Hmmm, I'm a bit disappointed with my last visit but I won't boycott indefinitely as I try to support food trucks until they turn into a brick and mortar. I ordered the hot link (#10 on the menu) which is a hot link topped off with grilled onions, jalapeños, mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard. By the time I got home, the hot dog bun was so soggy - it basically melted in the box. I couldn't eat it :( I will update this review the next time I try something else on their menu. I think the trick is to eat whatever you order right when you receive it. Cash only.

Between hot dogs and hamburgers - I'm definitely a hot dog fan but there are very few places in the area! This truck has been on my wishlist for the longest time. When we went to the flea market this weekend and saw this truck, I knew it was time! The menu is fairly straightforward and the cashier was quite friendly. I ordered a number 1 - bacon wrapped hot dog with ketchup, mustard, mayo, jalapeños, onions at $5. The order came out quite fast and I was impressed by how it looked! It was saucy - tart and creamy, beyond savory with lovely textures from the veggies. We will definitely return and try the other hot dogs.

Vanessa's hot dogs are so good! I ordered the bacon wrapped hot link and the regular bacon wrapped hot dog. I thought the hot dogs looked small at first (must've been from staring at the giant hot dogs on the truck), but it's actually pretty filling. The truck is parked in a small lot in front of the Tropicana Liquor store. There are several spots for parking but it's usually full when I come here. I just park behind the hot dog truck since it's pretty quick. Will definitely be back!

Good stuff as usually, I only wish they used a larger hotdog. I ordered#1 again and everything was fresh and tasty!

We used to come here often as my wife loves their Elotes En Vaso but the last few times we've gone, the chile they use for the corn is extremely salty to where we throw away the top portion to get rid of the chile and salt. Please take the salt out of the chile! Its so salty that you actually feel the salt burn.

Vanessa's hot dogs are SO good!! I don't even like mustard, mayo, or jalapenos but the combination of those ingredients on this hot dog are literally delicious. The bacon is super crispy, the onions are caramelized perfectly, and the flavors just combine perfectly. I do wish the bun was more toasted though because towards the end the bun got really soggy and fell apart. But other than that, these hot dogs are delicious and I highly recommend!

We were out shopping in San Jose so we finally decided to drive to Vanessas hot dogs in San Jose. They're on Story Rd just east of Capitol in the Tropicana liquors lot. Bacon wrapped hot dogs were delicious! We ordered and were out of there in 15 minutes.

BOMB! I mean, you can't go wrong with a bacon wrapped hotdog (..unless you're vegan). Always fresh, but also always busy! Expect to wait in line especially anytime after 4:00pm. On our recent trip we got 6 hotdogs of various combinations for about $24 cash. Not bad! Try it out!

2 hot links wrapped in bacon

**Cash only** I found out about this place from a friend and wooow. These hot links were bomb. They are pretty small in my opinion but they are very generous with toppings. I also got a chance to try their elote which was also really good (don't get it in a cup though because it gets watery). We ordered 6 hot dogs & 1 elote in a cup for $41. I say it was definitely worth it. We came on a Wednesday night - no lines - about a 10 minute wait for all of our food. Definitely check this place out :)

Located my Tropicana liquor on Story road. A food truck that tickles your taste buds. They just expanded their menu. Now added burger and fries and elotes (Mexican style corn on the cob). Their bacon wrapped hot dog is their original claim to fame. It's bacon wrapped and full of Mexican goodies like onions jalapeños sour cream. It is soooo good. They've added burgers and my hubby thinks it's the best burger in town. I alive live their elotes. If you wanna eat here bring your drink because they do Not sell it. Come back for more

The hot dog reminds of the smell when the vendors would sell on the street Mexican hot dogs wrapped in bacon during the Giants World Series Championship parades and sometimes they will be stand by in mission or any ball game at Oracle park. This one is something new and me and friend tried it out it's good! Will comeback again for more

So delicious every single time and this time was no different. There's limited parking and you can either order inside or at the taco truck. There are areas to sit and wait for your order and tables to eat at. I ordered three al pastor tacos. There was a bit of a wait but it was worth it. So good as always. I literally scarfed my tacos down with salsa and grilled onions. My friend ordered a carne asada burrito which he said was super filling and the perfect amount of food. I ordered from the truck, then went into the store to collect my drink, and then came back out to sit in the dining area, where I also collected any sauces I wanted. Definitely need to work for your meal and get your steps in. The condiments and sauces are in a cart with plastic cups with lids provided. There weren't that many options of sauces when I ate here but it was fine. The birrias and lengua tacos were so good. All the tacos came with two small tortillas to hold in the heaping amount of meat. The horchata here is had more cream than I'm used to. Like more milk was added or something, not enough spices or flavors added in IMO. Ordering was easy, I felt rushed, but it was the waiting to hear my number that was difficult. Listening for the number in the dining area while the music was blasting was difficult, so it's better to wait by the truck. Parking is limited but there are always cars coming and going so if you can wait a little, a spot will open up.

I've had my fair share of tusok-tusok experiences in California and I mean it when I say that I am happy this place opened up. I think prices are pretty fair for a bbq stick in the Bay Area. They carry pork bbq, hot dogs, intestine, kwek-kwek, bettamax, pig ears, etc! Although I wish they had fishball or squid ball for even more variety but thats ok. They provide a marinade to brush on while you grill your own BBQ and provide vinegar and another sweet sauce for you to dip it in post-grilling. Overall, the flavor is really good and you can't really go wrong. They carry other items on the menu in which they serve to you such as sisig, pares, siaomai, empanada (available weekends only), lumpia, melon juice, etc. And yes they have rice! I wish I took pictures of the food we ordered but the kids got to it first while we were bbqing. We went on a Thursday evening so it wasn't too crowded but they still kept the party going with karaoke and music. I could imagine the place being full on weekends. The parking could also get tricky in that area if full too. They take cash, Zelle, and card (with surcharge). The grill is located inside in the center of the restaurant so it gets pretty smoky inside even with all the doors open and vents running. So expect to smell like delicious bbq coming out lol.

Sometimes they provide green tomatillo sauce on top of the traditional orange sauce, which is great for cutting through the grease and cheese as it's tangy and sweet. We tried the Magnolia Chop for the first time and while this was great too, the hot link makes everything slightly saltier than I'm used to and is much more heavy and filling. I'll stick with the cheesesteak or chop cheese next time but will try more of their menu items going forward. Food arrives quickly even during the crowds and long lines at the night market. I've never waited more than 35 minutes combined for both the line to order and being called for our number to pick up our food.
