I had the corner and I had to unhinge my jaw for that first bite. Double patties with pimento cheese, bacon, fried green tomato and garlic sauce. It was sooo good. My son had Taco burger. He liked the fried tortilla that gave it crunch along with all the taco fixings. Wife had the Caesar chicken Sandwich. Chicken was well seasoned and had the classic Caesar taste. Food was great! This is pretty good. Everything is made fresh to order. I had the regular cheeseburger. It came hot off the grill with all the fixings. The fries were fresh. All in all not too bad. I wish the bun was better quality. It kind of reminded me of a really good burger that I'd make myself at home. Despite having a slight back up of orders the food came pretty fast. My minature hamburger was overcooked and served on an institutional grade bun. The fries were long and stringy, each with a width of about two spaghetti strands. On the other hand, the Dr. Pepper was delicious. All this for $17.50. What a joke. But, it gets worse. The table where I ate felt like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. I have had my eye on the Corner Grill, and finally got a chance to go after a few months of waiting! The issue was they are not open for dinner on the weekends. This place has the perfect lunch menu. Salads, sandwiches, burgers, what else can you ask for? It's an order at the counter and they bring your food to the table kind of place. I went with a group of about 8 people. They have one large table inside and one large table outside and unfortunately, both tables were taken! We squeezed into a table that was set for 6 I believe. Probably a better place for small groups of 2-3, or single diners, but we were ok at the smaller table. I had the Greek Salad and did not opt for a protein add in, and sweet potato fries on the side. Most of my family ordered a salad, but a few ate burgers and loved them! They are cool with modifications, like if you don't want onion on the salad or no LTO on the burger. First, somebody had to do the chalkboard menu writing. That right there probably took a few Joanna Gaines-like consultations and maybe even a SCAD student or 3. At the very least Pinterest was involved. I counted about 11 items I wanted. Fried bologna, shrimp tacos, gyros. I even tarried with the hot dog selections (dress it like you want, within reason). I like dressing hot dogs. Paper dolls for guys. I settled on a pimento cheese sandwich because I remember pimento cheese toast as a boy. I also remembered how uneven pimento cheese is. Too much of this, too little of that and the pimento cheese is a sandwich killer. So I'm standing there watching the guy at the grill flipping burgers and I melded that vision with the nostalgic vision I already had of a pimento cheese sandwich and succumbed to my usual wretched excess. I asked the girl taking orders if the guy at the grill could slide a burger onto my pimento cheese sammie. They consulted and under the previous precedent of Dressing Hot Dogs Like You Want Within Reason, gave me the thumbs up. Which, after plowing through that and the fries, proved too much of a very good thing. And that didn't even take into account the raft of cole slaw which showed up and surely took about 6 cabbages from Mr. McGregor's garden that would have fed Peter Rabbit, Flopsy AND Mopsy--for days. I need to break this review down because the food was great... the price, not so much. First the food: 4 Stars. I had a Greek burger with fries and a drink. The burger was good, the bun was a bit too much for me, I ended up having tons of bread left. The burger itself was pretty good, they did not ask me how I wanted it cooked so I was thankful it came out medium well as I do not like raw ground beef. The patty wasn't anything to write home about, but I enjoyed the burger all put together with the toppings. The fries I thought were great. They were crispy and fresh, you could tell they were hand cut. The seasoning was perfection. I might even say I enjoyed the fries more than the burger. Now the price: 1 Star. $18 with tip... for just me... burger, fries, drink...$18.... seems steep. I had gone with two of my coworkers who stated their burgers were alright, the onions rings they thought were frozen and not that great, they stated they'd never return due to the price. I would love to go back however, $18 for a lunch is more than ridiculous. I'd totally return to enjoy this place more often since I work down the street, but again... $18 for a burger, fries, and a soda. I'm hoping they adjust their prices soon otherwise I'm not sure they'll be long for this location. Overall, the food is good, I thought really good, but the price stops me dead in my tracks. read more

It's the best coleslaw I've ever had, even better than the Carolina slaw I make myself. Crisp, not slimy and full of mayo, with a tang/bite and a but of nuttiness. Simply perfect. Mom had a pimento grilled cheese that she said she could order daily and still love it. I had a burger with fried jalapeños on it... Very tasty, but the complete lack of heat was disappointing. Would've been perfect with a habanero queso instead of the chipotle ranch sauce. Onion rings... As awesome as the slaw. Thick rings battered and fried perfectly. Will definitely be back asap! Only reasons for the star off was the lack of spice on the burger, and unfortunately the gal taking orders (while very helpful) didn't seem happy to be there. Our family all enjoy the Corner Grill. We return often. My husband and daughter particularly enjoy the giros. I like their salads and shrimp tacos. There is never a problem with requests to add or change ingredients.The hamburgers are also good, as is the Asian coleslaw. We usually do take out, but there is plenty of indoor seating and a nice outdoor patio. It is hidden away and a bit difficult to find but well worth it. read more
