Goodness me! These reviews read like a horror novel! It's almost as if this location is located in "heck," that slightly better place located between purgatory and "fire and brimstone." As far as Five Guys go, the burger met expectations. It was well assembled and made as requested (Little Bacon Cheeseburger, all the way + Jalapeños). The ingredients seemed well balanced and fresh. I feel as though two patties (i.e. the regular as opposed to 'little') would have been a better bet. I also have no complaints about the service or the cleanliness of the location. There is just one thing... prices. So, let's talk about it. For the same basic meal (burger, fries, drink), Five Guys charges roughly double what McDonald's does ($10 vs $20). Sure, you get a slightly bigger portion and higher quality, but is it worth double? I'm not prepared to answer either way. What I can tell you, is the same combo at The Capital Burger on Newbury Street in Boston is only a couple dollars above 5G. My numbers might be a little off, but the point stands. There is absolutely a time and place for fast food, and fast casual. However, 5G does not exist in a vacuum. Fresh made to order burgers and fries that will feed the whole family. When in the mood for a burger that isn't BK or McDonald's, Five Guys generally fits the bill. Burgers are either single patty (Little) or double (hamburger, cheeseburger). Then the customizations are all up to you ranging from condiments to various veggie toppings. My complaint with my burger was that the meat tasted unseasoned. That aside, it tastes like what I'd make at a backyard BBQ. Fries are amazing though! I had to wait for fresh fries to come off the fryer when I went to pick up my order. Regardless of the size of fries you order, they seem to put one extra scoop into the bag. Terrible experience today! One drink machine was out completely and the other served me a flat root beer and a flat coke and had no ice either! So I settled for an iced tea but not iced cause there was no ice! The fries were barely warm and tasted like they had been there for too long. They were not fresh. Honestly, the worst five guys I've ever been to. I ordered a cheeseburger all the way (minus ketchup, mayo, mustard) and they instead gave be a regular burger. That one was partially on me as I didn't double check the order as I usually expect them to be able to hear the order and I was tired. The worse part was that the burger itself only had lettuce, patties, and pickles. I understand they were out of tomatoes and they told me so but that doesn't excuse the rest of the ingredients missing. They didn't put the ingredients I ordered or payed for on it. When they handed me the bag I pointed at the receipt attached to the bag and asked if that's what they were giving me and I got a "I think so" response. Waste of money and time. I ordered a little cheeseburger, all the way style. It was delicious and fresh. Keep in mind that it is not so little. It's a good size. I also ordered small fries (wish they gave me more though). Not vegetarian/vegan friendly. I know, why would a vegan come to a burger joint in the first place? Well my meat loving boyfriend wanted to try out the new location by his house. My plan was to get a regular fries and add toppings to it like I would a burger. When I asked the cashier for this she asked her manager if they could do that and he said no right away. The cashier suggested the "veggie" sandwich but the buns aren't vegan and I wasn't going to pay almost $4 for a pile of toppings and another $4 for fries. So I ordered a small regular fries and ate that for my meal. My boyfriends burger came out great and the fries are really tasty. I'd recommend this place to someone without food restrictions. I am disgusted. I walked into five guys and after ordering my food witnessed an employee reaching into the bacon container to grab bacon with his bare hands. Tried to give him the benefit of the doubt thinking that he may have been grabbing from the trash pile, but no it was before our burgers were made he reached his hand in and touched the bacon that would be on our food. There was another woman who from the start was rushing out order, but then proceeded to cough all over the grill. Continuing to drop food and have inappropriate banter with the one who touched our food after eating on break and didn't even wash his hands. Creating a Yelp account just to review this 5 Guys location. Every time you go here, your order will be late. I have had to cancel two orders because they never even started making my food (after 20-40 minutes of waiting). Often during a busy time, one worker is making the food, running around like a mad man, while another worker is spacing out doing nothing. Yet during slow times, I will order ahead of time, arrive after the scheduled pick up time, none of the workers will be busy, but my food still won't be ready. When they are able to actually complete my order, they will often get it wrong! Several times, a guy will hand me my bag, and the fries will be missing, or I'll have ordered a shake, and he'll walk away without making it for me, and before I can even ask him to get it. I guess this store is making money, and don't care about the bad customer service? They're located on a college campus, so it is busy. But hopefully karma will come around, and people will stop going. read more

Most Five Guys locations are a 5 for me just normally, but this one, being new, still has a few kinks to work out. In particular, they're a bit slow on the fries. I don't think they've quite worked out the timing, especially at the beginning of a lunch or dinner rush. I've still gone here about 10 times since they've opened, so it's not enough to keep me away, but it is enough to just be a little frustrating. Most Five Guys locations don't have that issue. Last time I was there, my burger was wrapped up and waiting for fries for a solid 10 minutes or so. They'd put down a fresh batch of fries, give it to the order ahead of me, then put out another batch of fries and give that to the order ahead of me as well, all while my burger was sitting wrapped up next to the bag. read more

I realize it's a burger place, but I won't get burgers there because they are overcooked and overpriced. The fries are gross too.
