the interior of a fast food restaurant

Haven't been to this restaurant since the pandemic. Finally, I had a chance to stop by. They are called Five Guys, but we only counted four guys in the restaurant the day of our visit. Well.... Four guys were enough to provide excellent service We ordered two burgers (a cheeseburger and a bacon burger) and a small fries. The burgers were quite good; packed with fresh meat and ingredients. The flavor was also there. The only problem was we took them home to eat. By the time we were ready to eat, the bread of the burgers was soggy; visually not very appetizing. Wish the sauce was thicker and not ruined the bread. The small fries turned out to be half a bag. Not sure what happened. Could have fed six. Do appreciate the free peanuts

A couple of the friendly guys who work here!

Five Guys is a good chain burger joint imo. You know what you're getting and the quality is consistent. I particularly like this location because the staff are always pleasant with a ready smile. Even the cooks generally look up and smile a friendly welcome. And with the last insane two years who doesn't need a smile. For those that aren't burger fans they make a good hot dog with great toppings. You can also get cheese sandwiches or veggie sandwiches. There's always a ready supply of roasted peanuts that you can snack on while wiring for your grub. Free of course. The potato's are fresh cut for the fries and there's a sign letting you know where the potatoes come from. I like the soda choices. It's the only place I've found in town that offers diet /caffeine free Coke.

Best premium fast food burger in Petaluma. Don't listen to Dan the punisher! Order the fries. Peanut butter milkshake is magic.

Large fry, reg fry and two burgers. No extra fries at all and cup not even filled.

Worst Five Guys Ever!!! Cashier said the large fry was for three people. We ordered a regular as well for someone in a separate part of the car. They didn't even fill the cup much less put any in the bag.

I love Five Guys. I used to live in DC and it became a quick late night go to for me at my Metro stop. When I'm in Petaluma for an errand I'll occasionally stop by for a Little Cheeseburger and Cajun Fries. If you've never experience the Cajun Fries you must. It's not on the menu. Fresh cut fries drenched in Cajun spice. Sweet baby Jesus they are life changing. Also the service is super friendly and the restaurant is very clean. Yummmmmmmm!!

Hard bun...

Would have given two stars if the burger was decent. Do yourself a favor DO NOT COME HERE... especially if you have had and enjoy Five Guys. (Worst part is that I tipped before receiving food). Ambiance was average, minus the fancy soda dispenser I have come to expect.

The Main guy here has been most professional with me as a customer and also his staff. Good to see someone in charge who treats his staff right. The burgers are bomb. And the fries are delicious and plenty. Great experience today here at five guys. My go to burger spot and grilled cheese

If you like a long wait for a burger that is on par with McD's, this is the place for you.

Soggy Bun, burger falls apart. The burger tastes just Ok. Not worth the disgusting mess. The Habit restaurant is better.

All the food comes served on metal trays lined with paper. Bright red and yellow squeeze bottles of ketchup and mustard top every table aside a paper towel roll. Only a few tables available for seating. All seats are benches. I ordered a super burger, cause sometimes that classic lettuce, tomato, onion, pickel combination is what I'm craving. Ordered it mid rare, and that's how it came. They have 'all the cheeses' you can choose from. I went with pepper jack. Burger was perfect. The bun was perfect. The produce was great. All in all a delicious burger. I went with a side salad instead of fries, but the fried side options were plenty and they all looked pretty good. The salad wasn't bad either. It came with kidney and garbanzo beans, carrots, cucumber, sliced onion and tomato on spinach. Only note on this salad is they should probably chop the onion and tomatos for the salads instead of dropping slices on your salad. Couldn't find any knives to cut thise big slices I wish the dining area was larger and more comfortable, otherwise I'd really want to hang out there over a cold pint.

I had been to the block before about a few years earlier and remember it being lively and fun filled with a handful of food options and a packed bar. This time, the establishment was almost completely empty with only two food options: the barbecue or the pizza. Both menus were extremely limited in terms of available options. I went with the barbecue platter and my boyfriend went with two slices of pepperoni pizza. While the pizza was decent, but nothing to write home about, I would never order that barbecue platter again. First of all, the mac & cheese that it came with was more like overcooked buttered noodles without seasoning. The pulled pork and the coleslaw tasted old as if it had been sitting out at room temp. I also thought it was weird that they gave me potato chips as another side, but to eat their own. The only thing I actually enjoyed were the side of pickles and who knows if those were even made or from a jar. It was cold outside, so we decided to sit under the enclosed portion of the building and flies swarmed us - they were everywhere and we were continuously swatting our hands around to try to get any relief. It was miserable experience and as soon as we were done eating, we just wanted to leave. I can see why people were not here after the disappointment my boyfriend and I felt.

This is a shared outdoor event space with restaurants, bars, and stage for live music. There was a good amount of people there, probably gets busier during events. I asked the bar about the brewery and was told there was currently only one selection from them on tap which was disappointing. It wasn't the most comfortable place to enjoy a beer either. Even if there had been more to experience, I probably wouldn't have bothered going back. One other note, the restrooms are singles and with so many people there was a long wait to use one. I'd imagine that'd be worse when busy.

The food was so good that I would gladly make the drive from San Francisco to Petaluma just to eat here again. The barbecue was outstanding, but the real surprise was the peach tres leches cake. WOW. It was incredible and an absolute game changer. Moist, flavorful, and the perfect ending to an amazing meal. The portions were generous, the quality was excellent, and every bite was worth it. You can tell they take pride in what they serve. If you're anywhere near Petaluma and love great barbecue, do yourself a favor and stop here. There was one young employee left to handle the register by himself while a line of customers continued to grow. At the same time, there were several completed orders sitting on the counter waiting to be bagged and handed out. My food sat there for about 10 minutes before I finally walked up and asked for it. What made the situation frustrating was that there were multiple other employees standing at the other end of the restaurant talking and laughing while this one employee was clearly overwhelmed, trying to do the work of two people. It wasn't until I asked about my order that another employee came over to help at the register. This isn't a reflection on the young employee he was doing his best under difficult circumstances. My concern is with the lack of teamwork and support from the rest of the staff. The food is still excellent, but I hope management addresses this so employees aren't left struggling alone and customers receive the service they're expecting.

After waiting for quite some time with no update, the employee handling pickup orders--who identified herself as the manager--eventually realized she had my order. Instead of simply handing it off, she spoke to me with an attitude and told me that next time I needed to let her know I was there for a pickup. I had already done exactly that when I walked in and spoke to the front staff member. The situation became even more uncomfortable when I asked for names. The manager approached me in a hostile manner and continued with an unprofessional tone, offering a phone number "if I really felt it was necessary." This experience was frustrating because the issue appeared to be a lack of communication between staff, yet I was treated as if I had done something wrong. I've never had such a negative interaction over something as simple as picking up an order.
