Haven't been to this restaurant since the pandemic. Finally, I had a chance to stop by. They are called Five Guys, but we only counted four guys in the restaurant the day of our visit. Well.... Four guys were enough to provide excellent service We ordered two burgers (a cheeseburger and a bacon burger) and a small fries. The burgers were quite good; packed with fresh meat and ingredients. The flavor was also there. The only problem was we took them home to eat. By the time we were ready to eat, the bread of the burgers was soggy; visually not very appetizing. Wish the sauce was thicker and not ruined the bread. The small fries turned out to be half a bag. Not sure what happened. Could have fed six. Do appreciate the free peanuts

A couple of the friendly guys who work here!

Five Guys is a good chain burger joint imo. You know what you're getting and the quality is consistent. I particularly like this location because the staff are always pleasant with a ready smile. Even the cooks generally look up and smile a friendly welcome. And with the last insane two years who doesn't need a smile. For those that aren't burger fans they make a good hot dog with great toppings. You can also get cheese sandwiches or veggie sandwiches. There's always a ready supply of roasted peanuts that you can snack on while wiring for your grub. Free of course. The potato's are fresh cut for the fries and there's a sign letting you know where the potatoes come from. I like the soda choices. It's the only place I've found in town that offers diet /caffeine free Coke.

Best premium fast food burger in Petaluma. Don't listen to Dan the punisher! Order the fries. Peanut butter milkshake is magic.

Large fry, reg fry and two burgers. No extra fries at all and cup not even filled.

Worst Five Guys Ever!!! Cashier said the large fry was for three people. We ordered a regular as well for someone in a separate part of the car. They didn't even fill the cup much less put any in the bag.

I love Five Guys. I used to live in DC and it became a quick late night go to for me at my Metro stop. When I'm in Petaluma for an errand I'll occasionally stop by for a Little Cheeseburger and Cajun Fries. If you've never experience the Cajun Fries you must. It's not on the menu. Fresh cut fries drenched in Cajun spice. Sweet baby Jesus they are life changing. Also the service is super friendly and the restaurant is very clean. Yummmmmmmm!!

    Burgers and fries. Yaaay

I have heard about this five guys vs in n out fued. First off. Five guys is not any where near in n out. But they have better fries and make a damn decent burger. Definitely down to come here and grab a good burger. And no wait. Inn out is a beast so good but those lines sometimes.

    Hard bun...

Would have given two stars if the burger was decent. Do yourself a favor DO NOT COME HERE... especially if you have had and enjoy Five Guys. (Worst part is that I tipped before receiving food). Ambiance was average, minus the fancy soda dispenser I have come to expect.

The place is cute, it is a throwback drive in style place. Small but cute with outdoor seating with umbrella coverage for the sun. But I tend to take it over to the brewery right next store and pair it with a cold draft beer. I come out of my way to come here for lunch, so that should show that it is a draw, at least for me. Instead of bagging a takeout order, they handed me a giant, wide-open cardboard tray. How anyone is supposed to balance an open flat box of exposed food while managing a small child is beyond me. "To-go" means packaged to move--in a bag, easy to carry, with sealed condiments inside. Instead, everything was sitting out in the open, and condiments are only offered in lidless, open cups ready to spill all over the place. When I politely asked the girl at the counter to please put our order into a bag, she gave me immediate attitude and turned passive-aggressive. She snapped that "that's just how we do it when it's a lot of food," acting like I was an idiot and it was somehow my fault for not knowing their nonsensical packaging system. Completely impractical takeout model paired with dismissive, rude (passive aggressive) customer service. If you actually need food packaged for on-the-go convenience, look elsewhere. Horrible experience.

All in all a delicious burger. I went with a side salad instead of fries, but the fried side options were plenty and they all looked pretty good. The salad wasn't bad either. It came with kidney and garbanzo beans, carrots, cucumber, sliced onion and tomato on spinach. Only note on this salad is they should probably chop the onion and tomatos for the salads instead of dropping slices on your salad. Couldn't find any knives to cut thise big slices I wish the dining area was larger and more comfortable, otherwise I'd really want to hang out there over a cold pint.

I had been to the block before about a few years earlier and remember it being lively and fun filled with a handful of food options and a packed bar. This time, the establishment was almost completely empty with only two food options: the barbecue or the pizza. Both menus were extremely limited in terms of available options. I went with the barbecue platter and my boyfriend went with two slices of pepperoni pizza. While the pizza was decent, but nothing to write home about, I would never order that barbecue platter again. First of all, the mac & cheese that it came with was more like overcooked buttered noodles without seasoning. The pulled pork and the coleslaw tasted old as if it had been sitting out at room temp. I also thought it was weird that they gave me potato chips as another side, but to eat their own. The only thing I actually enjoyed were the side of pickles and who knows if those were even made or from a jar. It was cold outside, so we decided to sit under the enclosed portion of the building and flies swarmed us - they were everywhere and we were continuously swatting our hands around to try to get any relief. It was miserable experience and as soon as we were done eating, we just wanted to leave. I can see why people were not here after the disappointment my boyfriend and I felt.

For food, we ordered the pork in sauce BBQ sandwich, hot dog, and a side of baked beans. There are separate areas where you order first, then pay, then wait for your food. Once we paid, we were handed the baked beans, which were piping hot. It was still quite busy at the front and we ended up waiting about 25 min before our sandwiches came out. The wait wasn't the problem, but both items were cold when we got them. The sandwich had actually been ready and sitting there for about 15 min before the hot dog came out. We even had to ask them to swap out the baked beans they gave us earlier because they were room temp by then. Cold food aside, the pork in sauce had a lot of fat and was way too saucy (maybe ask for sauce on the side). The hot dog which was what we waited 25 min for was just...a hot dog with way too much mayo and ketchup. With the long wait, I'm confused why our food wasn't hot when it came out. I may give it another try, but first experience wasn't great.
