Just moved to the area and thought I would check out Dog Haus. The burgers and brats are both good- i decided to try the most basic of each option, just to get a lay of the land, so i got the cheeseburger and das brat. The burger is a good smash burger and the brat is a good brat. Both were cooked great and good choice of options for whatever toppings/options you may be feeling. The onion rings were fire. My two negatives: 1: The price. It's not insanely expensive, especially when you consider how large the size of the items are, but definitely on the pricier side if you're just wanting to hop over on lunch break or something. 2: The buns. I have to assume their Hawaiian bun is a love it or hate it type of deal. I found the buns too sweet and they got soggy very quickly. It's a cool idea with the Hawaiian bun, but I found it to be less than desirable for my own taste. Would be cool to see an alternative option. Overall a good spot and will likely be coming back. read more

Food was alright - Service was horrible! We walked in, looked at the menu for literally 10 seconds, and then were told by the guy behind the counter to "let him know when we were ready to order". He then walked away to the back and didn't come back. For several minutes. We ended up ordering digitally, which was fine. But we sat there for a few minutes wondering if the guy was going to come back... It took 20 minutes to get our food. (There were maybe 3-4 other people in the restaurant, it wasn't busy.) When we got our food, my chili and my hotdog were cold... and my husband's order was wrong. I would have given this review 2 stars... but I'm giving it 3 stars because the food tasted pretty good, and when we gave them the feedback in person, they actually wanted to make it right, and they gave us a cookie.... Honestly I don't do this ever but I just have to say something about their service heres. Shitty service.. they don't call out your name when your foods done it just sits there until you go up and ask.. and it wasn't just me I saw multiple waiting for no reason but not a good first impression honestly.. we waited 30 mins for our food just to find out it was just sitting on the counter. We sat there waiting and listening and no one said anything. When I go up and ask about our food they stop their side convo and look at the food sitting there and slides it to me like we weren't just waiting forever. They've gone down hill over the years. I use to come here all the time. I then moved away and stopped by while visiting. Several drinks and soda fountain were out of order, they just taped over menu items they no longer offer. They also had a handwritten sign near the menu with the word attention specifying the types of bratwurst and sausages they have or we're out of stock with. I can't remember. But the handwritten signs all over the place gave the impression they were struggling. It's like they just stopped with general maintenance and upkeep even though every single time I've ever been I've always had quite a few customers. I've come here for a lunch a few times with my job being in Sandy. The restaurant is usually empty, so I typically have the place to myself, which I really appreciate. They serve some of the best burgers/dogs you can buy from a restaurant. Truly the food is 10/10. It is pretty expensive, however, with a double patty burger alone bringing the total past $16. I'm in town working with a youth group and we stopped for some quick breakfast. A friend had a recommendation of a place called "Bad Ass Burritos" that's within this restaurant. Staff was friendly and open and helped us navigate the menu options. Plenty of seats setup in community bench style. I got the Bronco Burrito which had avocado, pickled jalapeños, bacon, chipotle aioli and an over medium egg. It was an awesome surprise to get a bit with runny yolk and all that flavor. Also had a cookie, best way I could describe would be a larger "chewy chips ahoy" which was soft and slighter under baked. Hands down my favorite way. The burrito, cookie and soda were a little over $20 which felt high but the flavor was really great and makes up for the pocket burn. I'd recommend and am willing to return. read more

Dog Haus is great for meat eaters, vegetarians, and vegans. I love that there's classic comfort options for everyone. We got the CaliDog, impossible corn dog, and impossible hot chicken sandwich with a side of tots. Everything was tasty. The corn dog wasn't my fave as it's pretty traditional fried so it's crunchy and I prefer softer batter. Service was minimal as you only interact when grabbing your food, but kind regardless. read more

A solid 4 stars. Food was great and man the tenders were really good. Very well seasoned, crunchy AND crispy. The burger was great, serving them on Kings Hawaiian rolls is a fantastic choice. The onion rings on top were also good, and the BBQ sauce was very good. I wish the fry sauce or ketchup was out in the front for easy access, but I won't fault them too much for that. This was our first time coming here and we loved it! The food was served relatively quick and there was a good amount of seating. The only issue is that the lights hung really low and felt a bit in your face. We ordered a hot dog, a burger, and the cheese fries. The hotdog was very high quality and both the hotdog and burger were built with care. The cheese fries also had enough cheese which isn't always the case with cheese fries! I love that they have so many good vegetarian options. My husband is not vegetarian and he loves it too so it's the perfect place to make us both happy. I feel so lucky that I have this gem right around the corner from where I live! Again it always comes down to flavor for me and this place packs all the right flavor I desperately need. Half the time when I get a burger somewhere the cook/chef thinks that the condiments make up for the lack of seasoning on the actual patty but this place just speaks my language. Even the standard cheeseburger on that Hawaiian roll with the crispy fries on the side and the iconic fry sauce just makes my day every time. Also don't forget to try their kick ass breakfast burritos because that's a part of their menu that can't be missed. I'm excited to try their corn dogs one day and their chicken sandwiches. Love their breakfast burritos. The "haus burrito" is my favorite but you can't go wrong with any. Recently had one of their all beef hot dogs, the "cowboy" on a Hawaiian roll and it was also great. We ordered two items but the manager, who took our order, insisted that we ordered three items because he failed to listen to us. He refused to refund our money and so we gave the extra item to someone standing in line who took it and left. We were happy to help someone out. And we were happy not to pad the sales numbers here. I loved this place in Houston and was so excited to see it was here in Utah as well!! Food was great, just as I remembered and the place was clean and someone constantly cleaning tables whenever someone leave. Even if it's slow. (Which a lot of places lack doing this) Burger was amazing, would recommend the Little Mule 100%. Normally burgers can get soggy if there's too much wet ingredients but I found that this burger held together the whole time and didn't get soggy at all. I actually wish I could review the food but unfortunately due to very lackluster and poor service I can't speak to that! I can only give a review of their customer service which is terrible! I used their kiosk order system which you're prompted to use and my order showed completed and final and asked for the classic " give a tip". I waited 10-15 min thinking this was pretty long. During that wait I asked one of the workers if they had salsa and he looked at me with a pissed off face and just said " no we don't do that" and was bugged I even asked. After a while I asked the head cashier nicely why the group behind me, which was a larger party got their food first and he said " I don't know let's see" he looked and couldn't find my name and just said " guess it didn't go through" ill take your order now though. My issue is, if you see me standing there in a fairly empty building waiting like a jacka$$ you should probably put two and two together and see if there is a problem. Not asking for a free burrito but do something to make YOUR wrong RIGHT! Don't just disregard your customer that YOU WATCHED USE YOUR KIOSK and even helped me at the kiosk too!
