My husband & I came here 5/14 for a beer at Crooked Goat Brewing, but they don't actually have a kitchen, so came here for our food. I ordered the BBQ Pulled Pork sandwich $9.75 which was extremely messy due to way to much BBQ sauce, and a side of Shoestring Fries $4.99 My husband got the Sonoma Hot Chicken sandwich $10.25 and a side of Tator Tots $5.75 which he enjoyed. I'm a huge fry gal and acme helps satisfy my fried potato needs! I am obsessed with their tator tots! They come out hot and ready to pop in your mouth. The outsides are always nice and crispy and the insides are fluffy (this is true for any of the fries). While I haven't tried of their burgers, I am a huge fan of their chicken tenders. They've always come out juicy and well seasoned. They have plenty of sauces to choose from and you can ask for any sauces you want. My favorites are the normal ranch and chipotle ranch. Acme burger was very delicious. The quality of the beef tasted phenomenal, especially with all the toppings that you were able to add. I almost didn't have enough time to take a picture as I was so excited to sink my teeth into this burger. I'm recommending this place for the solid meat-free options and the availability of tater tots. It's a good value, even if you order from the brewery next-door and pay the markup. My one complaint is that the Beyond Burger is consistently oversalted. Beyond Burgers come pre-salted, so adding the amount of salt one might put on a traditional burger makes them nearly inedible. We tried: Sonoma Mountain Beef Company Burgers (Locally raised, hormone & antibiotic free, grass fed & grain finished) -a single with the included lettuce, tomato and Awesome sauce, plus cheddar and caramelized onions for me + -a double with the included lettuce and tomato, plus cheddar for him Beyond Burger (Plant-based protein, hummus, no awesome sauce) -single for a friend - her fave! We also tried regular Shoestring Fries, Sweet Potato Fries, and Cajun Fries - all winners! We didn't try but need to: garlic fries, truffle fries, tater tots, and sweet potato tots (I'm intrigued!). Service here is always friendly each time I go. I even came in here about 5 mins to closing once just to grab some of the pickled veggies and they graciously offered me a to-go container so that I could take as many pickled veggies I wanted for free. Their burgers, fish and chips, and salad here are good as well. I really like their fish and chips. It's all tasty considering the price point and convenience. The service was a little bit slower than I would've liked, but it was obvious they had a lot of to go orders that they were preparing. The restaurant is very cute with outside tables only . Holy cow! This place is freaking delicious and amazing in every way. Staff is so friendly and fun, excellent customer service, food is crazy good! Most burgers are grass fed and I think grain finished and they have one regular grain fed burger which I usually get and it's perfection. Juicy and with the basics like cheese and pickle and their special sauce or you can jazz it up with grilled onions and bacon, stuff like that. It's the right size as well. Not too big, not too small. Here's the best part; they have tater tot's. Homemade, crispy and crunchy tater tots! They are ridiculously good. Who knew?! For a pescatarian, this is one of the best and most affordable meals ever!l This meal can be ordered as one or two pieces, and the flash fried is literally that a thin layer of criunch just enough to make it crispy and keep the fish fluffy and tender! Service is fast, professional, and friendly. Note: if the line is long, use the service square posted on their front windows to place your order. This Acme location is a walk-up where you place your orders and then step outside again as the line moves forward. There are several picnic bench-style tables outside, so it's nice if you like sitting outdoors. It is however on a fairly busy street and could definitely use some foliage borders. I always get the grass fed double patty burger and my wife gets the chicken sandwich. Now that we have kids they always get the tenders with fries. Overall it's a nice little treat. The Petaluma location has Crooked brewery steps away which is nice to enjoy a beer before, after or during since they allow delivery. Also the service is very friendly. I wanted to love this place, but I only liked it. I think I could LOVE it if they tweak a few things: The burger and Ahi sandwich weren't seasoned enough. Especially the burger.. needed a lot of salt and pepper and even though there are a lot of sauces to choose from, the meat needs basic seasoning.. my Ahi needed to be marinated in the Teriyaki sauce enough to carry that flavor through so the wasabi mayo doesn't overpower. I liked the grilled pineapple, The fries were fine, I liked the garlic in them. Lots of salads and side dishes on the menu and choices other than beef, next time I'll try a meal salad. It would be nice to have more soft drink choices.. maybe some premium choices like root beers or ginger beers. My first visit was enjoyable because of the warm greeting and customer service by the staff. there is a nice covered area with picnic benches to eat at outside. I ordered the cheese burger and a small fries, not knowing about the business special I saw posted outside that could have been recommended to save a senior money. I did not see the Acme burger listed on the crowded wall menu. Apparently I received the Sonoma mountain beef burger, which turned out to very dry, tepid temp and had an unusual aftertaste that might be because of the grass fed. The fries were and pickles were crispy and spot on. The milkshakes look really good and deserve a try as well. Anyway I was far from the wow experience I expected and that other reviewers apparently had. Me and my mind...whats the first thing I think of? Road Runner. Well they aint Road Runner burgers. I did not believe the repped the hype that i got. I like the fact they serve alcohol and im willing to give them another try. One thing. they are one of the few, I dont want to call them fast food, but not fine dine, places that ask you how you want your burger cooked which is a plus for me cuz I am a straight carnivore and asked for rare. The M.F. was rare. To me it was great but to the layman that likes rare would not have liked it at all. It was still kicking. Actually, imma change right now to 4 stars cuz I kinda got what i axed for but as I stated it was RARE! What nice looking old school converted gas station burger joint. It's been a really long time since my last visit here, I'm from out of the area. I came by about 7 PM and the place was still really humming with activity. Lots of togo orders since it was a bit cold and windy outside in the spring weather. The service was fast and very friendly. The server made suggestions to help me with the huge menu. Everything I could see coming out of the busy kitchen looked really good. I see some great looking fresh cut fries and onion rings along with tater tots. So I took a chance and decided to try a few of their more unusual sandwiches. I ordered the Ahi tuna (saw it on Triple D) and the barbecue pulled pork sandwich, with a order of tater tots. I waited about 20 minutes for the order. The good. The bun was very fresh the lettuce crisp, and the tomato ripe. While the sandwich was oozing juice, the Ahi was way over cooked and poorly seasoned. (When you over cook Ahi, it just tastes canned tuna fish on a bun.) The overall flavor wasn't very good, so I only took a few bites and stopped. Next I tried the BBQ pulled pork with coleslaw, and it was just bad. The meat was dry, with no smoke flavor, and the sauce was just bad. It was right up there with some of the worst pulled pork I've ever eaten. The tater tots were very crispy, crunchy, and seasoned well. I asked for the awesome sauce, that sadly wasn't all that awesome. It's kind of an off tasting thousand island. After a few of the tots, I noticed the old fry oil aftertaste that was very disappointing. I think this place is popular for a reason, but I allowed myself to get off track and order things that are hard to do well. They should probably take them off the menu and stay in their lane.
