First I love 5 guys burgers. I came to this location last night to get my burger and Fries fix. So I placed my usual order of a bacon cheese burger and lg cajun fries. When I brought my bag to my table I noticed my burger was unusually small. I rechecked the receipt and noticed that the cashier made it all the way instead of everything as I initially ordered it. I brought the burger back to the cashier and informed her of her mistake and she turned towards the cook of the situation and he decided to cop an attitude. He asked if he could just add the extra ingredients on the side or if we wanted him to remake it. I asked him if he could remake it and he did which was a mistake. When he made it, it was with extra everything. Extra jalapenos, extra mayo, extra onions, extra lettuce, extra pickles, extra bbq sauce, extra hot sauce and to top it off he burnt the bun to a crisp. When I tried to take a bite out of the burger, the burger fell apart and was unedible and unappetizing. I called their 866 number and left a complaint. Hopefully a manager will contact me about the poor customer service I received at this location. For now I will go to In N Out or the 5 Guys in Fremont as I have always receive excellent customer service at those locations. read more

The burgers are very good. The fries are good too but I suggest ordering a small order of fries instead of a large as they dump a scoop of fries in your bag. The burgers are rather large so consider the little size ones (which would be on par with in-n-out double double size) read more

I love their fries - thick cut and fried in peanut oil! I like In-n-out's fries too though those are more thinly cut. Yes, you need wads of paper to drain the excess fat, but these are from fresh cut potatoes, not semi-processed, frozen and shipped across the country as with many big chains. The staff has always been cheerful. Service is a breeze. I am a vegetarian, so can't say anything of their burgers but my colleagues troop there religiously on a weekly basis for their meat fill. There are several other eateries in the complex, so it is pretty crowded during lunch. Did I mention that they have free roasted-in-shell peanuts? :-) read more

Like it's a secret this place is great, right? Perfect burgers, the cajun fries...even peanuts to eat while you wait. They also have an app that lets you order your food through your phone/tablet. I open the app, select my saved "usual" order, and that's it....I drive to the restaurant. Payment is done through the app, so I show up and they give me my food...no line to wait in. How can you beat that? I used to think it was necessary to wait in line for a good burger--like waiting at an In-and-Out drive-thru. No more. We frequently visit this one. Their chicken feels to be of better quality or it may be the way they cook it. Only once or twice I've had something that felt like refried and it was around their closing time so may be it really was. During lunch hours the line for drive through spiraled around in the parking lot one time. Weekend is busy too. Service is fairly good. I like some of their dips/sauces. read more

New location on 1st plaza. All you can expect of a good american burger. Nothing fancy, but what you expect of a burger, for a very good price. Pros: Staff is nice, energetic and pragmatic. Burger is good. Price is good. Fries are yummy. Provides several options and format of burgers to tailor the number of calories. Cons: Restricted seating. Feels more like a "on-the-go" place. Either I'm hated here or I'm just unlucky but I've had terrible service at the North First Street location. First mistake was getting my order wrong. Even the receipt said I wanted a bacon cheeseburger, but i got a regular cheeseburger. So i got charged bacon but didn't receive any. Second, they missed some toppings i asked for and the Cajun fries. Didn't pay extra for nothing this time at least. Both times I already took it home, so I didn't bother telling them my order was wrong. So make sure you check your food before you eat it, i guess. And last but not least, occurred recently hence this review. While eating my food, i found one of those clips to close bags of buns in my food. They did however, give me an extra free one so that's a plus. I'll give them a 4 for taste, minus 3 for errors, and plus 1 for attempting to remedy the situation. Maybe it's just bad luck but I've been here no more than 7 times and have been unsatisfied over half the time. I'm done with this place. Burger was decent - nothing special. Fries were crispy (almost crunchy) and very greasy - not really how I like them, though they were made fresh on-site. The place was loud and very busy - almost like being at a carnival. Limited menu (no milkshakes which was a disappointment). Yah so I tried 5 guys for the first time. I went in ordered the regular cheeseburger (double burger) with onions bell peppers and barbeque sauce. the clerk asked me if I wanted fries and a soda. So i got the regular size and Cajun fries. Then the cashier says OK that will be $11.45 I'm like wtf, So I paid and I soon realized when I saw the fry guy over in the corner shaking Cajun salt all over the normal fries that this was my Cajun style fries YAY. waited about 5 minutes got my grease bag of fries and my burger. the Burger tasted like one you could make at home nothing special. I will not be going back to this place anytime soon. In and out is better and alot cheaper. I had high hopes for this place but was let down by the prices. read more

I went to this Five Guys location for the first time, and i was very surprised at how good the service was. It wasn't very busy when I was there, and one of the workers (Thomas) was walking around asking everybody how the food was. I definitely wasn't expecting that at a fast food chain. Anyways, I only ordered cajun fries but they were really good so i dont really have anything to say about the quality of their burgers. Got the all-the-way cheeseburger because I love my toppings! I am not a fan of steak fries so none of those for me. You can snack on unlimited peanuts as you wait. The place is kind of small and there is only 1 bathroom. There is a small patio for outdoor seating. This is a nice burger joint if you want a break from in-n-out. It was our first time at this place and the guy at the cashier was so nice and let us know what's up with it. My boyfriend ordered the bigger burger, and I ordered the small one. The cashier let us know we an help ourselves to some peanuts while we waited. The place is clean, kinda reminds me of IN and Out. Our burgers were ready and they were so good! So were the fries. I love Five Guys but my experience at this location was horrible. I ate here last night and brought a friend. It was their first time eating at a Five Guys. Sadly this location did not deliver. After 3 bites into the burger he felt a hard object and spit it out. Turned out to be a large broken piece of glass cooked into the meat. No bueno. We had to throw everything out to ensure Five Guys didn't kill us. Seriously. This was a lawsuit in the making. I don't know how this happened but it was very dangerous and unsettling. Super unprofessional! I ordered my food and the young man who was new messed up so I corrected him and he said he would fix it. I saved my receipt just incase because I had a feeling the order was going to be wrong . And it was so I went back inside and got nothing but excuses from another employee who claimed to be the manager which I could tell he was clearly not for the way he poorly handled the situation! If you mess up on your end you should take care of the customer for your inconvenience not make them pay the extra dollar ! I wanted to see what the hype was all about. My first couple of visits where nothing to write home about....not bad or anything but nothing special. However, I gave it another chance and I'm starting to "see the light". The burgers are pretty nice. You just need to figure out what you like from all the choices. Unless you are a big eater, you can probably go with the small size burger. Don't worry...it's still a good size! It is on the pricey side as others have commented. All in all, a nice place to have in the neighborhood for a once-in-a-while treat (i.e. when you don't feel like Sweet Tomato's, Panda Express, Panera, etc and all those other new places in the strip!!!) read more
