So today, Thursday, September 18, five guys apparently offered a buy one get one burger deal for national cheeseburger day however, two stores informed me it could only be done through an app which I have the Five Guys app. There is nowhere to apply this deal anywhere and it is apparently the only way to get the deal Upon the checkout procedure and screen before making the purchase. There's an apply code button the employee at this location gave me two codes to try. Neither one worked. I even went through ordered the burgers individually. I switched the burgers around. I did every combination of two burgers you can think of including identical burgers nothing worked. This promotion was a fraud this promotion wasted an hour of my night. The employee suggested I go to another storewhen this location is only two minutes from my house like am I supposed to go to another store creating an hour more driving already being 7 o'clock dinner time and I'm hungry. This has been a terrible experience and I've wasted a lot of time because your phony deal just flat out did not exist and I think your app seriously needs an update when you offer a deal be like McDonald's and update your app daily. -Irritated and hungry I'm hoping this issue writes itself and someone reaches out because I've written a corporate about it and suggested they modify their app... Terrible, I went in on a Wednesday night and apparently Wednesdays are bad days for them. I ordered a chocolate shake which I usually don't have any problems with from other places, but when I got my shake it was warm and watery, and they told me that they also didn't have any whipped cream. Very disappointing with the 5 guys performance. I'm never ordering from there again unless they prove that they can redeem themselves. And their lids are shitty, I couldn't even put my straw in the lid. read more

I placed a phone order at 9:50 PM on June 20, 2023. The employee took my order and said that they would be closing at 10:00 PM. I pulled up at this location at 10:05 PM. The doors were locked so I called in and told them that I was outside to pick up my order and they said because I wasn't there at 10:00 PM. They threw the sandwich that I ordered away. I am very dissatisfied with the customer service at this location. They should have not took my order and wasted a whole burger, if they truly made the burger. I've always loved Five Guys I've had in many other cities and states. This one has poor management and execution. It literally stands out as one of the worst locations in the nation. If they executed the food properly and it was served hot, fresh and with the same expected quality I'd be willing to overlook the way it's run. At one recent visit my burger was ready in 45 seconds. When I asked them why l, they told me they add extra pattys to the grill. Who knows how long that was sitting there. Another visit, I ordered a lettuce wrap and it was shoved into a solid 'white core' of lettuce with no greenery in sight. Awful. The third (and final) visit I added a vanilla malt to my take order. When I got home, I noticed no malt. I had ti call them, after paying the newly raised price of $25 for a little cheeseburger, small fry, soda and malt it was upsetting. The kid on the phone could barely carry a conversation so I asked for the manager. He told me he was the manager! He said they removed malt from the menu but haven't taken it off the board. I specifically asked about it and apparently the employees don't communicate. It's worth an extra drive to avoid this location at any cost. read more

I have always liked their burgers. It's the price that gets me. For a plain burger with the bun and the meat...it just shouldn't be $8. Back in California, there's a chain called In-N-Out burger that's the bomb.com and it's similar on a lot of ways to five guys, except it's more affordable,and tastes better. Anyways, this location offers online ordering and I find it is actually faster to check-in and get your food rather than calling your order in and waiting once you get there. Fries typically overflow in the bottom of the bag, despite what size you order, except for like once when I got a regular Cajun and there was only some fries in the cup which was a weird day. lol please five guys, lower your prices back to what they used to be 10 years ago read more

I met my mom here for lunch. It is pretty standard for a five guys, i.e. if you have been to one, you have been to them all. When we were there, the was no line which is amazing given that it was lunch time. Though there are a lot of food options nearby and we haven't been back so I guess that is what it is. The food is the same as all five guys, basically your standard burgers and fries. The food came out in the requisite paper bags as all of the food does from the five guys. My mom want the fries to be cajun but given that I had recently been to NOLA and enjoyed real cajun, she got it on the side. While this is a nice option, I would imagine that it would have been better to be on the fries before they came to us . I will probably be back once we have exhausted all of the other food options in the area. read more

My friend and I stopped here yesterday afternoon before running a bunch of errands. The restaurant was fairly busy but service was stellar. We each got a cheeseburger and split a pop and little fry. Our total was roughly $20 The food is made to order so it's your typical in and out type place. My burger was in a lettuce bowl with my toppings all on the side. While I don't have a gluten allergy, I usually go bunless for burgers. They did ask if I had an allergy, which I appreciated. Food was done in about 10 minutes. You definitely leave feeling full. Even the little fry is enough to feed about three people because they overflow the container into the bag. They have a coke freestyle machine so you have plenty of pop choices. Biggest complaint was the restaurant was a sauna. I honestly felt horrible for the workers. Poor air circulation and lack of air conditioning when it was over 90 degrees outside. We originally went to 5 guys while in the DC area visiting my brother. It was such a unique concept and the burgers are mouth watering. When we heard they were going to become a chain restaurant we were excited to try it here in Michigan. And then, to our delight, they put one right by my house and then one right by his! So we can get it as a treat no matter whose house we are at! (Although we are both dieting, so this is definitely only a once in a while treat!) The concept is similar to that of maybe a sub shop. You stand in line. You order your burger. It is made to order. So you can customize it anyway you want. Make sure to order fries. They give you a ridiculous amount of fries which are just poured right into the bag with the burger. Your order comes to you greasy, hot, and delicious. So exciting! I want one right now! Dang diet. This place got me out of my Yelp retirement. What an absolute disappointment this place is. Who is in charge here? Sunday 10/20 I walk in, no line, I place my order at 7:37pm... let the fun begin. Ok so since I didn't get my food ( one hamburger and regular fry) until 8:08 pm. A full 31 minutes if my math is correct, I had lots of time to analyze this place. First of all its disgusting inside. Ok I get it, people throw peanuts on the floor. But the amount of shells caked in the corners are obvious they only sweep once a day, at best. The tables! Oh the tables. They are sticky and gross, after trying to sit at two of them I decided to just stand for my "short" wait. White I Waited, forever, I saw customers walk up to the two ketchup pumps. I mean this is a burger and fry place. Both empty, why wouldn't they be. The soda machine, they have two, I watched one guy try every kind of pop and they were out lol. He went to the second Machine and yelled back at his buddies this machine still has coke, like he struck gold or something. The guy next to me, says to me "how long you been waiting" like we are in some kind of bizarre club all waiting for our food. The looks on every customers face was absolute disgust and overall pissed off. Literally I've never had a worse experience. Honesty, who owns this place? I don't know what these negative reviews are all about. I was so happy when they put this place in and it didn't disappoint. It's not a gourmet restaurant, it's fast food, it's just really good fast food. Yeah it costs more than McDonald's or whatever but that's because it's way better. The seasoned fries are awesome. I love this location of Five Guys. I'm closer to the Auburn Hills location and it's okay but this location seems friendlier. The food is phenomenal. I love the hamburgers. Because all of the toppings sound interesting I wind up having a giant one with two patties. The fries are also good and a small is actually a huge. This is also one of the few places I know that has the Coke machine and I adore raspberry Coke. I love this place and the only thing I would dislike is the fact that it can be expensive. read more

We placed our order at 5:25 online and my husband ended up waiting 45 minutes for it to be ready. There was only 3 other people waiting so it's not like they are overly busy. Granted I know we are in a weird state of panic right now with the virus going around but we chose to support five guys instead of the other restaurants around town. The employee must have asked my husband 6x what his name was. We ordered a pop, my husband had to ask for the cup (it wasn't offered). There were not straws or lids so he had to ask for those too. After waiting forever they finally asked if my husband had arrived (even after telling them over and over his name) his order was finally ready. When we went to eat our food it was cold and my bacon cheeseburger didn't have bacon on it. So I paid more for a product that i didn't get. I'm extremely disappointed in the service and quality of food coming out of this location. They are extremely disorganized and offered no apologies for being 38 minutes later than what the order should have been. read more

Most of the time my order is perfection. I even sometimes get called by name when I walk in, so I'd call myself a regular. Fries are amazing, the burgers always perfect, but the dogs....oh the dogs are my favorite and divine. Top it off with a peanut butter chocolate banana milkshake and we're in business. Yeah, I try not to go at closing time anywhere, and it depends who is working as to the cleanliness or management. One of the managers barely smiles and doesn't acknowledge conversation but I assume she's just introverted. Sometimes I go in and the tables need wiped, but the cooking area always looks clean and from having had a family restaurant, I can tell clean. Over all yummy! Sorry, but just 2 stars. This was our first visit to a Five Guys. The regular burgers were a bit expensive since fries and a drink are priced separately. Will definitely order the single "Little" version in the future. The owner/manager/cook specifically explained how the numbering system defined which burger was which in the bag, and some of the condiments still were on the wrong burger. The burgers were good, not great, more on par with a Wendys than with Smashburger, Culver's, or Shake Shack. The fries were good, with some extra tossed into the bottom of the bag to impress the customer. But the shake wasn't ready when the burger was. And why waste a bag for everyone? Some MBA at corporate decided using trays was too much of a hassle even though the free peanuts seemed to be just a way to make customers ignore the wait after ordering. read more

I myself worked at Fiveguys through high school for 4 years, always is to be held at a high and professional standard but today's staff was inappropriate, appeared inexperienced, and unprofessional. They are all trained to drop what you're doing when a customer comes in to take their order immediately not told to "hold on". Then they proceeded to bicker and argue between each other over who was responsible for which station leaving the fries not to be dropped until already at a 10 minute ticket time. From 11:50 ticket to the bag being handed over at 12:06 they switched the tops of our burgers which then made my ketchup into ketchup and mustard. When remaking my burger the newest pattie went to another customer and no apology from anyone. Disappointed in today's staff. Usually a decent experience but this location is pretty slow usually most of the time. Make the drive to the Macomb location off of Hall rd. read more
