Five Guys is overrated and expensive. The fries are GREASY, so much that the paper bag is drenched and will stain your car seat. The burger bun is like wonder bread, and the toppings remind me of a 7-11 condiment bar. The beef itself is juicy, and tastes good. I will give them that! I do like their peanuts as well-not overcooked and tasty. Maybe they should specialize in peanuts? I will still go and get a burger at five guys when I need a quick burger. I can't believe I'm giving five guys a one star rating! I love this place! But this five guys is beyond pathetic... I ordered 3 burgers, 2 hotdogs, 1 fry, & 3 shakes. He said it would be about 10 minutes, I got there in about 10 minutes and nothing was ready. I couldn't get anybody to take my money. I saw my food just starting to be prepared. I wasn't expecting much when I was dragged along to some new burger place, but I was very surprised. Immediately, I noticed how clean the restaurant was and the free peanuts at the door. Who doesn't like free peanuts? The cashier was very friendly and quickly gave us a rundown of what to expect. We were expertly guided to choose a regular order of cajun fries, and I settled for a regular hamburger (comes with 2 patties!) The best part? All the toppings you want for free! Of course I added almost everything, including onion, grilled onion, grilled mushrooms, green peppers, pickles, lettuce, tomato, jalapeno, and BBQ sauce. Finally, we eat.! The regular order of cajun fries was enormous, as well as enormously delicious. Nice heavy coating of cajun spice, but not too salty! The burger did not taste like it was fast food at all. Very meaty, juicy, and the toppings were amazing. I would definitely recommend the BBQ sauce on any burger. It's no wonder this place is quickly gaining popularity. read more

I didn't believe I'd been to or reviewed this one and was in the area, had some time to kill, kinda hungry but really basing it on what was in the fountain and sure it sounds kind of dumb, but I can always count on Five Guys to be good about the Coke Zero. Layout of this place, in a work, sucks, all the way from the parking lot (not their fault) to the interior tables, which make working at my laptop over lunch a chore (definitely their fault). I went with my usual (to have it my way, choose either single or double patty, add cheese, bacon, mushrooms, jalapenos, A-1 sauce and get thee face full. Sometimes I will also add green peppers and less frequently a little splash of lettuce, but that's more of an option; the other toppings are standard.) and skipped the fries because I was feeling overly fat and I'd rather have a face full of nuts anyway, delicious, salty nuts, made wet by...the uhhh Coke Zero. I digress. Anyway, burger was cooked acceptably, but they got kind of skimpy on the toppings, which threw the tone of the damn thing off. If made right, the burger my way is a symphony of balanced perfection. This one did not make it there. It was, in fact, not at all sloppy, which immediately told me something was at least a little off. Sure, it was lunch and the way they have the structuring, any line puts people's asses directly into whoever is seated by the register, so I'm supposing they were trying to hurry, but they were slow by most Five Guys' standards. Nothing was wrong, per se, but a lot of other locations have done a lot better. Even the Coke Zero mix was off a bit, actually...this is another that will do in a pinch but I wouldn't make it a point to go there or anything. read more

I really enjoy five guys, my entire experience tonight was ruined because the entitled girl who worked the closing shift on Wednesday the 16th of May threw a fit from the moment we walked in (20 minutes before close) she rolled her eyes multiple times- I was surprised at the amount of time someone could roll their eyes in such a short amount of time. And she was saying things loudly and obviously like "I'm over this" and "I hate them" in the 20 minutes we waited, 4 more customers came in and her fit of rage grew more and more obvious as time went on. She was an absolute joke and made your store feel unwelcome. The manager and other employees were more than nice and helpful. The food is great. Without her I give this place 5 stars. Two of the greatest mysteries in the world are...1) Why can't In N' Out figure out there fries need fixing? and 2) Why can't Five Guys figure out that their buns crumble and leave you with a mess? I like there burgers and love their fries, but I get annoyed with how the bun at Five Guys basically just disintegrates on you mid-meal and you are trying to figure out how to hold it with a couple of fingers while it all slops around. That may be someone's preferred way of being all American with their burger. I'm not saying I need to be all European and pull out a knife and fork to eat a burger... My wife and I have eaten here at least 2 dozen times and it has always been great. We haven't been for a few months and decided to stop in since we were in the area. The staff was really rough looking and completely disorganized. It looks like a change of management since we used to frequent this place. Both of our orders were completely wrong as was the table next to us. I ordered a bacon burger and they forgot the bacon. I went up and told them and the guy handed me 2 cold pieces of pre cooked bacon. He literally places the bacon into my hand. It was slightly humorous but was also most likely the last visit for me. Very good burger; just understand that in Five Guys' world, a "Little Cheeseburger" is a regular-sized burger, and a "Cheeseburger" is actually a double. I like that you can choose from a list of toppings, and I appreciate the generous portion of fries (1 regular fries will feed two people). Try to avoid the busy times as the wait can get pretty long. However, I gotta dock them a star for their disappointing bun. They use basic (and flavorless) sesame-seed buns, the same kind you can get in bulk at Costco. If I'm paying premium prices for a burger, I expect premium ingredients top to bottom. I want to first start off by saying that the GM at this location was so kind & generous after the worst experience of customer service I've had with one of the staff members at this location. My friend and I were calling in regards to see where the new location of Five Guys was. On the phone, I had a young boy (very immature) belittle me when I asked the simple question of where they were located. He didn't answer the question but instead laughed, yelled and mocked me by saying "What are you talking about, we're right here!" We finally found the location on our own and when we walked in instead of getting greeted the short little employee goes "you're the one I just talked to in the phone." I told him he made me feel like an idiot on the phone and he replied with "well yeah." He was so obnoxious I had to make sure he wasn't going to spit in my food. Rude staff! The food has always been great but today the service that I experienced in the Sandy Utah location was beyond terrible. The gal(she said her name is Sally) taking my order was not helpful in placing a large order. As I selected the toppings for the burgers it became a cluster. I commented that it was so confusing and she responded "you're the confused one". Rather than say something I regret I said that I can't order from u and walked away. I wrote the order on paper for the whole family gave my mom my credit card and my mom went to place the order. The male (who said his name was William) taking her order insisted on seeing my ID (looking back now it seemed as if he was trying to get me back to the counter to add his 2 cents). As I went to the counter "William" took it as an opportunity to tell me that I was the problem and how I was the rude one. I told him that Sally should not talk to customers the way she did. I was looking for the names of the employees on their shirts or a badge and William said "you need glasses or something cause you look old". I took back my credit card and told him to cancel the order He then proceeded to tell me to leave and reiterated it by telling me to "get out". I asked him if he was the manger and he responded by saying he is a manager in training. I told him that I would like to speak to the manager and William said he would love to get the manager so he could watch him throw me out himself. I asked William if he thought the owners would appreciate how he represented the restaurant and William said that he didn't care about the owners or what I told them because they steal from him anyways. Kameron who said he was the manager eventually came and talked to me at the counter. Interestingly enough he seemed to defend William and Sandy. He tried to interpret what she meant to say rather than explain why or what she said. He didn't believe that she told me that I was the confused one. All I know is that I was starving and the additional 6 members of my family were hungry too. I have never been spoken to in the fashion while soliciting a business. I was about to leave $60 for some burgers fries and shakes. What happened to the customers always right (within reason right!?). I will be contacting the general manager and will see how they resolve this situation. I get that unemployment is low and maybe there r slim Pickens for employees but come on! read more

This place might be good to some people if you like greasy food, but not for me. Their portions are huge. The menu is easy and the food does comes quick. But the one time I have gone there, ordered the bacon cheeseburger with additional ingredients (in which they do have a big selection to add to your burger) i got my order to go. I grabbed the bag and when I got home I noticed the bag was soaked so I wondered why it was drenched on the bottom, at first i thought it was something that spilled but i didn't get any sauces.. so when I opened up everything, it just was greasy. It's the type of meal that will make you want to go on a detox cleanse after you eat because it makes you feel gross afterwards. A great "go to" burger spot, and my favorite of the "chain" burgers. (In-n-out, Smashburger, etc...) They keep the place clean, the employees are always 75% more cheerful than you would expect, and they consistently church out great burgers. The variety of burger toppings, paired with their quality and freshness score major points in my book. I'm a fan of the grilled mushrooms, grilled onions, and their BBQ sauce. I'm with the people that say it's overrated. Burger and fries were definitely good, fries were more outstanding than the burger. The menu board does not make it clear that the regular cheeseburger is actually a double cheeseburger, that was way too much meat for my husbands taste and not what he expected.
