I really like their hamburgers and fries here. The bunderful burger is messy to eat but it's totally worth the 8 napkins you must continuously wipe your mouth after taking each bite. Ordered online during a heavy snowfall, so I can expected it would take a while. 4:30 order, text message indicated delivery between 5:00 and 5:30. I thought that was a little ambitious and figured it would be later. At 5:35 got a text message from DoorDash that the food would be delivered at 5:53, then an update at 5:54 that it would be delivered at 6:02, got the food at 6:07. The receipt indicated that the order was ready at 4:57 and should be delivered by 5:12. The food was ice cold. I understand it would be slow tonight but when I phoned to let them know just how long the food sat in their restaurant the guy I spoke to was dismissive and said 'it's been like that all day. I wouldn't order delivery on a day like today'. Never asked my name or order number. I was hoping for an apology and perhaps an explanation for why the food sat under the heat lamp for so long. What I got was an assurance that I should never order from here again. Thank you. I'll take that advice. read more

We enjoy coming here. Its a low-key, very chill place to enjoy a decent burger after a particularly stressful day. Our meals usually consist of a little burger each and we share a little Cajun fries & delicious strawberry milkshake. When I have the craving for Cajun fries, I go here and get them with extra Cajun! ...and probably end up with a burger (I get everything plus everything in red), which is a mess to eat but SO worth it for the experience! For a place that is supposed to be famous for it's burgers, all I can say is MEH. I can't even split this into Pros and Cons! I think they have a secret deal with Wynne to keep OHIPs coffers empty. Everything we had was really greasy! And to top that off I'm pretty sure by my reaction when I got home the grease was way past it's prime. That's a huge yuck in my books. I expect some grease but slick isn't a word I like to use when describing food! Another unpleasant surprise, which may be our fault for not noticing, is that all their hamburgers are double patty. If I want a double patty burger I would order one...and I never want one! So we both ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger with Fries and a Shake. Toppings were the standards with very little imagination. Borrrring. Staff weren't exactly rude but maybe it was Let's Not Crack A Smile Day because it sure looked like they just got an F from the Health Board. Which brings me to the cleanliness of this place. OMG It smelled of old grease, the tables smelled like old rags (which is a huge button for me), the floors were dirty...and just YUCK. There is too much burger competition out there for the twice a month burger I indulge myself in. This was a mostly unmemorable experience as I do not recall anything exceptional about the food. In fact the only two things I do recall distinctly are precisely the two reasons this place only gets 2 stars. 1. What kind of burger place doesn't include fries and drink with the burger as a default!? Especially one with which I, a huge burger fan, cannot have my own Samuel L Jackson experience when thinking of the burger I just ate. 2. A veggie burger is not simply the vegetable toppings of a regular burger and no patty whatsoever placed between to halves of a bun. I felt very ripped off on behalf of my wife who payed roughly the same price I did for, again what amounted to the equivalent of asking the cashier at McDonald's for a Royal with Cheese, hold the meat and cheese. At least in that scenario you'd see the price drop significantly and it would still come with fries! read more

Food is fine. I have a complaint about how long it takes to get your food when you have called in an order. I called in an order for 3 burgers and 2 fries. I got there and paid and they had my name for the order. At least 3 other people who ordered their food after me (without having called it is) got their food before I did. I finally had to go up to the counter ask why my food was not ready yet. I then has to wait until 2 other people were served before I was. This is the second time this happened for a call-in order. It would have been quicker just going there and ordering the food on the spot. read more

Okay, I am a burger and fries type of guy, and I have been to a number of Five Guys Burger joints in the states, including the one in Watertown, NY. I was looking forward to the same wonderful experience in the new Five Guys at Hunt Club. Unfortunately, that was not the case. It was not terrible, but it was not wonderful either. First thing I noticed was the blasting music, which something from the 'Bad Hair' metal band era. That almost made me walk out before ordering. Tone it down, guys, it is not pleasant to have music blasting when you are trying to order! Second thing I noticed was that the cooks were constantly loudly acknowledging every single order for a burger at the top of their lungs - 'GOT IT!' Is this really necessary? This loud shout was down for every order. Not necessary! I got my order in good time, although I note that the other Five Guys places I have been to in the states generally bring your order to the table, rather than (again!) shout out your order number from the kitchen. Lots of noise in this place! Perhaps if they turned down the music...... Anyway, the fries are overflowing and as tasty as always. The burger fixings were all good, and that is fine. However, the burger was overcooked to the point of almost burnt. The Five Guys burgers I know and love are usually cooked lightly, are soft to the touch, and they crumble and blend with the fixings as you bite into them. The burger patties (you always get two in a bun) were flat, hard and tasted of the grill. These are correctable problems (especially the music and the shouting), and I am hopeful that the manager of this Five Guys restaurant makes the changes as soon as possible. This outlet is the nearest one to my home, and I would hate to have to go far to get the full Five Guys experience. read more

I go here for lunch all the time - and last night stopped in for a burger and fries for dinner. Service is always very friendly - staff goes out of their way to chat with you and seem happy to be there. It is a loud place - music is blaring, the staff are shouting loudly to each other - but I find those things make this place different and add to the unique atmosphere. The food was amazing, as always. Burgers are huge, juicy and the topping choices are awesome! I love getting double mushrooms - so delish! I'll keep going back there for lunch - and dinners too! read more
