We went here when G Burger was new. I gave them a fairly good review, as, overall, the burgers were good and they had just opened - but I do remember feeling like they were overpriced. I've not returned until now. Went there last night with a group of 6 adults, specifically because they have Gluten Free options. While service was great and the food was overall find for the price, I'm struggling. My salad was mediocre - nothing special or exciting about it. My chicken burger was good, but - again - nothing special. I don't think anyone walked away with a 'that was the best burger ever' kind of feel. One person really liked their poutine while another person found their poutine had stale fries. A burger eater also noted stale fries. I want to be clear - a 3 star in Yelp is 'A-OK' and that's what this is. It's not special in my mind. It is a good location to eat with friends and have a drink. Decor is pleasant a bit more unified than when they first opened, with better use of space. We loved our waitress. read more

I love McDonald's nuggets, I mean who doesn't? I also understand that they're not good for you. Have you also realized that the quality has been in decline for some years now? G Burgers nuggets are what chicken nuggets should be, their nuggets are crispy, fresh, and yes, it's definitely 100% chicken breast, you can tell. I went to the new location in Manotick. I had a fabulous meal. I like thin hamburgers and this one was the best, it tasted like a combination of A&W and the old Dairy Queen brazier but better. For people with coeliac there is a dedicated fryer for french fries and gluten-free buns. I highly recommend this place. The fish burger was amazing as well. Check it out! read more

If I could only eat one food for the rest of my life it would be these vegan sliders. These burgers are beyond perfection, they give me the same feeling of a greasy delicious McDonald's burger minus the feeling sick afterwards and the animal cruelty. I order these burgers more often than I should admit haha! Probably once every 2-3weeks! I am obsessed! They have a deal for 3 sliders for about 25$ which is a great deal, the meals are a bit expensive (but worth it) the meal is 30$ and poutine is 12.50$ I've had the entire vegan menu and have to say I am in love. 10/10 would eat until I explode read more

I can't review the food because no one took care of us. We were shown a table, given menus and water, then sat for at least 20 minutes. Not one person came over after we sat down, so we left. The restaurant was not full or busy, seems like they had more than enough staff to take care of the few tables with guests. Don't exactly know why the rating is so low, but it's pretty well known that Gitanes Burger serves up some great food. They've got this somewhat retro-diner decor thing going and they serve what I'm going to imagine is McDonald's... except actually really good since it's not a chain and not everything is premade. The best way to put my experience is that when I opened up my L'Americaine burger box, it looked like what a Big Mac would look like in the ads instead of how it'd be served to you. When I put the burger in my mouth, it evoked the nostalgia of the first time I had a McDonald's burger as a child and it was bursting with wonderful meaty flavours. Then as you get older, whenever you go to McDonald's you're kind of chasing that same feeling/flavour you had but it's never quite there. So if you want to relive your childhood memories of McDonald's in all their glory I'd definitely come here. The spiced curly fries were very tasty and I loved eating them with the mayo rather than the ketchup. For dessert, I had to have the apple pie. I'm going to say they took their inspiration from A&W for this one since it had that same kind of cinnamon sugar dust and was incredibly crispy and delicious. read more

Can't wait to dine in this super beautiful space, I was told they just finished renovating. It was my first time trying Gitanes Burger and it was super delicious. A little on the expensive side ($14) for the burger alone. But this is not your typical burger, it came with charred red onion, aioli and bordelaise- so LUX! everytime I eat here im always amazed at how much time, effort, and detail they put into the food, it's a favourite of mine and all of my friends.
