Came in during busy lunch time, dude at the counter kept the line moving, served all customers with a smile, got my order right, saved me $ by offering combo meal. Lady in the kitchen even came up front to confirm my special order. Fries were crispy and soda was stocked and perfect. Yeah, yeah, I know. I give McDonald's five, Popeyes four, Burger King three, and Wendy's two. You might be asking what's wrong with me. I have been asking myself the same question since I was about 12. Perhaps, in this case, I haven't completely lost my mind. So... I appreciate that Wendy's may use fresh (not frozen) beef. However, unless we are talking A5 Wagyu, without seasoning the flavors are practically nil. This is especially true when cooked to a well-done. Fresh flip-flops are still flip-flops! Making matters worse, the Dave's Single I ordered had a very dry mouthfeel, despite the veggies; a case where I went back to the counter for a drink. Next, while the burger was generally well-assembled, I found the three pickles were placed on top of one another vs. spread out. To not be all doom and gloom: I did enjoy the fries which tasted relatively crisp for something under a lamp and were well-seasoned. The service was polite, though a manager in the kitchen loudly expressing disapproval over a staff mistake makes for a less-than-awesome environment. Competition in the fast-food space is fierce, and there is no shortage of fast-food and fast-casual restaurants within a mile radius. Therefore, with McDonald's seasoning their patties and not producing burgers as dry as a bone, I think the choice is clear. read more

This Wendy's is habitually understaffed, and under trained, I really wish I took a picture every time I've tried to order in the lobby and stood there for 20 minutes when there's only seven cars outside and three other people eating there. Never mind how many times myself, and as I've witnessed plenty of other people have pulled their cars out of line because they are so insanely slow. I wish I could tell you that I was a salty customer who witnessed this once, but living a few miles from here it has been consistent for at least 10 years . This Wendy's location is always pack . Luckily for me and the guys, it was empty when we drove by. I decided to be original and got their Dave's single, spicy nuggets, and fries. The fries was well seasoned , spicy nuggets had a good kick, burger was ok. Overall, Wendy's isn't bad. I recommend this location because it was newly renovated and seems very clean. read more

Drive through is 15 minutes in a rate good day. Wait times can be over 30 minutes. Very understaffed. Some of the employees are very nice but others are very unprofessional. My orders are usually correct but you always need to check before driving away. I don't understand how the manager / owners are ok with the way this location operates. Most of the employees of this Wendy's restaurant are hardworking people. But older Asian female employee working at drive-thru during night-shift is extremely rude and unprofessional. She is unable to respond drive-thru customers in a timely fashion, holds the line unattended for a long-time probably due to under-manning and has audacity to yell at both customers and courier drivers. She also doesn't hesitate to scold delivery drivers on petty issues under false pretenses and refuses to hand over mobile-orders to drivers when confronted. The restaurant management needs to consider revisiting manning issues and employee refreshment training or otherwise new reassignment to this position that requires strong communication skills to better interact with the community that they had committed to serve read more

Was told after sitting in the drive thru line that they didn't get the order and it usually took a while for them to get online orders and I should come back. No apology. No suggestion to simply order again. Didn't seem to care. Came back, went through the long line again...it was now over 45 minutes since I ordered. Still nothing. So I re-ordered but less than I had online yet it was almost the same price. Suspicious. Had to pay a second time. Trying to contact customer service to remove the charge for the food I never got has been a nightmare. If they can't handle taking online orders they shouldn't offer the option because it seems like just drive through orders are too much for this location. Worst Wendy's in Massachusetts if not the world. This was my second time at this location. This first time was mediocre. The fries were wimpy and greasy, but I was able to eat some of the chicken. Tonight I didn't plan dinner and it was getting late, and I was out and in the area and I was hungry. I decided to give it another try. I went through the drive thru. I ordered the cod sandwich and small fries. When I got to the window the woman confirmed that I ordered fish and fries. I said yes, and took my food. I reached for a fry, as I pulled off. It was really hot, but soft, greasy, and wimpy like the last time. Ok no big deal, I don't have to eat the fries. I get home and open my sandwich, and it's a cheeseburger, not fish. I am so hungry, and I can't drive back. It's just not worth it. So, I take a bite. It's cooked medium. Pink inside. I took another bite, and just tosses it along with the fries into the garage. I can't believe this is Wendy's. The restaurant on Newport Ave is amazing. I've never had a problem there. But this place is horrible. I will never go back there. It's GROSS. read more
