a cheeseburger wrapped in aluminum foil

I can't recall the last time we have been to Five Guys, but when a burger craving calls- we got in the car. FG is the burger place of choice if we don't want to go to a restaurant but would rather some sort of fast food. I completely forgot this one existed until we were on 84 and about 1/4 of a mile from the exit. I excitedly screamed to my husband to make a decision and get off the exit or be stuck in a car for another half hour. The restaurant itself is well lit which is a great comparison from some of the other FGs we have been to. The staff was prompt, but they did make some "jokes" if a customer did not come up to the counter within an unreasonable amount of time from their number being called. There was a large group sitting behind us and I would have been perturbed if the staff was calling out "going once, going twice" if I wasn't coming within 5 seconds of my number being called. I have a one year old and my priority is making sure she is settled before I grab food that shouldn't go anywhere. Now let's talk about the food, there are so many amazing free toppings. I wish that they offered pickled jalapeños instead of fresh jalapeños. If you've read any of my previous reviews, pickled jalapeños trump fresh in my opinion. Two little bacon cheeseburgers, two regular drinks, and two regular fries came to $30. They say that all burgers are made well done and well done only, but my burger definitely had some pink to it.

I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and received a gas petal. I wanted fries on the side and instead received a raw uncut potato. with a milkshake which consisted of a Adult sized rat and along with Car oil. won't be coming here I go to Burger King.

It was like having an old fashion hamburger and fries with a milkshake. Reminded me of the good all days.

It was very expensive for what I got and it took a long time to get the food. I will go to the one in Avon.

It's a deep, dark red dusting of spices that delivers an intense, lingering heat that will test even the most seasoned chili-heads. Whether you want a quick snack or a full feast, they've mastered every vessel for their crispy, juicy chicken: * The Sandwich: A massive, hefty breast on a potato bun that is widely considered one of the best in New England. * The Wraps & Tenders: Perfectly fried and consistently juicy. * The Sliders: The perfect "middle ground" if you want to mix and match different spice levels in one sitting. The "Must-Have" Sides A hot chicken joint is only as good as its sides, and Haven's are legendary: * Homemade Mac & Cheese: This isn't an afterthought. It's rich, creamy, and features a perfect cheese-to-pasta ratio that acts as the ultimate cooling agent for your palate. * Banana Pudding: This is the "secret weapon" of the menu. It's authentic, layered with fresh bananas and Nilla wafers, and topped with light whipped cream. Many regulars consider it a "side" rather than a dessert because it's the only thing that can truly put out the fire of the higher spice levels! Haven Hot Chicken is a masterclass in balance. Between the crunch of the breading, the customizable heat, and the soul-warming sides, it's a 10/10 experience for any fried chicken lover.

He was very helpful with trying to figure out combos to get the most out of my money. The items are very pricey hence why I don't eat here often. A single chicken sandwich is almost $15 with a combo being a lil over $18. The manager where I usually hooks me up with lots of Rob sauce. At this location I just purchased a large which was $4. We had a great conversation while I waited. What a nice young man. My food came out in less than 10 minutes and it was nice and hot. I witnessed someone purchasing 2 large box orders and their's came out fast as well. This was my 1st time getting the Wrap Snack and a side of coleslaw. I tried medium- Hotter Than You Think, it wasnt super spicy. The wraps came with 2, so I saved one for dinner. The one I ate was yummy, though I wish it had more chicken. My last bites were all tortilla. The chicken was crispy and the cheese really paired well with it. The coleslaw was well seasoned, not sweet and had good size pieces of veggies. You could see the onions and celery. I tasted all the layers of love. My son The Sandwich Combo per usual. He always gets the same thing. My only complaint is the seating was uncomfortable. If you could afford it, I highly recommend you check them out lol.

"WELL, WE GOT RIPPED OFF…read moreAGAIN!" he was right at the front counter and began scolding the two employees as someone had come in and picked up the wrong order. He was angry to the point that you could feel it coming off of him. My daughter and I were both afraid to ask for anything special because he might've Flown off the handle at any moment. He continue to grill the employees on whose fault it was as he made our sandwich. It was then discovered that he was the one who had handed the bag to the wrong customer. Things got pretty quiet after that. It was uncomfortable and embarrassing, and we couldn't wait to get out of there as soon as possible. The food is good, but we've had a few order issues when we've done an online order and picked up food. My daughter has celiac and they gave her the wrong bread on her sandwich when we specifically asked for gluten-free and were charged an additional three dollars for the gluten-free bread. I will say upon our complaining to the store owner about the error on the online order, we did get a refund on that mixup and she did receive a coupon for a free sandwich as well. I do like the sandwiches but feel it's better to go in and order directly to avoid any errors. However, a little afraid of the angry man behind the counter. Not gonna lie.

Born and raised in Eptahori, Greece, Tzepos immigrated to Connecticut in the 1950s with his family. He opened his namesake pizzeria in downtown Seymour in 1970. The name "Zois" is the Greek male equivalent of the female given name "Zoey", but it is also the Greek word for "life". Zois Pizza became well-known for their Greek-style pizza which is cooked in pans. Tzepos' brother Nick also operated pizzerias throughout Connecticut's Naugatuck Valley. The last pizzeria he ran before his retirement was Oxford Pizza Palace, which is currently operated by his son John. Zois Pizza is and has always been a family-run establishment. Zois' son Jim Tzepos has been running the day to day operations since the early 2000s, but Zois still pops in from time to time to make some pies. In addition to the signature Greek-style pan pies, the menu also consists of salads, appetizers, grinders, trays and calzones. I recently stopped in for dinner at Zois Pizza for the first time. I often go to downtown Seymour to see cult film screenings at the Strand Theater. I usually stop at an area restaurant beforehand to grab dinner, so I decided to try out Zois' on my most recent outing. I looked over the menu and decided to order three small pies so I could sample a few different kinds. The three that I ordered were the "Greek" (cheese pizza topped w/ fresh tomato, spinach, feta, garlic & oregano), the "Greek Godfather" (cheese pizza topped w/ sausage & roasted red peppers), and the "Roula Special" (cheese pizza topped w/ chicken, bacon, broccoli & garlic). Although I'm partial to New Haven-style apizza, these Greek-style pan pies were very good. They were full of flavor and had a nice and light, airy crust. At one point, my server checked on me and asked which of the three were my favorite. I told her that I enjoyed all three, but it was the Roula Special that really hit the spot. She responded, "OMG! That's my pizza! I'm Roula!" It turns out that she was Roula Tzepos: Zois' granddaughter! To drink, I enjoyed some cans of New England Brewing's "Fuzzy Baby Ducks" and "Sea Hag" IPAs. Overall, I had a very enjoyable experience at Zois'. I even had some leftovers to bring home for my family to try. If you're looking for a good place to grab dinner in downtown Seymour, then head to Zois'!
