I ordered on their mobile app from home. The mobile app said it would take ~8 minutes for our food to be ready for pickup so we thought it would be ready by the time got there. WRONG. After approaching the counter the person said "name is here." We then proceeded to sit in their dining area for 35 minutes, watching as 6 people who came in after us got their order in less than 10 minutes. Finally my wife got up and said something and they then made our order, and STILL forgot the milkshake I had ordered. Go out the front door and you're in a very lively part of the city by the Megaplex theatre, Fat Cats, and tons a few shops and bars to explore; out the back door and you're on Washington Blvd and only a 5 minute walk away from historic 25th street. This restaurant has the potential to be one of my favorites. If you are looking for something quick and delicious, five guys is the place for you. If you are willing to pay for it. I love the atmosphere of this restaurant. The kitchen is in plain view so it's comforting being able to see everything's that's happening to your food. The service is great! The employees are always super friendly and even joke and laugh with you if you want. I've always gotten my food quickly and just as I ordered it. And in this particular visit they gave us a free bag of Cajun fries because they had extra. It's nice to know that they really care about their customers. Their restaurant is always clean and they do a good job of wiping the tables down. Cleanliness is a big deal to me so I appreciate it when business value it as much as I do. The price however is the reason I'm giving four stars. It definitely leaves something to be desired. I'm not sure if the value is there if I'm honest. Because of how expensive their burgers are I only visit the restaurant once every few months at most and I work right across the street. You can't get a full meal (Burger, drink, and fries) for under $10. Which isn't how fast food is supposed to be. Their food is good though, so people will pay it. But I think if they lowered their price by a dollar on everything they would get a lot more business. I will always go back for more, but just not as often as I would like. I like Five Guys. Sure, it's just a burger but the concept of the place makes it a big winner in my book. Here's what I love: Peanuts. They don't go with burgers and there is no reason why they serve them. What they DO do is keep you busy while waiting for your food. Time passes much faster on the wait for your burger when you are shelling peanuts. I do feel bad for the poor person that has to sweep. Not an easy task. Stuff. You can get lots of stuff on your burger. Mushrooms, grilled onions, peppers, etc, all at the same price. Other places either up charge or don't offer good stuff on their burgers. Fries. Hand cut, greasy, and plentiful. A regular fry easily feeds two and possibly 3 people. Regular or Cajun or, if you're feeling crazy, they will give you a cup of the seasoning so you can mix it to your own level of butt-kicking. The actual burger, the part that comes from the cow, is awesome. Grilled and extremely fatty. If you're looking for healthy burgers, these aren't it (and I don't think I really want to call you my friend.). These ooze good grease in to the bun and make for good, sloppy burgers. My 1st visit to 5 guys and I appreciated being able to order ahead and set a pick up time for later. It was easy to navigate their order process and they do offer all the great toppings. I ordered over 30 mins before I scheduled to pick up my order yet when I arrived 5 mins after scheduled time I still had to wait at least 5 mins for my order to be finished. I think the burger was priced pretty well but the fries seemed a bit over priced. I have not tried the large I ordered a regular, the Cajun spice was great! Those are my only issues...the staff is very friendly and the dining area was clean. Update - I was contacted by the friendly manager Amanda who explained that all fry orders are made fresh once customer has arrived to pick up their order so as to be as fresh and enjoyable as possible. There were more employees working than customers in the store! So why did it take 10 for a single hot dog? I was told there were no hot dog buns and to make up for it, they would give me a free drink - than charged me for a drink. WTF!!! I had high hopes for this place and had heard great things about it, but unfortunately it was a disappointment. First I don't like the idea of not being able to have just a bacon quarter pounder, although that might be what the kids hamburger is. I didn't check. Second, even though I asked for it all the way, that means with all of the items that are in black in their sign (Mayo, ketchup, tomato, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, mustard and pickles) it was a very dry hamburger. The patties were dry and under seasoned and they did not seem like they were quarter pounder patties. The bread began falling apart by the second bite. The fries were great. They taste like homemade fries and I love the fact that they leave the skin on. The fry sauce was also good. First let's set the record straight...the staff was comprised of 3 women and only 2 guys, not 5 ;) Five Guys certainly makes the list of Top 5 Burger Joints in Ogden. The location is super clean, inside and out. And as a father of 5, I greatly appreciate the complimentary peanuts, note cards and crayons that keep the little ones busy while we wait for our number to be called - which isn't usually all that long anyway. Five Guys takes a different approach to burgers than most fast food restaurants. Instead of a premise burger that comes with everything (maybe a whopping 4-5 ingredients) and the customer removes ingredients, you start with a blank canvas and are able to add the ingredients of your choice (there's about 15), not to mention "Fry Sauce" if you're in Utah. So instead of some teenager building the same burger over and over again, and messing up anytime someone asks to have an ingredient removed, you get a burger made to order, perfect every single time. Literally, I've eaten there like 30 times, with lots of people on my ticket, and the order is always 100% right. Customer service at this location is fabulous. The people there are adults who actually seem to enjoy what they do, which I feel is rare in fast food. I'm assuming this is do to the great atmosphere and decent pay. Today we hit lunch at the tail end of a rush. We were asked by one employee, "I ended up with some extra fries, do you want them?" Sure getting free fries (try their Cajun fries btw) is awesome. But this is just another sign of the care they take to provide quality food and a consistent experience. Instead of letting them deteriorate under the heat lamp for the next lunch rush, he hooked up customers while simultaneously clearing space to make fresh fries for those to come. Five Guys is certainly pricier than McDonald's, Burger King or In-N-Out, but hey, you get what you pay for. Plan on spending $10 on burger and fries, and a couple more for a drink. Ok so I literally work right across the street from this location, so its kind of hard to ignore the fact that its sitting there taunting me through the window. Just the knowledge of their fries and burgers existence often puts me in the situation of longing for it throughout my work day.. Although distracting, I think its a good thing for their business. I love the burgers here. You have the choice to really dress them up how you want them. Adding more options to the menu wouldn't be a bad idea. I remember all the same ingredients from years ago. There may be one more but I think they should mix it up a bit and explore more options as far as burger toppings go. I love watching them make my burger. Theres a certain comfort of know that my burger has not been tampered with by ill-mannered employees who are just looking for an excuse to get fired. They give you a stupid amount of fries. Have gotten takeaway a few times here, and never been satisfied. The burgers are generally tasty, but overcooked to the point of dryness. Toppings are nowhere near as generous as other reviews would lead you to believe, and my most recent time there (which will be my last), I had called ahead to pick up a burger on my lunch break from work. All the correct toppings were on the receipt, but when I got back to my desk, I found a bacon cheeseburger, with raw onions (I had ordered grilled), no pickles (had ordered extra), and no mushrooms (had ordered extra), no ketchup or mayo. I really like this place. I always get a bacon cheese burger, in a lettuce wrap. I like that this option is available. I don't like buns. My wife gets the bacon burger. They have many combinations of condiments to add to your burger. The fries are phenomenal, because you know where the potatoes are coming from. They are fresh. I love the cajun fries here. I have only been hosed a couple of times and hadn't gotten my bacon on the burger. The burgers are still flavorful, and the toppings awesome.
