This isn't my first rodeo to Mooyah Burgers! This place delivers time and time again. Their burgers are extremely good and I feel like fairly priced as well. And their fries were also very delicious. I'm not a big fries person so that's saying a lot. I also do like that. They have their sauces in a mini fridge and it keeps cold and it's also unlimited sauce which I do like. As for the service, it was good nothing out of the ordinary, but they took our order and delivered our food and it was nice. As for the ambience, there was quite a bit of people and they had the Savannah Bananas playing on the TV. Never watched them before, but they were quite funny. We decided to give MOOYAH a shot for the first time, and while a few aspects of our visit were pleasant, the overall meal fell short of expectations. ​Starting with the positives: the team was fantastic. The cashier was super friendly and took the time to help us navigate the menu since we were new. The restaurant itself is spacious and clean, and they have nice outdoor seating if you prefer to eat outside. ​Unfortunately, the food was a mixed bag: ​Turkey Burger (Lettuce Wrap): I ordered mine customized with mushrooms, Swiss, and green chiles. It was just okay, mainly because the lettuce wrap itself was a bit on the older side and lacked freshness. ​Burgers & Value: My husband got a double burger and his friend got a single. Both of them complained about the size--the patties were surprisingly small, especially given the prices. It just didn't feel like a good value for the money. ​Fries: We shared regular fries and our friend got the sweet potato fries. They were fine, but nothing extravagant or particularly memorable. ​Reese's Shake: This was the biggest disappointment. It was essentially a cup of whipped cream with massive, unchopped clumps of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups sitting at the bottom rather than blended throughout. First time visit, had heard good things. We were advised by the cashier that a Sharing size of fries was a very large, probably more than two of us would want. That was good advice. Nice environment, there lots of families with small children. Plenty of intriguing burger choices. I'm a sucker for green Chile so I got the Best Quesanario, which doubles as a great play on words. Everything tasted great. Only issue was we at the end of our meal, we found something that shouldn't have been in our fries. We brought this to their attention and no action was taken. I had ordered to go as I was coming back from work and wanted to eat a burger and I was pleasantly surprised with the burger and fries here. I had ordered The MCD as a combo and the burger was perfectly loaded with just the right amount of ingredients instead of being stuffed to the brim and falling out. The bun was soft and toasty, and the fries were perfectly done with a crispy exterior and fluffy interior. The sauce on the side went well with both items too. My family stopped at his burger joint after going to the Hale Center Theater! The kids were hungry and it hit the spot. The meat was good and they have generous fry portions. The restaurant was clean and the fountain sodas were available to refill. Mooyah Burgers had sauces available and refrigerated but they tasted like over-processed and unimaginative staples of ranch, ketchup, and thousand island. I'll start off with the positive, the interior is modern and pretty neat looking for a fast food burger joint. The food was very much ok, the patties were decent, but they decided to over do it on the sauce and the buns were the worst part (not even toasted,cold actually). Nobody wants a cold bun to go with their hot burger, my bun was soggy in a couple minutes. The fries while they were fried nicely and had a decent salt ratio were a grease ball to where I couldn't eat but half. The staff was ok service wise. I've reviewed this before, but I have to do another. The Bacon BBQ Cheeseburger was superb. First, again, their wonderful, fluffy buns, so fresh. Their meat is excellent, juicy and tender. I really like how they grill their onions. All the flavors really hit the spot. It may have become my favorite burger. The fries are excellent. For the duration of our meal, the exterior maintained its light, crispy texture. The fries were not greasy at all and it had good potato flavor. I've really not noticed a good potato flavor in any fry before. Combined with their good fry sauce (I usually am not a fan of fry sauce) was really a great companion to my burger. They leave the potato skins on the fries and that is a good thing. The end "left-over" crispies of fries are excellent. My wife had the lettuce wrapped burger. You can see from my photo how beefy it really is. Mooyah Burgers continues to deliver. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. The burger buns were like memory foam and conformed to my fingers in the grip. From there I could stuff my mouth with the goodness of handmade beef patties and's all the goodness. They also have keto burgers with lettuce in place of bun and a turkey blend for meat. The fries are yummy and just crispy at the edges for a great taste. They are coated with a blend of salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. You can greet sweet potato fries as well. Tractor drinks for the win! I have to say, these are now my favorite burgers! This place always seems to be so busy and now I know why. Although they were so busy, service was still pretty quick and when tables opened up they were quick to clean them. I had an Oreo shake which was pretty good. And on to the best part, the food! I'm a big fan of A1 on my hamburgers and Mooyah actually has an A1 burger with grilled onions and A1 sauce, it was so flavorful and really hit the spot! The fries were seasoned really well and they have the fry seasoning and fry sauce out for self service so make sure to get as much seasoning as you like. And by the way, just a word of warning, a side of fries is huge and had we known we prob would have just gotten 1 fry for the 4 of us but we did get 2 and had plenty of leftover fries to take home. This is a good place for a burger. Kids meals are $6.99, not bad. I like that they do an awesome "protein style" or lettuce wrapped burger, best one I have had done that way in SLC County. I would compare MOOYAH to a Smash Burger of Habits, in that genre, but better than Habits. Their shakes are okay, and fries are a natural cut with most of the skin left on. I went to Mooya with my coworkers. They have kiosks to order from (also a person but that line was longer). I got a mushroom Swiss burger with a turkey patty and made it a combo. Food came out pretty fast. The bun is delicious! The patty tasted juicy, which is hard for turkey patties sometimes. My fries were super fresh and crispy. I did have to go back up and ask for a cup for my drink. My coworkers also really liked their burgers. They ordered a large side of sweet potato fries that was huge. This location has limited seating so there were tons of people standing around with their trays of food, waiting for a table to open up. Would love to see them expand or even figure out some sort of bar seating option. The fries were my favorite and we got a half / half shareable which was pretty big. Their fry sauce is also pretty good, might have had a hint of pickles in it. But all their condiments are in a Fridge and people kept taking them to their tables instead is squeezing them out into the little cups. So the counter area was also kind of cluttered because of that. In comparison to other options, I'd say I prefer The Habit Burger burgers...but Mooyahs sweet potato fries are better. I will dream about their fries. We went around 530 on a Monday and they were packed, and a little understaffed. They have kiosks where you can order on your own, and a soda fountain where you fill up what you want, so that helps. We were all more than satisfied with our burger and shake selections, but particularly enjoyed the "best quesonario" in both name and taste. Clean facility and friendly workers! We ordered a cheeseburger, fries, strawberry shake, and cookie dough shake. The bun on the cheeseburger was super soft and the moo sauce on the burger was so good. They give you a ton of fries which were a little soft but overall good! The shakes are not thick so you can drink with a straw but the cookie dough shake just has full pieces of cookie dough at the bottom so you have to dig them out with a spoon. I live ten miles away, when i got home i had entirely the wrong order. it was rush hour and i called the store. i asked to speak with the manager and i was told there was no manager on duty. Dinner time and they have no manager? the employee said he was the one who messed up and i should come back for a replacement. i explained the distance and time issue and asked for a refund since he was certain of the issue. i was told a refund was not possible, but just mention it the next time i come in. I don't usually leave reviews, but I felt this experience was worth mentioning. This was my first time ever trying Mooyah, not just this location, and unfortunately it wasn't very pleasant. I ordered two combo meals and was told they were out of ice. When I asked what their best-selling milkshake was because we wanted to try one, the employee responded with an attitude and discouraged me from ordering it, saying it would hold up my order since they were already backed up on milkshakes. When I received my order, the two ranches I asked for were missing. I had to ask again, and when I reminded her I asked for two, she handed the second one to me with an attitude. Love this place. I don't eat bread of any kind, so I love that they offer lettuce wrapped burgers. I also love that it's the right amount of lettuce and doesn't feel like I'm eating a whole head of lettuce with a bit of beef. (Though they are quite messy because of how juicy everything is....because lettuce just doesn't soak up those juices like a bun does) The sweet potato fries are even better than the regular fries, in my opinion. I happened to see MOOYAH by chance driving south on state street. I like the name, it's fun and made me want to check it out. I knew it would be burgers from the name. I placed an online order which stated ready in ten minutes. Which it was ready, surprisingly, in 10 minutes. Wild, I know. Fast forward to going through the contents. I could smell the salty oily goodness radiating off the fries... I've been misled by great smelling fries before but let down with taste. I can honestly say these are the most incredible fries I've ever had in my life. They are skin on, slightly crunchy at the edges yet soft. The seasoning amount and type they used is perfect. I wouldn't change a thing. Honestly I might start coming here just for an order of fries. Utah fry sauce is served in the side. I also ordered a classic burger with cheese and had pickles and onions added. From the first bite I can tell they are using quality ingredients. Everything tasted fresh and I really like the buns they're using, which is a square potato bun. Lastly I ordered the Farmers Punch, which was delicious, sorta reminds me of Capri Sun, which is good because I actually enjoy that juice. MOOYAH has turned me into a fan. My husband said it was one of the best burgers he's had. Both the regular fries and the sweet potato fries were yummy. I actually preferred the sweet potatoes ones a little more, but that always may preference but both were really good!! They also have their own version of a fry sauce that was good as well. The service was awesome as well. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. There was a Mooyah in my home town, but I never got to try it before it closed. So when this Sandy location opened up, I was so excited I called my husband in the car. We went last night as a family. I got the Cheddar Bacon BBQ burger, and my husband got a bacon cheeseburger. Before noticing the little "100% Angus beef" sign, I told my husband, "The meat is REALLY good. Like on its own, it tastes so good!" I could've used some fixings on my burger like lettuce and tomato or pickles, so now I know to ask for next time. We got the shareable fries, which were massive! I can't even imagine how the family size fries look. I liked the fries but could've used them a little more done; that's the downside of hand cut fries is that some are crunchy and some are soggy. I got the Oreo shake, and it is probably the best milkshake I've ever had. It was SO creamy. Next time I have a hankering for a shake, I'm coming here. For two burgers, a kids meal, a drink, a shake, and shareable fries, it cost about $42. Just if you need an idea of spend. Burgers are $9-12 depending on what you get. I feel like the food quality justifies the price. Ketchup and napkins are on each table. If you need ranch, fry sauce, or BBQ sauce, there are lots of bottles in a mini fridge on the counter. You just use it and return it. The service was good; the guy at the register was very enthusiastic and friendly. Our food also came out super fast, which is good because I was shaking from hunger. While our table was clean, the floor was very slippery and greasy. We were there at about 5-5:30pm, so not quite the end of the day. First time trying the place and i don't really care to come back. One thing i did love were the buns. They feel homemade. Super soft and not the full look of a regular bun. We tried to stop by before the RSL game Wednesday. We got there right about 6:20 after realizing Crown burger was closed. We figured we'd give Mooyah a shot. We've heard good things decided to take the drive-through to be a little bit faster. Ordered our food; I wanted to the cheddar bacon barbecue burger and ordered it without cheese because I am allergic; confirmed that, yes, it was just no cheddar, not a replacement cheese, just no cheddar and then we pulled around the corner at which point there were two cars ahead of us. We were third in line, from when we got there the 1st car had to wait about 5 to 7 minutes before it pulled away and then we just started sitting... and waiting... No one talked to us and eventually about 20 minutes in, I spoke to the car ahead of us who said they were waiting on just two kids burgers. It was about another five minutes till they finally got their food so in total, we sat in your drive-through from ordering till getting our food for 27 minutes. Then I parked and got ready to eat my food near the RSL Stadium to find that my burger had no bacon on it and my patty appeared to be the same size as the kids burger I ordered. These are some pretty serious issues along the way, 27 minutes in a drive through line is absolutely ridiculous especially with no communication from your staff. It does appear that they threw in a few business cards for a free burger, which is cool I guess, but they also didn't mention it in the bag so we almost missed them and tossed them since they had moved to the bottom of the bag and didn't get all the napkins out. Again communication. I returned the following day when I was told the manager would be available to talk to and there was no manager available. They suggested I'd go to the Riverton location where the manager they could handle that was available OR I could email them. Customer service tip...if a customer has returned because of major service issues and the appropriate person to respond to it isn't present, you collect their contact info and contact the customer. Don't force the customer to have to do even more work. I'm gonna say I'd stay away until they figure some things out. Oh, and upon learning that my burger wasn't even made right they simply said "Oh I'm sorry that's too bad". Safe to say their customer service leaves much to be desired. We saw a TikTok video about this place, so our family made the drive from Bountiful to check it out. It's a nice location with plenty of parking. The ordering process is easy and you just order at the counter. Our worker was super friendly and we ordered a mushroom Swiss, a bacon cheeseburger and I ordered a build your own with Swiss, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, avocado and a fried egg on top. We also ordered a loaded fry and a sweet potato fry and cookie dough milkshakes. We were pleasantly surprised when we bit into our burgers at the great flavor they had. The loaded fries were good but I thought the sweet potato fries were much better. My daughters loved their shakes and said they had lots of cookie dough pieces. Mooyah has bangin burgers. I always stop here when I'm in Utah and it never disappoints. Their bacon cheeseburgers & fries are delish (you get SO MANY) and the customer service is superb!!
