Five guys still stands out to be a solid choice in my opinion. Still remember my first time in 2006 outside Washington D.C. in Bethesda. Been a fan and enjoy it each time. Great that I can visit a different location and still get the same great service. It was a late lunch, so it wasn't to busy. No issues with the staff the woman at the counter was helpful and even made the food. All the fixings are available, and clean around the shop. My burger had its classic, warm cheesey bite, buttery bread, and crunchy bacon. Fresh fries to enjoy and water as my choice of beverage when not drinking booze. It's overall ok. I deduct one star because it's so expensive for what it is, but I get it, they need to make a profit and the overhead is really high. I guess it's not fair to deduct one star for that reason, so here is my other reason, and it's because of personal taste (another unfair deduction?). The only thing I dislike, other than paying close to $40 for two cheeseburgers is the buns get quite soggy, yuck. Aside from those nitpicks, everything is great. The crew has always been friendly and welcoming. Every time. Nobody seems to hate their job here which is nice to see. The milkshakes are very good. When not so busy, they have been crisp, and those are quite good. Because I'm addicted to their banana milkshakes, I go here at least twice a month. This place is the worst as far as customer service goes but I'm sure it's the same at every 5 guys I deliver for door dash and I know they take long so I even sat in my car for 5-10 minutes before going in. When I go in you can see the buns and one for my order was a hot dog so I can pretty much know how long it's going to be. After about 10 minutes of waiting for the meat to be cooked, which I feel at least the Patty's can be cooked a few minutes ahead of time without affecting freshness in the least but that's their policy I guess, anyway after seeing the sandwiches get made, bagged and placed on the upper shelf with others to wait for fries I'm in a total of 18 minutes of wait time (car and store) we are now waiting for fries. Now I know 5 guys puts an extra tray of fries in the bag which is the dumbest practice I've ever seen it isn't impressing anyone as most go in the trash I'm sure if they surveyed they would see no one can finish that amount. Anyway I saw a customer finally get his order and said you forgot my fries..he looked to be a friend as they were joking back and forth she proceeds to fill a brown bag full of fries and he remarks wow that many fries and the female worker smiled and shrugged. I figured surely my order would be next but then she went to the fryer and added 2 baskets of fresh fries...she gave her friend the rest of the fries so I then had to wait another 10 minutes for the fries to be made. We're at about 28 minutes from me receiving the order to getting the bag now and another 3 minutes to get the shake she forgot to make..31 minutes in a fast food restaurant 25 more minutes of travel time and I'm in almost an hour for a $12 order a complete and total waste of my time but it will be the last time this affects me as I will no longer take orders from this place nor will I eat here again...goodbye slow guys read more

My boyfriend and I came here the other day and spent $25 worth of food and I was NOT impressed at all. I haven't been to five guys in a while since this visit but when I did go they were fairly exceptional but this visit was not. Our burgers were very small, we didn't get many fries which is unheard of and they switched their jalapeños from pickled to fresh which I wasn't happy with.
