Little fries are getting smaller these days.
Doug R.

Loved the grilled cheese sandwich but skimpy on the fries. Fast and friendly service.

Disappointment
Carlos D.

Drove 25 minutes to pooler because my 10 year old wanted to celebrate a special occasion. He wanted a world famous 5 guys burger. 645 on a Friday night and they were closed...??? I came by another time 20 minutes before closing and the door was locked and they were closing down inside. I pointed to my watch and showed the employees they were closing early and the motioned for me to go away. Only ate here once and the food was on par with the other chains I've eaten at but the two other times I've attempted to eat here I was turned away DURING BUSINESS HOURS.

Grilled cheese add burger
Christy W.

I ordered a grilled cheese add a burger. No Mayo, took it back and they told me this is how it's cooked, they can't cook it any other way. It's clear from this picture it was put on after it was cooked. Said they could only make me a regular burger, so they did and that was wrong as well. Terrible customer service.

Little Cheeseburger

Five Guys has officially gone fast food! It used to be considered a dining restaurant as it is priced as such. I understand we have inflation but a $11 burger and $7 fries is absurd. I think there is a reason you don't see recent accolades posted on the wall but only things from the early 2010s. They don't try any longer. Gloves need to be changed when you touch receipts, the register, your glasses, etc. Hair nets need to be mandatory for those with long hair. Fries and burger do have the Five Guys taste as it is a chain restaurant but has great food. Shared parking with another restaurant but spaces are ample. Service was fast but workers are doing it at a rapid pace so friendliness is non existent. Plenty of seating insides as most orders were to go. This one is Five Guys familiar but if you have the option to go elsewhere, then do that.

Bowl instead of the ordered lettuce wrap. Need gluten free bread option
Jerry V.

We have gluten sensitivity and ordered a lettuce wrap and instead got a box. Terrible idea. Please provide gluten free bread option

Amanda M.

Pretty good experience. They were pretty fast for a Five Guys. Food was fresh. They had some bathroom issues, but that can be fixed. Good stop.

Wayback burger is a nice option between really fast food and sitdown chains…read more We were pleasantly greeted and staff was so helpful answering our questions about the menu. Burgers are made to order and very worth the brief. We got the wayback sauce on the side bit absolutely loved it using every last drop. Chili cheese fries were yummy too.

My family and I stopped by Wayback Burgers in Pooler this past weekend on a Saturday around noon…read more I'll start with the positives, because there are quite a few. The restaurant was very clean, which I always appreciate. The food was delicious, and the pricing honestly surprised me--in a good way. For four people with drinks, our total came out to $62, which is significantly cheaper than many other burger spots these days. One of my kids ordered a kids cheeseburger meal, and it was a great size for a child. I ordered The Cheesy burger--two patties, three cheese slices, and the bun is flipped inside out. It's definitely unique, and if you're curious, just look at my photo because it speaks for itself. Another person in our group did a custom burger, and everyone agreed the burgers were filling and well-made. The fries were absolutely delicious, and the cook was super nice, which didn't go unnoticed. Now for the not-so-great part. The woman at the front counter who took our order was... not welcoming. No hello, no smile, and honestly she looked like she hated being there. The restaurant wasn't busy at all--we were the only customers--so it wasn't a stress or crowd issue. It felt more like a morale problem than anything else. Because of that, I'm not sure if I'd rush back solely due to the customer service, which is unfortunate because the food itself was really good. If the front-of-house experience matched the quality of the food, this place would be an easy repeat visit.

The fried chicken, meatloaf, pot roast and all the side dishes left us both full and satisfied. One dish after another was delicious and tasty. They offer a variety of ways to order your food and we opted for the buffet and tried a little of all the outstanding homemade dishes. The staff was gracious & attentive. In the end we finished with cornbread (YUM) and peach cobbler. Another bonus is the museum and a piece of history that was amazing to learn about. We have already been there twice and will be back often and frequently!

It is inside a museum & really stands out since museum food not much to write about usually but this is a nice exception. Only issue are the ladies behind the serving line rushing you thru. There was noone behind us in line & the first lady demands to know what to put on the plate before even seen anything! They all rushed us thru so quickly I never saw dessert at the very end mixed in with the veggies. Slow DOWN!! Let folks see all the beautiful food & "shop" just a little. Nicely done otherwise & blows away the Cracker Barrel just down the street!
