I'm gonna be honest, I only review Cesar Salads so this is somewhat unfamiliar territory. But that hamburger was GREAT. I had the "little hamburger" I add ketchup. Because I LOVE ketchup. I also had the fries and unlimited free peanuts. I didn't realize how much I loved nuts until I tried those nuts. They were salty I like salty nuts. In the future I would probably not go here again because I prefer Cesar salad not little hamburger. But I will say if you prefer hamburger this is the place to go! read more

I returned to this place earlier today. Waited 21 minutes for a burger with lettuce and mayo and a regular size fry. Unbelievable. This is the worst 5 guys burgers and fries I have ever been to. Not sure why corporate has not shut this terrible location down yet. Something has to change. Terrible ownership. read more

This is the first Five Guys Burgers & Fries I've ever been to and I have to say I am hooked. I place all of my orders online so it's ready when I arrive. I've never had to wait and the food is always fresh and stays hot until I get home. The staff is wonderful and they are getting to know me very well because I have to admit I go here more than once a week. It is so good that I'm becoming a Five Guys Junkie! It's the best burger in town and they always get my order right. What more could you ask for? Keep up the great work! I'll probably see you tomorrow. read more

Great food! Wish it was a little cheaper but at least it's always good. Delicious! Clean location but floor always feels slippery. Place was hopping when my family and I arrived. We had to wait around 10 to 15 mins for our food. But was worth the wait.... read more

My husband, pup, and I went here for lunch this afternoon. The service was amazing, everybody working was so happy and in such positive spirits, singing to the radio and having a great time. It made our experience so much better. The only reason for the 4 stars is because for 2 cheeseburgers, a large fry, and fountain soda it was $30- a tad bit pricey for our liking. read more

Third-Five Guys Burgers and Fries I've been to and the experience was excellent once again. Double burger with cheese and all the toppings with a pile of fries on the side. Burger and fixings were fresh and the fries are amazing. Will continue to go back for a great, greasy burger. read more

I'm super happy they opened some on the East Coast. Their food is fresh, the staff are happy, their is a lot more variety then what you would think, and hey free peanuts! They accept all major credit cards. read more

They make sure the burgers are done the right way! The wait is a little long, but it isn't microwaveable mcdonalds! Came in on a Thursday night and the cashier was quick and friendly and made sure my order was exactly what I wanted. Nothing to complain about! read more

5 guys is good not great. They are greasy though. I personally don't mind but some might. I like Jakes better personally but burgers are all preference. I feel weighted down for the rest of the day when I eat here. 3.5 for me. read more

For a burger joint they are pretty good not great but good a little pricey for burgers and dogs and a little lacking in consistency my go to burger is cheese sautéed onions and mushrooms I'm a regular fry kinda guy and they are usually very tasty bottom line they are worth a try if burgers are your thing read more

Just had a GREAT experience at Five Guys Shelton. Stopped on way home from Burn Clinic. Vinnie and Liz greeted us with smiles and heartfelt welcome. Vinnie noticed gauze wrapping on sons arm and inquired. Ian told him he was burn patient. After some questions while we ordered, Vinnie was encouraging and told Ian to hang in there - that things would get better. He then proceeded to comp our lunch!!! Never had that happen before...ever! Was incredibly encouraging and uplifting to find a restaurant and employees that genuinely care for serving their customers and spreading some encouragement. Can't thank Vinnie and Liz enough for making our day shine a bit brighter. BTW - Five Guys burgers and fries are the BEST!! Count me a repeat customer to FG Shelton. Highly recommend! read more

You walking into the place a guy at the grill yells at you asking for your order. Completely unprofessional! Then the fries are not done! This is got to be the worst location of a five guys in the entire chain! This location needs a complete overhaul of professional's and trained employees. I've always considered Five Guys one of my favorite restaurants, after my experience today it certainly takes number one. After leaving Bridgeport Hospital feeling discouraged, I figured I could go for a good (great) burger. Approaching the counter I wasn't expecting such generosity and concern. Vinny quickly read my face telling I wasn't in a good mood and spotted my injury. After explaining what had happened, him and Liz without hesitation offered my meal for no charge. I was reluctant to accept it but they insisted. He told me that in his job his goal is to make people happy. His energy and kindness brought me right out of mood. The wait was not long for the meal and when it arrived, their incredible burger and fries made me completely forget about my bad experience at the hospital, and it took me a few minutes to be content with one soda do to their awesome and wide selection! Not only do I highly recommend the food, but this Five Guys in particular has an incredible staff who take pride in their job! read more

I was craving a nice juicy bacon cheeseburger so instinctually I hooped in my car with my gang and we drive to the nearest five guys we can find. We were ready to empty our wallets just for a cheeseburger to sink our teeth into. And we got oh boy did we get it. I manjed on that burger like I haven't eatin in months. My meal was soon spoiled on my Jewish friend complaining on how the fries were 4 sheckles. So much in fact my friend was shaking him because his face was red with anger. But all this didn't stop me from enjoying my meal. If I had just gotten the cheeseburger this rating would have been a 5, but my pidgin brain thought it'd be a good idea to get the little Cajun fries. First few fries were so succulent and had the perfect spice to them. About 10 more deep my mouth felt like I had just eatin a concoction of Ayran juice and a bottle of Tabasco. But I managed to demolish the entire batch. Oh boy was my stomach hurtin. AND OH BOY AM I PAYING FOR IT!!!! I am sitting on my toilet right now as I am writing this review and it feels like Lucifer himself is trying to breach my butthole. Other then that I had a great meal, but next time I'll make sure to stay away from those satanic Cajun fries. read more

Their hotdog is probably the best on Bridgeport ave. at least. Primo condiments if you like the condiments and very tasty meat options. It just tastes more fresh and higher quality than other fast food joints. Different level. I will be back there countless times when I don't need WiFi. Nice service. read more

Very impressed after my first visit to a 5 guys. I stopped in with a friend for lunch on 12/21/13 but wasn't sure what I was going to order because I'm not a big red meat fan. The Veggie sandwich with cheese was a great choice, very good, and I can't remember the last time I ate fries from any restaurant that tasted so good. The line was long so I thought we would be waiting a long time to get our food, but they got the orders out quick and they all seemed to have a smile while interacting with customers. read more

I've been there twice and each time the service was slow..There was 1 person who's order was placed at least 5 min ahead of mine and another person came in 5-7 min after me with a large order..we were all served at the same time..we literally waited as they fixed the large order as if ours wasn't important.. The food is great but speed of service lacking. As I sat there watching how they ran the grill I could clearly see they cook one order at a time and handled it from start to finish before moving onto the next order..this means someone's completed order is left sitting until the next order is completed and then served together. It's an easy fix but somebody needs to take a look at the flow of things to become more efficient. read more

My first time there last week. Impressions: Pricey. Burger tasted great. I can see why people like the place. But even with two patties seems like not enough meat, they're thin. Most of the bun filled with tasty condiments. Didn't try fries, looked good. Help friendly and very animated, kept saying hi to me as I was waiting - in between deafening shouting of order numbers. I'd come back for the taste, but felt a bit overpriced. Guess I needed the fries to fill me up. But then it would be $10 for a burger and fries.... and a customer came back to the counter saying something was either missing or not done right with her burger order, girl said they "can't take it back". Huh? I don't know if customer was being unreasonable and returning it for credit, lol, but seemed they coulda done something to rectify. I'll give them a pass on that, but would've rated higher. read more

I've been to 4 or 5 other 5 Guys in the state and love them but the Shelton one is by far the worst. This is the only one that screwed up our burger order twice (left off some toppings that were clearly on the order) The are also the stingiest with the fries, At every other 5 Guys they fill the fry cup and then dump in a generous helping of extra fries more than twice the size of the order. In Shelton they add extra fries with a small measuring cup. Since this one is the closest to us, we've been on several occasions and the results were the same. The burgers are a bit pricy but the extra fries at least adds some value, but not in Shelton. read more
