This place has an awesome turkey burger. I get it on a lettuce wrap with a side of pickles. Their pickles are chuncks or bright crunchy cukes that I may be addicted to. I can't get enough of them at all. I never tried the fries because they are so good. I see others get the fries and they look very good, but I just love the pickels. Nuff said. The place is cute, it is a throwback drive in style place. Small but cute with outdoor seating with umbrella coverage for the sun. But I tend to take it over to the brewery right next store and pair it with a cold draft beer. I come out of my way to come here for lunch, so that should show that it is a draw, at least for me. "To go? NoNo!" I ordered food to-go here today with my toddler in tow, and the packaging and service were completely absurd. Instead of bagging a takeout order, they handed me a giant, wide-open cardboard tray. How anyone is supposed to balance an open flat box of exposed food while managing a small child is beyond me. "To-go" means packaged to move--in a bag, easy to carry, with sealed condiments inside. Instead, everything was sitting out in the open, and condiments are only offered in lidless, open cups ready to spill all over the place. When I politely asked the girl at the counter to please put our order into a bag, she gave me immediate attitude and turned passive-aggressive. She snapped that "that's just how we do it when it's a lot of food," acting like I was an idiot and it was somehow my fault for not knowing their nonsensical packaging system. Completely impractical takeout model paired with dismissive, rude (passive aggressive) customer service. If you actually need food packaged for on-the-go convenience, look elsewhere. My daughter went into Acme Burger today with a friend. They purchased two sodas directly from the manager, and her friend also purchased a milkshake and fries to share with my daughter. They were polite, respectful, and went and sat down to eat. A short time later, when my daughter's friend went to fill her soda, the manager accused her of stealing soda. She explained that her friend had just purchased the soda for her. Instead of checking the transaction or simply asking for clarification, the manager followed the girls outside and accused them again of stealing. The girls explained that they had just purchased the cups directly from her. The manager continued to lecture them about stealing and never acknowledged that she may have been mistaken. The girls were so uncomfortable and embarrassed that they quickly finished their fries and left. After I called to explain what happened, the manager told me that she believed she had given my daughter's friend a cup for water and that she had filled that cup with soda. That simply was not what happened. My daughter paid $6.59 through Apple Cash, which is exactly what she paid for the two sodas. The other girl's mother also confirmed her daughter's separate purchase of the milkshake and fries through Apple Pay. I understand that mistakes and misunderstandings happen. What is incredibly disappointing is that instead of simply checking the transaction and realizing she had misunderstood the situation, the manager accused two polite kids of stealing, followed them outside, and lectured them as though they were criminals. She did apologize to us as parents, but what really mattered was how she treated the girls in the moment. They deserved an apology too. My daughter used to go to Acme Burger frequently with her friends. After this experience, she told me, "We'll go get food somewhere else now for sure." I don't blame her. I'm a huge fry gal and acme helps satisfy my fried potato needs! I am obsessed with their tator tots! They come out hot and ready to pop in your mouth. The outsides are always nice and crispy and the insides are fluffy (this is true for any of the fries). While I haven't tried of their burgers, I am a huge fan of their chicken tenders. They've always come out juicy and well seasoned. They have plenty of sauces to choose from and you can ask for any sauces you want. My favorites are the normal ranch and chipotle ranch. Acme burger was very delicious. The quality of the beef tasted phenomenal, especially with all the toppings that you were able to add. I almost didn't have enough time to take a picture as I was so excited to sink my teeth into this burger. I also got the sweet potato garlic fries with barbecue sauce on the side and they added just the right amount of garlic. The service was super friendly and very helpful when it came to any questions that I had about the menu. Very speedy service. Primarily a takeout but they do have tables. The food is 'EH' but if you want some food in a hurry; it fills the bill. Their motto is "Good Food Fast" and they mean it! We tried: Sonoma Mountain Beef Company Burgers (Locally raised, hormone & antibiotic free, grass fed & grain finished) -a single with the included lettuce, tomato and Awesome sauce, plus cheddar and caramelized onions for me + -a double with the included lettuce and tomato, plus cheddar for him Beyond Burger (Plant-based protein, hummus, no awesome sauce) -single for a friend - her fave! We also tried regular Shoestring Fries, Sweet Potato Fries, and Cajun Fries - all winners! We didn't try but need to: garlic fries, truffle fries, tater tots, and sweet potato tots (I'm intrigued!). Our food was ready fast and the prices seem fair for the quality. My burger was substantial and hit the spot. Really enjoyed the fries too. It was a solid choice and I'll definitely be back. I'm recommending this place for the solid meat-free options and the availability of tater tots. It's a good value, even if you order from the brewery next-door and pay the markup. My one complaint is that the Beyond Burger is consistently oversalted. Beyond Burgers come pre-salted, so adding the amount of salt one might put on a traditional burger makes them nearly inedible. This is an honest mistake someone who does not eat Beyond Burgers can make. I recommend that anyone who is cooking one professionally or otherwise sample their work at least once. read more

I even came in here about 5 mins to closing once just to grab some of the pickled veggies and they graciously offered me a to-go container so that I could take as many pickled veggies I wanted for free. The service was a little bit slower than I would've liked, but it was obvious they had a lot of to go orders that they were preparing. The restaurant is very cute with outside tables only . Generally, the outside area was clean, although there were a couple of splotches on a couple of the tables from prior diners. Both Dad and I had burgers. Mine was lettuce wrapped. They were tasty and juicy. We also shared an order of fries which were crispy. we use the secret sauce and ranch dressing as dip. Dad had a chocolate milkshake which surprisingly he did not finish. Holy cow! This place is freaking delicious and amazing in every way. Staff is so friendly and fun, excellent customer service, food is crazy good! Most burgers are grass fed and I think grain finished and they have one regular grain fed burger which I usually get and it's perfection. Juicy and with the basics like cheese and pickle and their special sauce or you can jazz it up with grilled onions and bacon, stuff like that. It's the right size as well. Not too big, not too small. Here's the best part; they have tater tot's. Homemade, crispy and crunchy tater tots! They are ridiculously good. Who knew?! I think they have salads and tacos also but I've only eaten the tots, burgers and onion rings so that's my review. I think they're new to town as well. So excited to have Acme Burger in Petaluma! When I discovered their flash fried red snapper sandwich on a lettuce wrap I was over the moon! For a pescatarian, this is one of the best and most affordable meals ever!l This meal can be ordered as one or two pieces, and the flash fried is literally that a thin layer of criunch just enough to make it crispy and keep the fish fluffy and tender! Service is fast, professional, and friendly. Note: if the line is long, use the service square posted on their front windows to place your order. This Acme location is a walk-up where you place your orders and then step outside again as the line moves forward. There are several picnic bench-style tables outside, so it's nice if you like sitting outdoors. It is however on a fairly busy street and could definitely use some foliage borders. If they vibe up the ambience, I would give them five stars. Ample street parking and about 10 parking spots or so shared with Crooked Goat brewery. read more

I did not see the Acme burger listed on the crowded wall menu. Apparently I received the Sonoma mountain beef burger, which turned out to very dry, tepid temp and had an unusual aftertaste that might be because of the grass fed. The fries were and pickles were crispy and spot on. The milkshakes look really good and deserve a try as well. Anyway I was far from the wow experience I expected and that other reviewers apparently had. Cute place in an area of older homes. It fits in PERFECTLY!! Looks to be a former gas station but you will not find any oil stains here! I ordered their regular 1/4 burger with onion rings and a soda. Next to the soda dispenser are two large glass jars of pickled veggies and one of pickles. They were great to snack on while waiting. The wait wasn't long as they seem to cook everything fresh. The burger was pretty good. Just the right size but if you have a larger appetite then there are double patties. There also seems to be chicken sandwiches, salads and I believe chicken strips. This is an all right little spot to grab a good burger and a nice tasty IPA. They tucked away in the middle of nowhere, but that's what makes it extra special.
